Enbseries.ini and enblocal.ini does not apply ingame
TechAngel85 replied to WDW's question in Post-Processing Support
Third party programs shouldn't have anything to do with it unless you're running something like Radeon Pro or a game booster. I would verify that the ENB Manager is actually installing your ENB correctly though. -
Free (or Cheap) Games & Giveaways
TechAngel85 replied to EssArrBee's topic in General Game Discussion
Got it! Man, I could not imagine owning a console. Only with the PC are you able to get all these free goodies! -
Try this out: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENB#tab=ENBoost The setting you might need to set to true is, DisableDriverMemoryManager.

Enbseries.ini and enblocal.ini does not apply ingame
TechAngel85 replied to WDW's question in Post-Processing Support
Monitor resolution shouldn't have anything to do with the issue. -
You can follow the Guide and adjust the instructions and mods according to the DLCs you have or don't have; however, you will not be able to use the STEP Patches.

Enbseries.ini and enblocal.ini does not apply ingame
TechAngel85 replied to WDW's question in Post-Processing Support
You on a laptop? -
I use iBlurDeferredShadowMask set at 4. However, if using an ENB, Boris recommends setting it to 1 (see my post below), turning on UseBilateralShadowFilter and then adjusting the ENB shadows to preference. This will get you the best possible shadows (supposedly...have not tested it fully yet).
-
Finished adding compares to the Shadow section. If possible, when we find information regarding the settings in enbseries that comes directly from Boris himself, lets start referencing it as I did for "UseBilateralShadowFilter". We should make sure these references are still accurate, but coming form Boris himself, they should be.

SKYRIMLE Actual Windows - Farmhouses by (Majk360)
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Visible Windows is a texture mod so this obviously overwrites those textures. That is the only conflict of concern in STEP atm. SMIM patch is provided so that's not an issue. -

Following up on my earlier comment about the window glow at night, the author has already made a brighter version with the 1.01 release. EDIT: Quick test in game, the brighter version is a nice improvement. EDIT2: I do agree the windows need a bit less transparency in them. With the brighter version at night, they are very clear. -

I suspect over time there will be more window options. Someone has already created one alternative texture for the mod author. More will likely follow over time. -

Some questions about MO/SKSE and mods...
TechAngel85 replied to PsychoDave's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Depends on the mod. Sounds like you might really benefit from reading the MO Guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer#tab=Welcome The information you're asking for in on the "Installing Mods" tab. -

Always only clean one mod at a time. That goes for any mod. -
ELEP - Full Vanilla Customizable ENB (by JawZ)

No need for an optional version unless it's consistently asked for. I much prefer your nights than vanilla nights. They're much better! -

I think it'll work nicely for the compares. In general, you've done a very good job at obtaining your goal. There are three areas that you might want to look into if you're aim is to keep is as close to vanilla as possible: The sun. You're Procedural Sun is huge! The vanilla sun is about half the size of yours with a large sun glare. Yours is about the size the sun glare from vanilla. HUGE! lol The fog around the mountains is blue. In vanilla this fog is light to medium grey. I agree that it could use some fixing, but yours happens to be baby blue and sticks out a bit too much. It really draws the eye when it shouldn't. The nighttime brightness. You've darkened nights quite a bit and although I actually prefer this and think it's great, it's a bit far off from vanilla if that was your goal. This one was more of an observation than any type of issue. I quite prefer the darker nights and think it's more accurate than what vanilla provides; therefore, this is considered more of a fix imo. But others might disagree. -

Okay, those presets were a complete bust so I'm going to look into this for the compare shots. -

TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Okay, so one thing that I know some users will complain about is the nighttime glow. This mod greatly reduces that glow! ENB uses can most likely compensate with the Window Light settings, but this will effect all windows, not just farmhouses so be careful when doing that. I think the reduced glow is more realistic; however, do agree that it might be reduced just a bit too much. This is something the author could improve upon. EDIT: The author has made a brighter version with the 1.01 release. -

Okay, I've played with these in-game for a bit and I have to say they are awesome! The windows are still nice and dirty like you'd expect them to be but instead of seeing just a cloudy window that you can't see through, you can actually see some of the interior. I haven't completely tested them in all lighting, but I suspect this is going to be once of my "must have" mods from now on! -

TechAngel85 replied to PsychoDave's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Also, where you see "detailed instructions" in the Guide, you should be clicking it to know how to install the mod with STEP. This will take you to the mod's page with the detailed instructions on how to set up the mod. Like for Fuz Ro D-oh: https://wiki.step-project.com/Fuz_Ro_D-oh#Recommendations -

But you can still install it with MO using the first icon on the menu bar. Nothing should be install directly to the Data folder....not a single mod! Install everything with MO. -

What do you mean "manual install"? You put in in the Data folder? You should have installed all those mods via MO. -
Some questions about MO/SKSE and mods...
TechAngel85 replied to PsychoDave's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Just drag that SKSE folder to the Fuz Ro D'oh mod. It creates that INI if the user doesn't already have it set up. Those mods should be in the left pane so reinstall them. Make sure you're not overwriting any other mods during the install. Some mods might need to have their names changed to a proper name so they don't overwrite other mods. This is simply because of how the mod author has the mod archived or has the archived named. Yes, that is correct. non-MO just means it wasn't installed with MO and already existed in the Data folder. Just active them. You'll get a sweeper icon next the .ESPs in the right pane. That means you can click on the archives tab, check the .BSAs for the Hi-Res DLCs, and then deactivate the .ESPs to save some ESP slots. -

Well, before I use this, I'm actually going to try the other presets in the enbeffect.fx file beside #2 or whatever it's set to. I'll see if that clears up the grayish haze that is the result of the processing. -
