  1. Try redoing the INIs in MO. Or deleting the INIs in the documents folder and running from Steam one more time.
  2. Already added it to my plugin. I also detected an error in my script that kept it from running properly, so I'll be uploading a new version with both those issues taken care of. EDIT: Done.
  3. They're just statics (non-movable objects) that aren't used in the game. I could remove them and make statics with the new model, but nobody is gonna use those statics anyhow. I'll remove the records in the next plugin, but I don't think it warrants and update on its own (not an issue that will affect the game in any way).
  4. Or the game's brightness settings. Some places have better lights, but there's always flashlights. Wouldn't be much more life irl with just a lantern like that. Use your pipboy light. :)
  5. That's the way ILO is set up. Some light switches don't work, because you're in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
  6. This is what happens when you get that issue: I've removed a record from PN's Equipment Module. Another mod tries referring to that record, either by placing it in a list, or in a container, or on an NPC and so on. The game loads but doesn't give you controls. Here's what you do to find out what mods cause this issue: Open up all plugins that have Project Nevada - Equipment.esm as a master in xEdit. Go through their formlists and look for in any of them. Usually this is the culprit. Right-click them and remove them. Go through all the leveled lists and NPC inventories if the problem persists. Right-click them and remove them. Repeat if the problem persists, either with another plugin or looking if you've missed something. If you have plenty of plugins, just try to disable them one by one and load the game, and you will see which one is to blame. Alternatively you can just do step four and report the plugin to me, but I might not be able to fix it at once. The only available previous link is always just the one with the (old) postfix, it's there in case I screw up when updating the links. EDIT: Updated the Project Nevada plugin to use the correct script, let me know if I missed any other issues you brought up.
  7. Nope, you need the GECK + the GECK PowerUp, which works as an NVSE plugin and lets you save scripts with NVSE commands.
  8. I would ask in the xEdit subforum here. Maybe Mator or Zilav would know.
  9. ListAddForm doesn't work for leveled lists. If you want to make leveled lists with NVSE commands you need Lutana. There's actually no perfect solution to scripted lists. NVSE commands need to be redone every time you start the game, as they only add to the memory. This also means you have to reset inventories, so setting inventory reset time in PN becomes almost trivial. Regular commands can cause bloat and crashing if you later remove the mod, but don't require inventory resets or scripts running multiple times. The new NVSE co-save marks the leveled list as permanent for all NVSE commands, meaning that if you do it to a vanilla list, and some other mod hasn't been updated, it would add an additional entry every time you started the game. The best solution would actually be if everybody used a Bashed Patch, as that would solve conflicts and let people avoid scripts that could impact your game. That's never going to happen though, and since I use CaliberX, which resets all shop inventories anyhow, I have decided to change all of WotNM's scripts to use NVSE commands. It's not as simple as just replacing though, it never is with me. I get caught up changing the way it's implemented, tweaking the balance and so forth. So a new update is in the works, it's just taking a while.
  10. Your change works fine (it is the correct way of doing it).

He hardly acknowledged his fault with the "locker room talk" (which is rather vulgar banter, encouraging viewpoint that are not fit for someone who intends to lead a country). Unless you mean constantly repeating the mantra of "I have great respect for women" and "Women know I have great respect for them", despite both things being proved blatantly false time and time again. I also saw him spend one minute and forty-five seconds of a two minute answer to the question "do you understand that what you were describing is sexual assault" by talking about ISIS. Talk about a cheap red herring! As I recall it, the only person saying "I made a mistake" in any of those debates was Hilary Clinton discussing her email scandal. Which, I know, wasn't all of what people considered her mistakes, but then again, when did Trump really address all of his mistakes? When did he release his tax returns? Isn't that a direct parallell to Hilary Clinton being derided for not releasing what she said in her speeches? TehKaoZ and Gyro managed to summarize most of my other feeling around the subject, I just particularly reacted at that description. (I still have great respect for you, Tech, please don't take it as a signal of anything else than that )
  12. You've accidentally hit backspace somewhere in the script. Redownload the script and install it over the old one.
  13. Feel free to edit the guide. I'm a bit swamped as I recently joined the Frontier team. There's also my super secret Wasteland Edition, that was intended to be fleshed out more with Audley. We're both a bit busy right now though, so I don't know where that stands. It lacks some things like a new description and so on, but I also made a few updates.
  14. Merge stuff that aren't quest mods, don't have voice files, aren't masters for other mods and so on. The plugin limit is mentioned at the top of the guide.
  15. Make sure Archive Invalidation is ticked under profiles, and that the archive invalidation bsa is sorted first under the archives tab.

Not sure whether that is serious or not, DoubleYou, but a valid point to make either way would probably be that how old you think the earth is should have very little to say in determining your political acumen. @TehKaoZ: I don't think those two factors are enough to correctly assess the whole situation, and part of the reason for why the result was so shocking is perhaps that so much of the predictions were based on those two being the defining factors in this decision. It was clearly not, and if I remember correctly, the GOP side didn't actually garner much more votes than under Romney or McCain, but the DP side failed miserably compared with previous years. Meaning that this is more than anything a failing on the side of the DP, and less a success on the side of a campaign that did everything one would normally consider unwise (such as somehow managing to insult most minorities). Assuming the other side of the spectrum is xenophobic and privileged, will not really help us get anywhere. They are a factor, after all, hate crimes spiked in the UK post-Brexit, but I wouldn't say they're the defining factor. That seems a pointless generalization which leaves little room for some much needed introspection from the opposing candidate's political backers. Sparrowprince actually makes a very good point, although I would argue their solution to this disappointment is ridiculous, that does seem to be the general sentiment espoused by a lot of these voters. @TechAngel85: I don't think he's an idiot, but I strongly disagree that he's a brilliant business man. See some of the examples I listed previously. To me, this seems like the idea of him he's been selling to everyone since basically his first steps into the public eye. Just look at his speech patterns. How many times does he repeat that he is a great business man as opposed to actually showing real numbers on things, or offering up real solutions to queries? This man is an expert at selling an image he's been touting for so long he believes in it himself. Look at how he responded when he was asked about his leaked tapes: "I have the great respect for women. Women know I have great respect for them." He's 1: ascribing personality attributes to himself instead of acting in a way that would make others ascribe it to him, and 2: telling people what opinions other people have of him, not letting these opinions speak for themselves. The same act was repeated over and over throughout a long campaign. My personal favorite is "I know words, I have the best words." Again he's saying he is something, not showing he is something. This sentence is particularly amusing because none of the words he used in that or in the following sentence was anywhere close to being eloquent. EDIT: Posted at the same time as your last comment. That is very true.
  17. Placeholder for updates I should have released:

I cab agree with most of that, except for the part where he has a good portfolio. It is, at best, a very mixed one, with numerous projects that are borderline fraud (Trump University, bankruptcies that seemed to harm everyone but him) as well as some very dubious business decisions (Trump Steaks + Trump Shuttle + the whole calculation of what he would have made in a regular market fund). In fact, the only reason I call it mixed is to give him the benefit of a doubt I am very uncertain about giving.
  19. I'll fix that when I get home. The requirement is there because I changed the vendortron from WotNM to include his additional weapons.

@GrantSP: The effects of Brexit has not yet dissipated. The pound is very low in value compared to our currency, and our economy hasn't exactly been going very well. It was 13 NOK to 1 GBP before the decision, it is now at 10.28 NOK to 1 GBP. @Greg: I found this video very interesting, would you say it's somewhat accurate about the nature of your voting system? In my country parties can go together to form governments after the general election, so if I vote for a smaller party it will be equally as contributing in keeping the party I like the least from getting to form a government. @Zorkha: I usually refrain from saying things like "your president" and "you elected". There are very many Americans, and as you said, some might not feel at home within that category. I am a bit scared of Trump. Not because I think he will hurt me or anyone in my country much, but because I think he will champion a system (free market capitalism with cuts in social policies) that I see as hurting the ones who already are the most in need of help, as well as increasing economic inequality. Something both I and the IMF (which is a pro-capitalist organization if there is one) agree is a bad thing. EDIT: Linked the wrong video, whoops.
  21. Just remove the error entries from the leveled lists and formlists in FNVEdit. You cant disable any record, just something placed in the game world. If I left them in you would either have to redo the patch anyway or have the weapons I removed from leveled lists show up in DC, and be kinda overpowered.

It's sad, but how would one move away from it? I don't have a solution for it either. To be frank, I have issues discussing politics with people in my own country because there's just a huge gap in values between people. I find it hard to even approach a topic with someone who votes for our far-right party, FRP, because they seem convinced that everyone else is being made a fool of by the left. They live in their own bubble, where they want to throw out smaller parties (which apparently ruins FRP's chances of getting their politics through) and scoff at environmental change. The general consensus amongst them seems to be that the press has a leftist-bias, and that social policies are about enabling people to sit on their ass and get paid by the people who actually work (something we are too naive to see). We live in our bubble, where we feel they are shortsighted and irresponsible, especially in regards to climate change and the less fortunate in society. Maybe they are not, but it's almost impossible to find out. How do you have a debate with someone when they think everything you say is based on a lie you've been fed by the media? I have friends that vote for right-wing parties because they want less taxes, not caring about the long term effects on the economy, or healthcare they currently don't use. But the strangest thing is that when a new issue comes up, they always side with the side they voted for, even though their vote was not cast in that direction for that reason at all. I try to discuss things like these, but the general response is that politics is a waste of time. Some even seem to think it's ridiculous to care about it when we have it as well as we do, which I find rather strange, since there are a lot of people that aren't as well off (either here or elsewhere) and part of the point is also to make sure this state of being doesn't change. I'm generally at a loss as to how one would learn or even accrue interest for these things, as debates mostly get written of as something that has to be hostile (which it does not – we have very civilized discussions here about a variety of topics). I sometimes feel as if we live in a fantasy land over here, and every few years when people look up from their own thing to think about voting, they latch onto some extremely generalized idea of how things should be. "This party was in government for X years and achieved virtually nothing". "This party only deceives their voters". I myself have stopped voting on a case-to-case basis. I find the landscape changes too much over four years. It has become much more important to me to vote for someone I know will approach a new case with the same set of values and ideals as I have. This is also what I find interesting to discuss, which is perhaps why I often return to philosophy when debating things. That is a digression though. Couldn't agree more, and that is definitely an interesting topic. I will check out some of his documentaries. I do feel the need to point out that Karl Marx actually theorized about this phenomenon. I know his name often leads to negative associations – which are mostly undeserved, seeing as his theories are actually not ideological, but rather a collection of theories about how society, economics and politics work – but he did offer some interesting insight on a few fronts. He didn't really coin the term himself, but most theoreticians later referred to it as false consciousness. Basically, he wanted to know how workers could vote for a system that didn't benefit them much. What he came up with was the idea that they aren't unconscious, but rather they have a consciousness of how the world works which based on false presumptions. e.g. why would lower class citizens find tax cuts for the rich an appealing policy? Here the answer is simply that they have been convinced it will benefit them somehow, usually through the increase of jobs. They understand what the policy is, and who it affects, but they also think this in turn ends up benefiting them. Now, I won't go around saying what is false consciousness and what is not, because I don't presume to have the ability to determine that on my own. I might even be under the effects of it myself. I do, however, think it is a very interesting phenomenon (which in some ways can be said to find backing in psychology and the idea of selective perception).

What I'm saying is just that it seems like a very poor solution to the problem of the "status quo". Theoretically you might get off your job because you shot yourself in the foot with a shotgun, but people don't do that because it is a very stupid solution, even if it's hard finding new employment. This strange idea that someone completely uninitiated who can't even answer on the exact details of his own policies (beyond catchphrase: "nobody can fix it but me") should be considered a better candidate than anyone else just doesn't make sense to me. If you needed a new player for your losing sports team, you wouldn't pick someone who has never played the sport before just because your previous picks didn't work out. Anyways, I don't think it's ignorance that you didn't get the parable, so no need to excuse that. Can't remember what happened last time to be honest. Good night.
