  1. Interesting. I'll have to look into because as I said above, I've not tested the vampire face. In fact, I've not even touch it. It's straight from Windsong. I know I've ran into a few vampires on my journeys (not started Dawnguard questline yet) and didn't notice this, however, that was in the heat of battle.
  2. STEP actually considered including YASH at one point. It's a very promising mod. I don't recall the reason it never made it into STEP. It was quite a long time ago when it was considered.
  3. Yeah, that guide by JawZ is really old and outdated. I've added the scale parameters to SSAO and Reflections, updated the explanation about UseOriginalPostProcessing, and removed the Bloom section altogether because even JawZ said there is little improvement and to gain the performance by adjusting elsewhere in his guide. Thanks for your contributions, Aiyen! If you see anything else let me know!
  4. I have a GTX760 4Gb and I'm not seeing much reason to upgrade at the moment. With STEP:Extended + ENB @ 1980x1020 I'm staying in the 40-55 FPS range even in the most intense areas. I also have an ASUS mobo that supports Fan Xpert 2 so I never hear my rig. The apartment AC is louder and I'm right next to the tower. I might end up upgrading eventually, but it won't be until Spring, at the earliest.
  5. The guide from JawZ says this about SourceTexturesScale: "Do not set above 1.0 because of cache missing for texture reads." Is this an issue?
  6. Great and thanks! I'll incorporate this information.
  7. I added a general statement about some effects require additional files in the opening of the section: This section of the Guide is meant to be very, very basic. Sort of like, "if this effect exists, here's how to turn it off or change its quality". That's it and nothing more. I'll go into much greater detail on the advanced ENBseries INI Guide which can be viewed here: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENBseries_INI That Guide is not anywhere near ready to be reviewed though. Basically I've only set it up and made sure all the parameters are listed for each section. The text in the sections is a straight copy from the ENB Guide. We'll finish up the ENB Guide before going into any work on the ENBseries INI Guide. In fact, all I have to finish up the ENB Guide is the Addons section and for you guys to review the rest of the sections for me. Not much left, but for now lets focus on this Enbseries INI section.
  8. Before I go into editing anything, what would the file be based off of, if not Boris's default? Do ENB authors not use the base ENB files from Boris and work from there to create their presets? Or are you saying some authors may delete or edit the code in a way that wouldn't allow the UseOriginalPostProcessing parameter to function anymore? Also what is this with the scaling? Is that for the SizeScale parameter? If so, it's not included in the section for users to edit. Should it be? If so, should it replace the quality parameter or just be added as an additional parameter?
  9. Yeah, I sent a message to Brumbek a good while back, but never heard back from him. I've opened the female meshes up in 3ds Max and there are most definitely some issues that could be ironed out, especially the back of the legs which doesn't make sense to me why Beth did what they did. The front of the female mesh is smooth as silk; however, the back it horrible and there are a lot of open vertices (gaps) in the mesh. The reason this makes no sense is because while playing you rarely see the front of your character but see the back constantly. So why all the mesh issues are in the back of the mesh is a mystery. You'd thought that Beth would have ironed out the most seen part of the mesh first, but it looks like it was a rush job to finish up the back.
  10. Leito86's work is all UNP based, meaning it's not going to work for what STEP wants do to. UNP based bodies are not 100% compatible with vanilla armors, hence why authors "rework" them to fit the custom bodies.
  11. My bad! I was confusing Dumner with Dwemer. The STEP replacer as a female vampire face texture although it was gone untested by myself and others. I'm sorry, but do these sentences disturb anyone other than me??
  12. I believe you are referring to the shoes and boot meshes added my Better Males. Those are added to make them compatible with the foot mesh fix added my Better Males. No actual armors are included because the vanilla armors work perfectly fine with the options we recommend installing. As I stated earlier, I've not noticed any glaring issues the the STEP replacer from just playing the game up to level 20. There haven't been any neck or wrist seams that have popped out as noticeable during my playthrough. All of the textures are based off of Wingsong's texture (used with permission). I've just cleaned it up a ton, merged the Mature Skin texture with parts of it (with permission) along with some other edits. The mesh is 100% vanilla. The only noticeable seams are those that are present on vanilla very close up, so close users will not notice during normal gameplay. The overhaul isn't meant for screen archers, it's meant for actual use and playing; therefore, it doesn't have to be flawless up close (although the goal is for it to be eventually). With that said, I do plan on checking out the mod you linked to.
  13. Dunmer female is not a playable race in vanilla and therefore, the STEP Female Overhaul would not touch those. If you have Dunmer as a character, then you've added mod which added that race as a custom race or a mod that has renamed/copied a vanilla race. The only races that are touched by the overhaul are the vanilla humanoid races (Brenton, Dark Elf, Nord, High Elf, Imperial, and Redguard).
  14. Okay, I'm going to push this forward and assume the Enblocal INI section is good to go. If anything comes up, I'll revisit it. Next section to review is the Enbseries INI section. Keep in mind that this section is just basic editing of the effects and quality. If for some reason adjusting the quality of one of the effects provides no real benefit, please state so. There is no reason to tell users they can adjust the quality of an effect if it'll have no effect on performance.
  15. The one thing that has been stated over and over in this thread is that we won't use any body replacer that also requires reworked armor sets. The replacer must be compatible with everything vanilla without anything needed to be reworked. So far, Windsong and this replacer I've made are the only two female body replacers that I know of that actually do this. All other require some adjust to armor. Our stance on this is due to compatibility reasons. I've played through level 20 with the STEP replacer I put together and rarely have I noticed any issues with it. I'm playing a realistic setup; therefore, no one is running around half naked. Nor am I standing around staring at NPCs up close (you wouldn't do this during normal gameplay). From actually playing the game, I've not run into any noticeable issues with the STEP replacer. I know there are some mesh issues there, but when playing they're not noticeable. Granted I'm currently not playing a female character so those that are may notice something more than I have.
  16. Just be sure the ENB Preset you are using is compatible with the lighting mod you plan to use and you'll be fine.
  17. The INIs that you can delete in MO so that it'll reinitialize them are found in: ...ModOrganizerprofilesprofileName You can delete the skyrim.ini and the skyrimPrefs.ini found there. That will force MO to rebuild them from the default INIs found in ...DocumentsSkyrim
  18. If you've done a lot of INI editing, you may need to just reset them and start over with a fresh copy. Rogue INI edits and too much tweaking can throw your game into endless troubleshooting very quickly. Best to start fresh if you've done a lot of editing. First, you can copy your default INIs into MO and see if that fixes it (though if you haven't touched the default INIs they will be vanilla from when the launcher created them). The game INIs are found in: ...DocumentsMy GamesSkyrim The INIs is the only thing I can think of that would cause this. MO doesn't do anything specific to the ENB process so I seriously doubt it's MO that is the issue. Rather something with your INIs in MO.
  19. In STEP, we've added our own Meta Rules which are found on the mod pages where they are needed for those mods. There isn't a "repository" of rules or anything like that for LOOT as of yet. Just like when using BUM, users will need to create there own meta rules for LOOT to load mods in a specific order when necessary. In other words, Neo or another user that uses SR:LE would have to investigate the load order that LOOT provides for SR:LE, compare that to the load order of BOSS to make sure conflicts are resolved correctly, and then come up with the rules that are required specifically for SR:LE to achieve the correct load order for any mods not ordered properly...just as we did for STEP. This can be a big task when switching from BOSS to LOOT.
  20. Thanks Aiyen! I'm planning on contacting a few more ENB authors that I've had contact with in the past to see if they'd be willing to help out once we get to the more advanced ENBseries INI Guide. We'll probably need all the help we can get. Prod80, MTichenor, SkyrimTuner and Bronze316 are at the top of that list. If you know of anyone else that might be helpful and willing to pitch in, let me know.
  21. Make sure you're changing the ini file in MO. MO uses it's own set of INI file and not the default game ones. So open up the INI Editor in MO and change the values there as well. You also shouldn't have any INI files in the Skyrim data directory. You shouldn't have any mods in there period with MO.
  22. I've moved this out of the Support forum so it won't get lost and hopefully more users will see it. Threads tend to get lost in that forum rather quickly.
  23. I've removed some obsolete lines under [FIXES] and have added in the default values where appropriate.
  24. Added to the statement to generalize it better. This is true. In the first release, Boris hadn't removed the parameter though. I just downloaded the latest release (without version change) and it's been removed. As such, I've removed this from the page. Added to this line to better explain. Added to this explanation a warning and a link. Actually, in my testing I've found that I can turn SMAA quality down lower when EdgeAA is enabled without any visual loss. This would indicate that combining the two results in a higher quality image. Also to that end, EdgeAA alone doesn't take care of all the jaggies, but adding SMAA on top of it does, again, indicating that using them together results in a better image quality. With that said, I've generalize the statement by saying it can "possibly" provide a better image quality because results may vary and I haven't had anyone to confirm my findings.
  25. 1k seem excessive for small clutter objects. Anyone know what the vanilla resolutions are for these?
