  1. It's known thing. It's mentioned in the step guide here that dawnguard.esm may need to be cleaned twice. https://wiki.step-project.com/Dawnguard#Recommendations
  2. Where exactly is your SKSE.ini situated?
  3. No, that one file's a special situation.
  4. I do it often. I give the old machines to a local charity for the kids hospital. 3 of my last 4 machines plus a PS2 AND PS3 have gone like that. And no offence meant, Grant, BTW. :) The 3K machine's a bit of a what if, anyway. It's not likely to happen any time real soon. About all I may do to the current machine is add another SSD for games and leave the current one for system stuff. And about all I'd need after that is a borderline upgrade to maybe a 980 from the 780 Ti...
  5. I beat ya Grant. I just specced up a roughly 3 grand build for the next machine...
  6. I'm fairly sure that necklace mod in the guide needs the JIP NVSE plugin...
  7. Have done SRLE+REGS plenty of times, it's not hard.
  8. Are you running ENBoost? As for the lack of necklaces, did you install the JIP NVSE plugin?
  9. 1024 is the total amount, the 256 you set for the scrap heap is part of the 1024. 1024-256 is 768. That should be fine. See how you go now.
  10. What's in your SKSE.ini file? If you've made one. And if you have, where is it?
  11. Are you running an ENB?
  12. Optimized textures never hurt and usually help. If you're going to redownload the optimized texture packs, then you may not need it. And textures never really cause conflicts, per se. Only one texture is loaded for one object and it's whatever one is lowest on the mod order.
  13. Neo's just showing the Bling Bling. :) I have a Razer Naga MMO mouse with the 12 thumb buttons on the side. Extremely handy for MMO's, natch. I play one called The Secret World (which BTW I recommend wholeheartedly) and when muscle memory kicks in it's so easy and comfortable to use it's just not funny. Mine's the older, wired version with the standard Razer green glow.
  14. forum search found this thread: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/5011-dynamic-distant-objects-lod-dyndolod-141/
  15. Sounds good to me. Off to the modding drawing board I go!
  16. I meant the thread in the STEP hosted Mod Topics forum, Addictedxgamer. Sheson looks at that one all the time.
  17. Strange. And there's no other mods you're having any issue with? You've redownloaded and reinstalled the mod itself? The fact that the mod author mentions on the mod page that this may happen and how to fix it, without mentioning anything about Mod Organizer specifically suggests it's possibly not an MO issue itself. Still, I'll mention the same thing I always do when I see someone with their Steam install inside Program Files (x86), see if you can move Steam out of a UAC directory.
  18. Do you have the FNIS Creature pack installed? EDIT: Says you do. The mod page sugegsts if that happens to redownload and reinstall FNIS and the Creature pack. have you tried that?
  19. Neo, is the NPC's AI mod really that good I should redo my game to load it? What about SkyUi v5?
  20. Then you're probably best off putting this in the actual Dyndolod thread and seeing if Sheson himself can give you any answers.
  21. Please tell me you don't have that Razer keyboard on wave lighting, Neo...
  22. Did you do the TexGen part, and did you add the required line to skyrim.ini? Do you have the STEP texture Compilation?
  23. I wouldn't have a desktop in 40 degree plus Aussie summers without an aftermarket CPU cooler. They can be a bit fiddly, but as per phaser11 the CoolerMaster ones work well. You'll find that the Mobo will have a dedicated fan header for a CPU cooler fan, so no issue there. I can also recommend Noctua brand coolers. Mechanical keyboard wise, I have a CoolerMaster CMStorm Trigger and it's been bulletproof. I can recommend CoolerMaster gear on general principles.
  24. steals phasers suggested build and hides it away for myself as a basis for next machine :)
