  1. 20 is what I usually use but 15 is a good middle ground. 10 is just to bleeping short.
  2. That's my fault for not changing the links on my user page. The guide you are looking at is kind if a place holder if we ever start a STEP like guide for fnv. The one I'm working on now is for people that want a lot more gameplay, items, and quests.
  3. Spice of life is in there. First mod in does this make me look fat. I think some people might be going to the wrong page. I have one with the appended STEP_TYPE on the end of the page name and that guide is the initial version that follows an enhanced vanilla feel. The other is one I'm working on and it includes all the good stuff. You'll know it because of hunter Thompson vault boy passed out on the top of he page. Once I get eve into the guide it should be safe to install completely because I'll be doing mostly quests and companions after that and you can install those mid play through without breaking saves.
  4. You need to click the little button with the tools on it. Then go to the Workarounds tab and put 0.47.3 in the nmm version. Not sure what you mean by 7.0 and 7.1.
  5. Okay, I tested the improved sounds/wmx patch out myself and didn't have any problems so I put the patch up on the nexus here: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55256/? I didn't look over every gun the patch touches, but I did do most of them and it worked.
  6. In the sound category for the improved sound patch. Also the weapon category. If everything between my patch and nvec are green, then this isn't necessary. EDIT: Also, the if all the additional sounds in black have a matching sound in the patch then they are same, but you have to check the editorID, not the formID.
  7. I've finished the Improved Sounds/WMX patch. The old way of doing it was a bit of a hassle, but my way eliminates two extra plugin slots. I can't test it so expect your computer to kill your girlfriend if you test this. Load order: Improved Sounds other stuff WMX WMX-mergedDLC plugin improved sounds - WMX patch I named it the same as the old plugin so BOSS should sort and tag with Sound properly, but if it doesn't that is proper load order. https://copy.com/ZprNHEiR11mYG2GV If it works then I'll upload it later tonight.
  8. I didn't know there was a FOMM fork. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. If it is easier than using the NMM import I'll use it in my guide and b done with NMM forever.
  9. Before SMIM. Brumbek took the particle patch stuff and made some improvements to a couple thing so make sure SMIM overwrites.
  10. Oh cool, at least people are using it. I've converted the Improved Sound FX - WMX patch to the merged DLC from WMX. The Improved Sounds FX - WMX GRA Sharing fix is the one I can't figure out since it uses injected records to WMX GRA plugin, and I can't figure out how to get the plugin to change to injecting the WMX Merged plugin. dDefinder has given permission to anyone to make patches, so once I figure it out I'll post the new patches.
  11. That Pip Boy retext looks good. Thanks for that. Laurens, Newspapers, and Ghuols are already in the guide. Laurens is a brilliant mod, adds so much and Fallout really makes you realize just how much of the world is just bathrooms. Yam's conflicts with Open Strip or Open Freeside which I want to test, so I'm holding off on that until I make a decision on those mods. I'm also set on Hectrol's Duststorm, but both are good and can be interchanged no problem.
  12. Added a lot of bum instructions yesterday. Should be every mod in the list that boss doesn't sort. Any patches I add will include yup fixes for mods already in the guide. Have you been using my ADAM plugins yet? I haven't actually started a new game to test them and am still using the old ones.
  13. I know that Yukichigai got permission to use the big project's stuff in his his patch so it's just a matter of him having time to add it in and get over his bronchitis. I'd like if a bunch of mods started treating it as a USKP type thing and implementing the fixes. I did that with ADAM plugin I made and also for some WMX patches I'm working on.

  16. I kinda feel like NVEC and MMUE+ are kinda like guides in their own right. They have just been around for so long that they have combined the process into one big mod. I am actually thinking of moving toward FOOK-PN Convergence. It has a few levels that you can use and I think the first two are pretty awesome, but AWOP would be user preference. I will be adding someguy's mods when I get to that. I'd like the quests part to be plug and play, so people can pick and choose. Will be checking out Textures over Time and Book Diversity Project, thanks for that. I'm going to build out the current guide a bit and get some updated patches made for some stuff and add in EVE, companions, and quests before going back and doing texture compares for new stuff, but it is good to have a short list. Well, with FNV you still get Cabal's armors and Millenia's weapons, so it is the best of both worlds.
  17. Yeah looks like it is being used as a replacer, so don't use the plugin.
  18. Do not use open in explorer to delete textures. Use "Information", go to the filetree tab, find the files, right click->hide.
  19. Yes, the asterisk means to remove all the files that have something in place of it. You don't need to reinstall anything, use the hide function in MO. Just double click the mod go to the filetree tab and then find the files and hide them.
  20. Because there is no definitive answer. If you use ENB graphics then you have use ENB AF. I use driver AF since that is the best performance wise, but I admit that Skyrim and ENB AF seem to have a bit more quality. Almost everything thing in life is gray.

  22. Yes, it is for the latter. You can also get the 4.1 version of ADAM with a fomod installer on the guide. Then just get the merged plugin(s) I made to replace all the ADAM plugins and AI99's PN patch.

  24. You won't need to anneal anything if you do the one HUD and unified HUD last. They aren't being overwritten by anything else so you can do it before running a bashed patch. Have you had any trouble with Wrye flash resetting all your esp modified dates? Every time I start Wrye flash it resets every plugin's date and if messes up my load order.
  25. If you are using Wrye Flash then install in the order on the OneHUD site: 1. Deactivate Unified HUD (if used). 2. Activate Darnified UI. 3. Activate Project Nevada 4. Activate Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) 5. Activate all other HUD altering mods (see above list). 6. Activate One HUD (oHUD) *. 7. Activate Unified HUD *. You should be able to do everything with Wrye Flash up to number 6. Then do 6 & 7 with NMM. You won't need an import with MO. You can't use the import since MO uses a virtual directory and you would have install everything with MO and start the game through it too.
