  1. Done with every vanilla casino but the Ultra Luxe. Want to add some gamblers to V&V too, but might hold that for a later update.
  2. Hey, Van. I've missed you. Haven't had much time to update the guide, but my weapons pack has been updated a few times. There's also popped up some interesting new mods on the Nexus (most being mentioned in this thread) and I'm waiting for The New Vegas Reborn Project to be updated before adding it to the guide (author said he will make an update including some changes I made). The encounter module should provide some more interesting situations for people to run into.
  3. I can't provide proper support for RWLE since I still use Nevada Skies (EssArrBee made the change to RWLE in the guide). I would recommend heading over to the Nexus page for the mod and asking for help there.
  4. You're welcome. It says "Untick all the mods that were merged from the list above.", that means the same as deleting it when you launch the game (MO won't add it to the virtual directory). Will add it to the FAQ.
  5. https://wiki.step-project.com/User:EssArrBee/Fear_and_Loathing_MCM_Settings
  6. Will be changed to the new version when I get home from work. Will be changed to "New Vegas Type 3 Armor Pack Complete V2_1" when I get home from work. Odd, maybe I updated the version number and forgot to check for ITMs. Will look into it. The merges sometimes behave dfferently, not sure why, and hence the script adds different tags than in the guide. Adding it manually won't hurt either way, but I'm probably removing the checklist from the guide soon. Same as the above.
  7. Yeah, and the cashout changing mod (Casino - No Legion Aureus for cashing out) might conflict with the cashout mod already in F&L.
  8. If I hypothetically found the time to go through that mod and found a few things I did not think should be added to F&L, would it be possible to collaborate on a version specifically for the guide. Mind you, I have not gone through it yet, so this might not even be an issue. If it's not all that time consuming, I might even do it myself, given permission.
  9. Wild Wasteland is in the same vein as the old Fallout easter eggs, fun references that make for a whacko experience, but made optional because some people don't really like that (which is fine). You'll have to figure out for yourself, it does a pretty good job of letting you know when it's just an easter egg and not some serious part of the experience though (through the small message in the top left corner). Lots of Doctor Who references. Not really any "better skills" IMO, thinking that way takes a way from a large part of the experience, which is having to make sacrifices in some regards to gain advantages in others.Charisma is also tied to something called Companion Nerve, which modifies how good your companions are, so if you're playing in hardcore mode (companions are not essential) with 1 Charisma I would expect your friends to die quickly. More Perks also make the weaker attributes better because there's more perks tied to their levels. You will never be screwed because you have too little of an attribute, you just need to improvise. There's always the perk for raising attributes. Agility is obviously important for stealth characters using ballistic weaponry. They (the attributes) all have pretty good descriptions IMO.Follow the main quest to Vegas, doing all the quests you find along the way, unless they are horribly boring of course, then you can go wherever you want. For DLC order check out my FAQ thread. Best tip I can think of is making sure you've gone through your MCM menus properly. Also, trying to get some good routines around ammo crafting can come in handy. Especially if you use one of the weapon packs since they clutter the shopkeeper inventories a lot (something I've tried to combat in my pack to some extent, but it's still a WIP).
  10. The Medium Camo Backpack is from Spice of Life, I think. Will take a look at it tomorrow.
  11. I will probably be able to fire up my game and take a picture in the morning, mostly default with a few personal tweaks though.
  12. I've actually never been a huge fan of the Beyond Boulder Dome mod, it was noble in its intentions, but the whole design of it kinda struck me as odd (in particular the very convoluted map, like you said). I eventually just went back on an earlier save on that characters. Sadly I haven't gotten around to touching the quest section of F&L as that is a big bunch of things to play through and evaluate (I even forgot about DEIMOS on my last playthrough so I've never touched that). The thing with a lot of these quest interiors is that they've probably not been designed with realistic lighting in mind like ILO, which makes them a bit worse when you start pulling out the heavier shaders and so on. Nightvision equipment is highly recommended from me, and with darthbdaman's work on the Advanced Recon Patches most of them have AR's vision modes which allow you to swap colors and intensity. You can find some in the HELIOS One Tower, IIRC.
  13. Try setting it as some other key and see if the game registers it. Perhaps "Mouse Down" already serves some other function in the engine. I only use the two side-buttons on my mouse myself, one for activating iHUD and one for the companion menu (JIP C&C).
  14. Right-Click to show and hide works perfectly fine for me, but it requires iHud to be active (i.e. the "i" button to have been pressed already) IIRC.
  15. Must be some leftover setting Boris forgot to set in the the config or something. If you open up the ENB control panel and disable effects does that change anything? ENB AA might still work. If you want to switch to regular config you can head on over to the screenshots thread and checkout darkside's pictures for Lucent ENB which works pretty well with RWLE.
  16. Me and Grant were referring to the phrasing of the original sentence, not the sentiment that you don't like it, which is of course fine. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan either, but I liked KotOR 2 a lot, which explored a lot of the things that didn't really make sense about the Star Wars franchise in a mature way. Which is also something I like about FNV, which I feel I have to mention because there's been a lot of the why not's in a row now; the fact that they explore adult themes through consistently good writing. Also, I like to ask questions of the world I am playing in, and a game that so often has an explanation prepared whenever I scratch below the surface was instantly memorable. For example - how does bottlecaps work as a currency? Water merchants back it! There's also the fact that it's not afraid to let your decisions (of which there are very many) impact the world. Want to kill everyone in the game? Technically you can (with the exception of a robot who keeps switching his consciousness over to other robots)! I love the Elder Scrolls, but I must admit I feel more inclined to pick up Oblivion or Morrowind again because of the fairly generic nature of the newer writing. Something which mods, for however much I love them cannot wholly address for me. Dragons bore me, at least the ones without the intelligence and cunning of their brethren from The Silmarillion, and Emil (Bethesda's lead writer) hardly seems interested in exploring the deeper waters of the franchise. Hell, Oblivion had a fairly generic main quest, but the side quests were so varied and interesting, lending it much more depth than Skyrim in my very humble opinion. There, you've somehow dragged my defence out of me. Hope it doesn't seem too wrong. I'm off to mainland Europe now, so see you in a week.
  17. Not looking to convert you, which was why I was asking if it wasn't intended to come across as something negative. Wanna know what I don't like? HP printer drivers, those things give me a headache.
  18. Sorry if this has been brought up before, but since I'm basically waiting for the bus I was snooping around on the C&PD page and noticed the 20th Century Weapons link was broken. I reroutes me to Escapist Magazine's homepage. Thought you should know if you hadn't noticed.
  19. Either, not both. LOD patches no matter what. I changed it. No, the instructions are correct. The patch has already been supplied from NVInterior Rewritten (i.e. me), which you should have noticed. I'm off on holiday now, so no more support from me for a while. Will read anything you've written once I get back though.
  20. I tried helping you solve that bug, but you gave up when my first suggestion didn't work out.
  21. Yes, enable them all. The easiest way to do it is just enable all .bsas; and when making the Bashed Patch, enable all plugins before creating it, then let Wrye Flash disable everything it suggests disabling. Afterwards re-enable the two plugins tagged nomerge (they will be in purple writing in Wrye Flash). You are correct. I will change that immediately. Will change this too. I believe EssArrBee intended to expand on that section, outside of my expertise I am afraid. Only try experimenting with different settings if you have performance or stability issues (e.g. frequent crashes). Otherwise it is fine to leave it at default settings.
  22. I've added Mojave Music Radio Extended to the guide. I've recommended the 60 song plugin as that's the one I have been playing with and I really like the "The Lonesome Road" by Gene Austin (which is also really appropriate given the last DLC). WMX's Modern Weapons plugin was removed, I have been intending to do that for a while. Now is also a good time to point out that I will be going away for a week and unable to provide support, or changes to the guide when I am abroad. When I come back I intend to add New Vegas Reborn Project to the guide, at least in the form of the "NVR Item Sorter" module and the "NVR Mojave Encounters" module. Undecided on the main module yet as it provides some additional tweaking, but overall does a lot of the same as Project Nevada (which overrides it). I will probably be working on an MCM settings page of my own to provide an alternative to EssArrBee's in lieu of that, with an emphasis on challenging game play. Cheers. Have a great summer, play some FNV and complain about stuff so that I get new ideas. :: EDIT: I've modified the NVR Core plugin to include an MCM option for adding its Armor Repair Kits to appropriate leveled lists. It would potentially make the Armour Repair Kits mod superfluous. I've PMed the author about permission to upload it.
  23. Yes, that is a difficult sentence. Perhaps the whole "not the data folder" part can be removed? For clarity - yes, extract everything from the archive. EDIT: I've updated the version number to 17.5.
  24. Unintentionally harsh?
  25. Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition is 40% off in the Steam Summer Sale. Grab it, install this, and have fun.
