  1. Regardless, this is just a weather that is used for maps. It can be altered via the CR Patch, if necessary/desired.
  2. You can set it via custom INI in BethINI.
  3. When has "trivial" ever stopped us? Haha! CL and Cathedral Plants are just vanilla textures that have been processed via ESRGAN. They're better than CSSET, imo, because CSSET has LE's fake shadowing that doesn't mix well with SE's lighting.
  4. No, it still needs to better compare to ElSopa, though these will likely win, imo.
  5. It's a texture change so it'll look different vs the mods you mentioned.
  6. Z is correct. This mod is redundant with xLODGen.
  7. Assuming you are referring to the SE Guide since you're posting here: 1: Anthology is just a collection of mods that have ever been within the STEP Guide, both LE mods and SE mods have their own. On the wiki they are together until we redevelop it. 2: Mods are chosen based on the STEP Mandate. 3: The "Core" terminology has been recycled for our new direction. In the past, installing Core or Extended mods meant installing the mods for only the mods marked "Core", or installing all the mods; "Extended". Users only installing the Core mods could do so as it was mainly bugfixes and texture replacements. Most "gameplay" type mods where excluded from a "Core" installation. However, the term has been recycled and will be used for our "Core Builds" in the future (these have not been developed yet). Now the Guides are meant to be install as a whole, meaning all mods are installed from the Guide and nothing is skipped.
  8. Yeah, I'm not so sure about that color. Really...it's the only thing putting me off. CSSET seems to be fine, imo. There are other replacers for this out there that could be tested.
  9. Yeah, The vanilla looks file on that one compare. There are a couple other amulets that are terrible in vanilla, though.
  10. I agree with with both, although this is Paarthurnax or another dragon, not Alduin. Alduin is black. Rustic is more muted, as Z mentioned, and looks like it fits the environment/lighting better. My eyes can see the extra texture clearity from the RS compare, even on smaller highslide thumbnails. Bellyaches looks a bit more blurred, though this could just be the movement and timing of capture.
  11. It's loose files so it's going to overwrite USSEP anywhere you put it.
  12. Yeah, the public discord will only be used for general chat and possible quick general support. All of STEP support will still be handled on the forums. Our discord will more or less just be a hangout. However, staff will likely used it for our purposes more than the hangout. It's very handy to coordinate releases, dev work, etc. when there is more than one person doing things at once.
  13. Did you run LOOT before starting the game?
  14. Discussion topic: OIL by Ramccoid by Ramccoid Wiki Link STEP SE Notes: Test Files: OIL v2 x1024 Oily Water Test against current STEP SE. STEP (vanilla) > OIL by Ramccoid
  15. Discussion topic: HD Terrain LOD Mesh by Dlizzio Wiki Link STEP SE Notes: Test Files: Main File (meshes) only! Test against current STEP SE. We used to have a mod for this in the LE Guide, so this should be an easy add. It'll require regenerating with the xLODGen process. Verdict: This mod is redundant with xLODGen, but the "Light" noise map itself is a big improvement. Need to verify that it behaves in transitions and weathers.
  16. Discussion topic: Skyrim Special Edition Upscaled Textures by Kartoffels Wiki Link STEP SE Notes: Test Files: 2x files There is probably little reason not to include this mod. It's the companion mod to Cleaned Skyrim SE Textures. It should also be tested against SE vanilla textures and has the same issue with grass and plants as Cleaned Skyrim SE Textures. The mod should be placed directly after Cleaned Skyrim SE Textures, so that it overwrites that mod. It should also be compared against current STEP SE to see if it's possible that it remove some other mods in favor of these fixed textures.
  17. Discussion topic: Cleaned Skyrim SE Textures by Kartoffels Wiki Link STEP SE Notes: Confirmed that some new artifacts are introduced due to batch processing and that the mod is packaged in a way that utilizes base game files in a non-standard way for modding. There is probably little reason not to include this mod. It should probably be tested against SE vanilla textures, though. For example, the plants and grass aren't very good because the mix of LE shadowing on the texture with SE lighting isn't good. I'm sure that is why Bethesda removed the shadows from these textures for SE. For that reason some more testing should be done. This mod is associated with the following and should be tested independently but with those other mods in consideration: Skyrim Special Edition Upscaled Textures (SSEUT) High Quality Tintmasks for Vanilla NPCs Quality CubeMaps - HD Cube Maps I am placing this and all dependencies noted above in my MO mod list as: Vanilla > CSSET Upon closer inspection, it's a hard sell whether or not to include the mod. Some textures are improved by removing artifacts from the BC1 compression and a bit of sharpness increase. It also looks like some of the grass shadowing has been fixed. However, on the other hand some issues are introduced such as: lost detail in tree mipmaps without any noticeable improved in closeup detail, shadowing on plants, and jaggies in some of the landscape textures. Then there are other textures that there is no noticeable difference until you really get down to the (still blurry) details.

  20. Discussion topic: ElSopa - Glorious HD Amulets SE by ElSopa Wiki Link STEP SE Notes: Test Files: Use whatever the resolutions of the current STEP SE textures. Test against current STEP SE. Also needs to be tested against this mod.

  22. Discussion topic: Superior Chaurus - 4k Retexture by Shoyguer Wiki Link STEP SE Notes: Test Files: Test against current STEP SE (AMB, 2k - chaurus only; Skyrim Redesigned - eggs - diffuse + glow maps). This mod provides a retex of all chaurus-related textures (e.g., eggs, egg sacks, etc.), so everything 'chaurus' should be checked for improvement/consistency among these three mods.

  25. Discussion topic: Lavender by Mari SE by ArtByMari Wiki Link STEP SE Notes: Test Files: Use whatever the resolutions of the current STEP SE textures. Test against current STEP SE. Vanilla > SSEUT > Cathedral Plants > STEP (Hybrid's HD Plants) > Lavender by Mari ...Hybrid's is far better.
