  1. Yes, one is to move the 1 hand swords from the hip to the back and the other is to place the daggers on the back, near where tramp stamps go. Also, make sure to choose the animation for those options too.
  2. That worked, thank you. EDIT: Maybe that procedure should be added to the FAQ.
  3. Weapons and Armor Fixes wiki page seams to have some errors with the tags. I'd fix it, but I've yet to teach myself any wiki basics.
  4. MO keeps telling me I have to use it's browser once to use for nexus links, but when I click the browser icon it will open up my default browser. Also, the nxmhandler.exe isn't helping either. Anyone know how to revert it back to using it's own browser?
  5. Get the ultimate edition for $5 bucks and also Fallout 3 GOTY for $5.
  6. I look at it in game last night and he changed up the UV map look better with the vanilla texture I believe and it has an excellent reflection now, much better in that regard and I believe HD ingots isn't that much of an improvement that it matters.
  7. Uninstall the the DSI and BSF mods and go fight some vampires and witches and other stuff that uses magic including using some yourself. If you stop getting crashes then it might be those mods. I've had my share of problems with them. Some people do, some don't.
  8. I guess it would be about as legal as the 4GB launcher mods. I think all the info we've gathered on this topic has now given us enough evidence to know where the problem comes from instead of just what the problem is. I can't throw up my hands and proclaim that I'm sure I know the causes, but inference and deduction are the only tools we have, other than SPM logs.
  9. 1) The install order should be what is listed on the STEP guide from top to bottom this very important for the conflicting graphics sections since so many of the files in that section get overwritten by mods later in the guide. Your ESP load order will be determined by BOSS not by the install order, those two are different from each other. 2) Not sure what you mean by optional parts, it could be different for every mod, some mods it's a standalone option, some it needs to overwrite the original, and some optionals need to be used instead of the original mod. Just be a little bit more specific, maybe an example, and we can give you a better answer. 3) STEP is broken into section so try to put Armor and Weapons mods right behind the Clothing & Equipment section in you install order. Something like CoT can be a bit tricky, but maybe after the Landscape section is the best option or at least where I put mine. Also, some of the STEP mods need CoT patches like Laterns of Skyrim and I think Minty's Lightning so get the patches from their nexus pages. As long as you keep the type of mod you are installing with other mods like it, you should be okay. One of the advantages of having the guide broken down by section. 4) I'd run FNIS.exe first then DSR. 5) Purple textures means that the texture is not loaded correctly, so something went wrong during the install or if you optimized a file that shouldn't have been. Big red exclamation marks mean that a mesh is missing. There is a dedicated missing texture thread for that as well.
  10. Also, the update uses new meshes for the Dwarven ingot and the meshes will not use the textures from HD ingots even if installed after SMIM.
  11. The mods that get merged should have a plus sign in the box if they are unchecked and the bashed patch is checked. Make sure you check the merge mods and leveled lists boxes and check the mods listed for merge mods.
  12. So, I'm still kinda fuzzy on the packing of the optimized files back into a bsa. Do we use BSAopt because it is so much better, or what? What exactly is the difference between the two when it comes to archives?
  13. This testing would probably be a good thing to try and at different sizes. We would then have an idea if the game crashes because of the LAA limit or something else in the engine that causes it. My money is on the engine seeing that you are going to approach the 4GB limit and then it just shuts down before loading anymore assets into the VAS.
  14. Quadro huh? We don't see a ton of people using those. Actually, you might be the only one. I'd imagine that turning down your resolution will up your FPS and fix some of the timing issues you've been having.
  15. Can you post your benchmarking data, or at least tell us your system spec and the FPS you've gotten for the intro. I've noticed that on really high settings that drop FPS below thirty that the intro is borked, might have to due with timing being off somehow if framerate is low.
  16. This is a much better choice considering the amount of work involved with TES5Edit to make a patch, inherit DLC changes, etc... The Core STEP guide should be approachable by as many users as possible, then as that user wants more they can move towards more complex modding with STEP packs.
  17. The conventional way is that any two folders with the same number are choices that you pick just one. So yes you pick either 10 draugr or 10 uglier draugr. With folders that are 10, 11, 12..... you should be able to pick as many as you want. Not all mods follow this convention, and with the advent of wizards it's can be up to the mod author.
  18. For Immersive Patrols and OBIS just use the non-merged version of Immersive Patrols. Then do not use the bandits plugin from that mod, I'd bet that would solve many problems.
  19. I don't think you can covert a 1k x 1k to 1k x 512. I'd imagine in your DDSopt log that all the textures 1024x1024 are now 512x512. I'm not sure that the game would right look right if you make 1:1 textures into 2:1 textures.
  20. Just remember to place them in the correct install order so they overwrite or get overwritten by the correct mods. I don't MO, but I'm sure it can do that otherwise people wouldn't use it in place of Wrye Bash. EDIT: Moving to troubleshooting and marked as solved.
  21. Yes, the entire guide is design to be installed in the order it is listed from top down, but that section specifically is really important to install that way. With MO or Wrye Bash you can install them in the correct way without having to start over.
  22. It looks really good, I'm going to play this right now. If it's half as good as Wyrmstooth then I know I'm going to love it. Is anyone putting together a STEP pack of quest mods cuz I wouldn't mind getting in on that action?
  23. It will not tell you all of them, but there will be warnings for some of the mods.
  24. The official STEP guide is about enhancing vanilla not about changing it which is what Alternate Start does. The idea is to create a jumping off point that people can then customize from there. Neo took this to next level with SR.
  25. Edited Sam's post, use {spoiler} in front of text and {/spoiler} after text replace { with [ to get it to work.
