Somehow, I think it's Deadly Diseases that is wreaking my game. I reinstalled iNeed without Deadly Diseases, and now I'm not getting the CTD I was getting earlier. Kind of a shame. I really like Deadly Diseases... but at least I've finally got a game going with Frostfall and iNeed again.

I'm getting a CTD at the Riverwood Trader (when Lucan's inventory opens). I have also gotten a CTD at the alchemist's shop in Whiterun, but I haven't tested that since my last attempt at re-installing. I'm not getting this CTD with my STEP: Extended profile, so I'm assuming something in one of these mods is causing it. I'll test later, but I'm burned out on the cart ride, atm. In the meantime, does anyone have any ideas what might be causing it?

Cloaks of Skyrim: Am I right in thinking that the instruction to install an extra plugin for CCO is old and not necessary for someone with a fresh STEP 2.2.9.2 installation? Same with "Winter is Coming"? Frostfall: I seem to recall some of the mods in STEP (either Core or Extended, don't recall which) that had compatibility patches that are not installed with STEP: Extended... but I don't recall which. Is there anything else that needs to be done to make this work correctly? Hunterborn: The installer lists a Frostfall patch, but it's grayed out. Is this okay? iNeed: Deadly diseases recommended? I'm going to try it out. Traps Make Noise: STEP: Extended has me install "Traps Make Noise". Survival has me install "Traps Make Noise And Are Dangerous". I am guessing that the trick to this is to install the second mod under a different name than the first (do not merge). Patch At Bottom: Is this current? Is this necessary? It makes me uneasy, for some reason.

This may be a strange question, but when I install the skse scripts from the archive, should the resulting mod be called SKSE, or what it defaults to: "skse 1 07 03"? I seem to remember the default causing a problem in the past...

I have a question about installing this mod, specifically this step: I suspect I just don't understand something very basic about archiving files. How does one rename it to Skyrim Redesigned-8954-1-0 but end up with a file without the -1-0 in it?

There are three "core" files in section 2.N Patches. Am I right in thinking that Better Shaped Weapons is listed after the Bashed patch only due to alphabetical order within sections, and that the Bashed Patch should be rebuilt after BSW is installed and activated? Also, MO seems to think I've already downloaded and installed this one before... and it appears I have. Somehow, it's listed between Ultimate HD Torch and Animated Clutter... but I'm not sure how it got there.

I test every phase with a new game, from the cart ride forward. Hey, if I just reinstall Skyrim Redesigned, but without the alchemy tables and money bags, would that mess any future STEPs up (such as the STEP patch at the end)?
-
Nope. Everything is plain old core.
-
It does.

Redownloaded and reinstalled... and nothing has changed. Coin bags and alchemy tables still... corrupted? Is that what causes that effect? In an earlier thread on this subject, I was asked about system specs. Here they are:CPU: AMD FX-6300 GPU: ATI/AMD Radeon HD 7750/R7 250E 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM Windows 8.1

Yes, I just figured that out, myself. Will do. Thank you.

Come to think of it, I think I did reuse a few, specifically the ones that aren't available on Nexus. Started downloading them, and then realized I already had them. Can I just redownload and reinstall them, making sure they're in the right place in the left pane afterward?

I just finished installing section 2.K (Clutter & Miscellaneous) and am now getting the following results. I got these results last time, too--always the coin bags and alchemy tables. Why am I getting this? How do I fix this?

DROPPED Better Males (by Chris57 and FavoredSoul)
Tarvok replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'm not sure if I've just ever really looked at Ulfric's face during the cart ride before, or if it is this mod, but I feel like Ulfric's emotions have changed from vanilla. My impression of him has always been that, bound and gagged, he had the look of a feral beast, impatient to get free, ready to bite anyone who gets too close. But this last cart ride, I looked more closely at my wagon-mates faces. Lokir was hilariously handsome. Ulfric, on the other hand, had a different look on his face: abject terror in the face of death. -
At least this is here in the thread. I can confirm Octopuss observations: the only files present in the "hide these files" detailed instructions are the furniturewood files, and if I understand what DoubleYou is saying, we shouldn't even be hiding those. Correct?

I just got done installing section 2.D Fixes. Benchmarking went smoothly, and I'm about to play the game a bit to test further, but MO is reporting an error: SKSE_Elys_ALTF4.log is in the Overwrite mod. Is it supposed to be there? Is it there because of a mistake I made, or something else? What should I do with it?

SSME seems to be working; it's crashing *less*. As to the textures, redownloading and reinstalling Skyrim Redesigned didn't work. I'll have to try again, only this time I think I'll just grab the files out of the package rather than relying on the FOMOD provided on this site, see if that works. But that can wait until after sleep.

IIRC, the STEP Patch has the Skyrim Memory Patch built into it?
-
Clearly, I did something wrong while following the S.T.E.P instructions. I'm getting random, semi-replicable crashes. The first one happened as I was exiting the Pawned Prawn (just got Bryjnolf his money). Every time I exited after reloading that save, crash. But I loaded an earlier save, rested and returned later, did the exact same thing, no crash. Random CTS were a thing before I installed all these things, but it's much more frequent now. Second crash happened when exiting dialogue (Ratway). Third one while entering a house in Windhelm. Then there's this: Coin purses are similarly skinned. The S.T.E.P. process is extremely time consuming... I don't want to do it over. Is there a fast way to fix these problems?

Huh. I did install it, but reinstalling it seems to have fixed it. Thanks. -
Missing master: Weapons & Armor Fixes_Remade.esp

To the best of my knowledge, I've followed STEP 2.2.8. (Core) exactly. I'm at the point where I'm ordering everything with BOSS, enabling the STEP Patch, and creating the Bashed Patch, but there's a problem. STEP Patch is giving a missing master error: Weapons & Armor Fixes_Remade.esp.I though I installed everything up to this point, so how do I fix this? -
ACCEPTED Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM (by Brumbek)
Tarvok replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I just finished S.T.E.P. 2.2.8, and BOSS isn't recognizing some SMIM esps, specifically: Where should I be putting these in the load order? -
ACCEPTED Audio Overhaul for Skyrim (by David Jegutidse)
Tarvok replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The Recommendations appear to assume that all these options are kept in a bunch of different optional downloads. Today, it's all in a single download with an installer, with the only optional download being a reduced reverb version. -
I'm on STEP 2.H. of STP 2.2.8, and got a CTD I've tracked to Diverse Priests. Maybe the Nexus page has been reorganized since the last time, but the default file automatically installs the Bring Out Your Dead and Consistent Older People patches. I'm assuming neither is needed (and the BOYD patch caused the crash) if I'm installing the entirety of STEP: Core.I went ahead and hid both of them, but installation instructions may be needed to either direct the user to an older version, or let them know they need to get in and hide these patches.
