Am I the only one that thinks the latest version of tapatalk is awful? Everything is harder to find, the timeline posts now look stupid, and the mark as read checkmark is gone. I might have dump it, but I like having the notifications for certain threads.

Oh you must of just did the merges the last day or two. I apologize for that, since I just assumed that deleting the Cell record would not mess up the Form lists, but I was wrong and did not test it out like I should have. All the pages are up to date though and I have played with everything for about 5 hours already, so it shouldn't cause any issues now. -
Realistic HD Mushrooms (by Halk_Hogan_PL) Just one mushroom, but more are coming. The one that is in it, Fly Amatia, is really nice in the screens. One to keep an eye on as it grows since the Mystery Modder file is gone.

Okay I figured it out, but it's more work than before. Still not a crazy amount though. Should be easy enough for even the empty headed. Just have to delete the Error in the FormID Lists. I think it requires FNVEdit to be restarted though, so it takes a few extra minutes to prevent Doc Mitchell from becoming the next Waco, TX. -
Don't be scared of that particular torrent. We may or may not be the ones that uploaded it. SRO at 200 Megs seems incredibly small. The torrent is like 3 GB if I remember correctly.

Well, my add merging instructions for the extra weapon pages don't work. If you went through them, then I'm sorry about that. It makes the game not start for some reason. I have no idea why it wouldn't work, but I can't get them to work. I think the Cell data is also needed for the FormID lists so there are a bunch of errors in those if you delete the weapons from the world. I may try something else like moving them all into the floor which may be done with a script that goes through and sets everything's Z position to -30K. -

Did you add ENBoost/ENB? That could mess stuff up too. It has it's own AA/AF. -

Did you delete your vanilla INIs and restart the launcher from Steam to regenerate them? There may have been some left over settings in there. Once you regen your INIs make all your INI changes from MO's INI Editor. You might also try using Nvidia Inspector to change the FNV profile to force AA/AF through your card instead of the game. -

I updated the additional weapons page now. It is the same idea as the Millenia's one, but it's a little more complex for deleting the easy to reach weapons. I also added some cleaning instructions and other FNVEdit instructions for mods that had some wild edits. The merging insturctions pretty much assume you've already done all the cleaning and removal of wild edits. Also, added two more guns. The Tesla Rifle and Tesla Assault Rifle, the Tesla Rifle has that animation issue the Wattz Lazer Rifle has with the ironsights, so attach the scope. I'll try a new set of animations from WAR to see if they are any better soon. Alright thanks. I should start testing by tomorrow, so I'll let you know if I need that file, but I doubt it. -

Okay I did a second set of merging instructions for Millenia's Weapons. This removes the guns from Doc's house and it is very easy to accomplish. Even if you have already merged the plugins you can delete the guns. Just open the plugin in FNVEdit and delete Cell record, close and save. That's it. You could even do it on a current game, but I'd recommend not loading a save inside Doc's house. I'll be something similar with the Additional Weapons, but it's not as easy since they are in lots of different places. This will help people with no will power not cheat so much. -
There were textures in Serious HD that covered Solstiehm. I remember some of them being really nice when I tested all that stuff.

Okay, now that I did a little more digging I'm not sure that Crossbow fix will work. For one thing, the worldspace being deleted messes up the explosive bolt script. If you do it before merging then the merge won't work with since there are errors in the script. -

Alright, anyone that is having problems with the Crossbow mod giving them framerate issues in GoodSprings try this: For the Crossbow.esp: Load the plugin in FNVEdit Expand Worldspace and delete the 000846EA record If that doesn't work then load up the plugin and delete the Worldspace record completely For people with the merged plugin already: Load the merged plugin in FNVEdit Expand Worldspace and delete the 000846EA record if that doesn't work then load up the plugin and expand Worldspace->Block -1, 0->Sub-block -3, 0->000DAEB9->Temporary Now find the record XX00A803 Placed Object - Das Container and delete it. XX is the load order position that FNVEdit has the plugin in. Should be like 02, 03, 04, something low since you only loaded one plugin. Let me know if deleting only the first record works or not. I don't really have the issue, so not sure what the deal is. I think the Actor reference being in the persistent worldspace instead of the designated Goodsprings block is what messes it up. I had something similar happen in Skyrim. I'll add the instructions to the mod install instructions after I know what the problem is. -

I'll check that out. I have so many mods that I'm drowning in loot by level 3, so I need anything that helps my hoarding. I always forget just how many mods are in NVEC. I'm going to just put two sets of merge instructions since it's like a copy paste job where one gets the extra FNVEdit instructions. I think M24E1 is the only mod that will be free. I'll put some stuff in the changelog for returning users that are uninstalling mods. I think that only a couple mods I'm dropping affect saves, but I'll know more when I start messing with stuff. We do get sandstorms in western US deserts, but nothing like in Nevada Skies. They are pretty rare too, about one or two a year, but winds can get up to almost 100mph. We have tons of wind though, from about this time of year until the start of summer is wind, wind, wind. Also, our summer starts about 6 weeks earlier than most, not much spring to speak of here. We also have a mix of the powdery sand and the grainy sand, so it's more like dust storms and visibility is a couple miles at most, but most days it's just kinda hazy and washed out. Rain is rare too, but it mostly rains in December to January and July to September and 10 inches is a good year. Where I live in particular we've had droughts of 5 months or longer 3 of the last 4 years from end of January to sometime in July. I'm a ways from the Mojave, but the climate is about the same, just some different types of cactus there. Mountains, dams from man made lakes, and unbelievable heat. Maybe I'm just picky because I live here. -
Don't forget that there are bobbleheads for SPECIAL and Skills from New Steve Bison Hotel. They are in all the major places that you would think like vaults or some of the major quest buildings. Lucky Shades are pretty good to have since you can wear them with almost anything, but don't forget that Mick or Ralph sells the Naughty Nightware that has +10 Speech and +1 Luck for about 400 caps. It's good to grab it on your way to gamble so you if you have 6 Luck, that +1 will put you over the top for some easy blackjack winnings. With Alternative Start you can choose to start with like 2000 caps if you pick that million caps option in the setup monitor, so that will get you enough to go clean out the Wrangler and get on the strip to clean out those casinos. Good stuff, fire.

Start by disabling the merged plugins first. Make sure you have the latest versions of xEdit and the merge script. I heard of some people having weird issues with the older versions of xEdit and the latest merge script. You may even track down the beta version of TES5Edit on the iguadons.net (i think that is the name) forums and rename TES5Edit.exe to FNVEdit.exe. Then try to remerge stuff.

That would be the M24E1 and yes, that gun is awesome. AP cost in VATS, rate of fire, and damage are really well balanced with that mod. I think the hidden container that weapon mods sometimes place in under the ground is messed up for Crossbow mods. Authors add that container to world so it can be called from a leveled list or something. I think the correct way to do it is through a quest script, but I've never had to do it myself, so who knows what it is. I don't get that problem, but maybe I'll run around Goodsprings and see. As for LODs, I think the user with a problem had 2d trees, but that is known issue with vurts and he/she just needed the fix. We will probably never have great LODs for F&L unless I do them myself, which is probably not going to happen. It can take days to generate LODs with the GECK and I have no interest in doing that. I am considering FWL Realistic Wasteland Lighting actually. I'll probably start with that and URWL for testing pretty soon. I live in the Western US so I know what color palette and weather conditions to look for. FWL looks like it might actually get that right. -
PN has that one HUD element that counts down the Stealth Boy effect. It isn't a number though, it's octagonal graphic that has border which disappears as the Stealth Boy drains. As for other effects, I don't know of anything. I'd guess that Xilandro might be the guy to ask. He has some crazy UI mod that he's been working on with all kinds of stuff.

You may need to extract the BSA for Flashlight NVSE or another mod with a BSA. MO has a BSA limit for FNV. Thankfully Audley replied to this thread because I completely missed it. Hope you see this Trek.

I did see that mod when it came out. I bet it would go good with Dire Contraptions since that adds a couple dart guns. I can put the instructions separately so people can choose to remove them. It's actually very easy to do with FNVEdit. The Stery Scout is the rifle I'm guessing you take? I usually grab whatever is the newest gun to try it out, but my favorite sniper rifle from Millenia is the L96A1 which was added in the last WotNM update. No one would use it. I will start making mod threads when I think it's worth it. Maybe for mods that really big and need discussion. I don't really test mods like STEP does, so having a thread for that is pretty useless. see above comment. You can make one, but it's not necessary at this point. When you create a thred in the subforum there is a dropdown for tagging a game with Skyrim, Fallout, or Oblivion. -
Did you start a new game or load a clean save after the gameplay section? Some mods in there probably require a new game.

Okay, someone brought up that all the guns are in Doc Mitchell's crib and that it was toooooo easy to get them, so I am going to suggest that part of the merging instructions that I put instructions to disarm the ole doc by deleting the records for those placed items. The mods will still put their guns in the leveled lists and the vendor lists so you can get lucky and steal one off a dead guy or buy them. I even think that the Gauss RHINO pistol has a recipe that I didn't even notice before. I really like that gun too and it's ammo is in the leveled lists, so if the gun is too and it can be crafted then I'm down to delete it from the schoolhouse. It pretty much just makes the game better for people that have no will power and hording issues, so let me know. Let me know and I'll put those instructions in tomorrow-ish, maybe. Tonight I'm going to add four guns to the Addtional Weapons page. The Remington 700 which I forgot I even tested, the Rifle Locomotive which is awesome, THOR because it's crazy how badass that gun is, and VT-191 Murderlizer since it's unreal how awesome that gun is. The last two are overpowered, but THOR and it's mods are going to cost you like 60-70K caps and the Murderlizer is behind a very hard safe. Also, the Murderlizer runs on an MF Breeder and it only has one charge, so you can't just sit there and annihilate everything. THOR is a heavy weapon and most of those can clear out a room of deathclaws pretty quick, so it's about on par with those weapons. Both are by the same guy and there are some errors in the plugins so some FNVEdit work has to be done, which is why I thought adding the instructions to delete the stuff from doc mitchell's is no biggie. You'll already be deleting records from other plugins so it's like practice or something. The same person also asked me what version of completeness the guide is. I consider it at v0.8 right now. So, here are some things I'm thinking about for the guide going forward... I'm about ready to start giving the axe to some mods. I want to maybe drop a few gameplay mods that don't add much or are covered/partially covered by mods already included or I want to include. Some of those would be: KFE - Refill Water Bottles. I can't figure out how to get rid of the message. I use this about 3-4 times a playthrough, then I have way to much water in my inventory. If I can make water scarce then I'll think about keeping it, but those stupid messages need to be fixed. You take a sip from your trusty Vault 13 canteen. I've thought that with the pro-order pack stuff in the leveled list this mod might not even be necessary. I can't ever find canteen, does anyone know where it is? Less Intrusive Killcam. I can tell you how to make this on your own and combine it with another plugin that does something similar so you save a plugin spot. Should have done that a long time ago, but my eyes tend to just gloss over some stuff. Nevada Skies. I might goes with something like Realistic Wasteland Lighting or that URWL mod. I'm going to test those soon. Hall of Equipment might get the axe too. I bet most people wouldn't even notice. Alternative Blood Sprout. EVE can handle blood sprouts just fine. The first point leads to the mods I want to add because I can free up some much needed plugin slots. Here are couple I want to use: First, a Machienzo section with merging instructions. Great modder, reminds me of Yuki a bit where some of the mods are almost like fixes, here are a few I like: Primm Reputation Restored. Kelmych recommended this ages ago and it just slipped my mind. Honest Hearts Extensions. Not my favorite DLC, but maybe this will help. Regional Slots, Expanded Gambling. More gambling dammit, it's Vegas baby! Freeside Map Markers. I'll probably add some strip markers too. Three load doors to get to the NCR embassy suuuuuuuuuucks. Refined Casino People and Suits. This almost like a fix. Lonesome Road True Faction Allegiance. Already in the guide, so this would get added. More Challenges. Same modder as More Perks, so it would fit right in. Deserters Fortress. Same mooder as More Perks, but this one is a quest. FNV REalistic Wasteland Lighting. Explained above, I'm going to start testing weather/lighting stuff just for the heck of it. This was updated early Dec, where some others are no longer supported. Mr Radioactiv's Weapon Collection. Probably more guns that you'll ever need, but I think a bunch have NVSE functionality that allows for on the fly weapon mod switching like using a dot sight or scope with a hotkey. Dire Contraptions. By Imp, totally forgot to add this mod like months ago now. Dart guns and grenades. Really want to do a pacifist run if I can. More pages. Yep more supplemental pages for stuff. I already have a few and I like them, so that means I need MOAR!!! Conflict Resolution Page. I've been saying this for a while, a long f'n while, but I might actually do it this time. I started on it a while ago and if I do about 50 conflicts week, then it will be done pretty quick and I won't burn myself out on it. FAQ/Troubleshooting/Tips/Hints. I never did one, but I should. It would be so easy to just link to questions I've answered instead of getting PMs or having to retype stuff in threads. Also, people send me messages on reddit since I help people out there and it's like I'm now known to be the guy that did the Fallout guide on those subreddits, so I get asked stuff a lot. Additional Armor/Clothes. I have two for guns, so it's time to do a nice armor set page. Suggestions? More guns. I'd almost like those pages to be packs. You pick a couple from the list and then you move on, but I like the idea of there being a bunch of different ones that may not even be compatible or may overlap. It was a way for me to bring the community in on making suggestion pages, but everyone just waits for me to test it all out. I've almost gotten to the point that if you were to just come up with a list of guns, I'd make a page for you. MCM settings. I want to make them different for different playthroughs. Playing a heavy with power armor and lasers, do this, playing a ranger with with a bounty hunter duster and pistols, do this, survivalist/pacifist, do this. Like a way to customize a playthrough even more. My own mods. I've been playing long enough and have enough know how that I want things a certain way and the only way to do that is to make it myself. Limbs heal over time. Like you know in nature and stuff. If I cut myself it heals in a couple days. Limbs stay damaged and never heal until you use (Hail) Hydra or a Doctor's Bag. I think they would heal up a little everyday on their own. This could be an NVSE plugin for sure. Maybe this exists some, but I missed it. There is a mod that adds bobbleheads for Special and Skills and then there are lots of implants, so I want to lower the starting Special and Skills, so you aren't a freak of nature by level 20 destroying everything in sight. With a perk every level that you can setup in one of the PN MCM menus, it also allows you to add Special through a perk you can take ten times. This will add balance. Implants bother me. I love to have them, but wish they were tiered. The regen implant could be three levels where each additional level is 6000 caps and adds other bonuses like limb regen. I was working on this a while back, but am more serious about it now then I was back them. I even had thought up a Blade Runner backstory. Tyrell Corporation, More human that human. Wow, I really rambled on about stuff for while there. So, if you have been following this guide you know that I do these long posts every once in a while and then I go on to do about 25% of the stuff I say I will do. If I do 25% then that is bad. I need to do about 50% to ever smile again. This is all without doing an ENB section either, I left that out because I didn't even think about it till right now, but I'm tired.
