Awesomeness. I'm on it as soon as I'll get back home. Which SkyRe modules are you using? I wanted to use ASIS Encounter Zones instead of SkyRe ones. They come in separate stand alone ESP for ASIS, and there is no need to run ASIS SkyProc patcher, so should be compatible as long as you don't install SkyRe Enc. Zones. The patches that you mentioned - are they available for download anywhere? Also, with full STEP 2.2.1 install, I was getting guaranteed CTD at Valtheim Towers, most often when initiating combat with bandits, sometimes though outside of combat too. Did you experience this by a chance? If not, would you be so kind and quickly test on a new character (coc valtheimkeepexterior01 then run to the bandit that demands "toll" and attack)? I would greatly appreciate. Many thanks for your reply, I've spend nearly full week fighting with STEP+SkyRe setup and I cannot get it to work no matter what! :@

Looking To Upgrade GFX Card, Any Thoughts?
rootsrat replied to Jnipz's question in General Skyrim LE Support
4GB is an overkill IMHO. Check this ranking. It's in Polish, but these guys are REALLY good with testing PC components - their rankings never let me down. It's listed from the best to worst. Asus GTX 680 DirectCU II TOP 2048MB GDDR5 is on 2nd place here - I have 660 version, and it's a KILLER, definitelly can recommed 680, blind. -
What make is your card? I can honestly recommend Gigabyte's Windforce series and Asus' DirectCU II series nVidia cards. These cards are excellent value (price vs performance ratio) and the both cooling systems are absolute winners, in both performance and volume they run at. I've had Gigabyte's GTX580 Windforce Super Overclocked edition, which I then swapped for Asus GTX 660 DirectCU II TOP (only because the latter has more VRAM). Both are excellent cards and even when they are on full speed, you can barely hear them! Bearing in mind that Windforce system uses 3 fans and DirectCU II has 2 fans, it's amazing.

95*C is WAY too high (considering that 100*C is a boiling temperature ;) ). I prefer take my PC apart and precisely clean individual components separately, hoovering dust from all the grills and cleaning all the fans (the only thing I never remove is my CPU fan) and then putting it all back together. However: 1) I haven't got a patio and 2) I'm a bit of a freak :P I presume your way works too, just ensure that all the parts are sitting firmly in their motherboard slots before turning your PC back on.

Aobove suggest that your GPU is heating up or maybe even overheating. Use a monitor tool (free GPU-Z application has such monitor for example) to see what temperature is your GPU heating up to. When was the last time you cleaned your PC inside? I'm serious - this can help A LOT when it comes to overheating components. Open your case and get that dust out! Best would be to take the components out of the box and clean them properly. It does make a huge difference.

So how these would conflict? Any details? The only reference to soul gems in SkyRe's page is a new power for Wood Elves: But that's only a crafting recipe, right?

n the left pane the 1st box should be unticked. In the Tweak Settings you can choose what tweaks you want to apply by ticking the relevant boxes and adjusting the values. These tweaks will be then implemented in the bashed patch. I am not sure if ALL of them work, but as far as I'm aware arrow speed and timescale work fine. Personally I prefer to use mods to adjust settings like these, but there is nothing wrong with using WB tweaks I guess.

Expand those abbreviations please :)

Ars Metallica from STEP is the obvious colliding mod due to the crafting changes it makes, but that's the only one I could think of.

In fact, has anyone been using STEP 2.2.1 and full SkyRe set up? Or can anyone confirm which mods from STEP 2.2.1 would be incompatible with SkyRe? I am having problems running these together, but I'm bored with vanilla perks and SkyRe is the only perk overhaul that I like really...

Discussion thread: Better Male Feet by MagicNakor Wiki Link This was just uploaded to Nexus. It makes quite an obvious STEP candidate, it's a mesh replacement for male feet with XCE's texture on it. As usual - I'm browising mods while at work (:D) so unable to test...
-
I see this mod has [TESTING] tag. Please see the WilliamImm's post above, he's created a better version and that one should be tested really, not this mod.
-
::EDIT:: The original post below (now in spoiler tag) is totally irrelevant, not the case at all - please ignore it! I only leave it here for thread consistency purposes. Now, I change my question: Has anyone ever tried STEP and SkyRe? Can anyone confirm which STEP mods would be incompatible with this overhaul?

Hello. I'm new and I really do need some guidance
rootsrat replied to Kontankarite's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Freezing when turning around and your reading from SPM (what's spm anyway?) Suggest that you're running out of VRAM. Download lower resolution texture packs (1k mostly, try 2moro also) and use those. For interiors you are ok to use higher res, but exterior textures are a killer, at least for me. I have Asus nvidia 660gtx with 2GB vram. Turn off DoF in your enb and use gopher's mod that offers very good dof with basically no performance loss. It works for me, hopefully will work for you also Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2 -
Or maybe before you start with clean skyrim install, reinstall the mod and start a new char and see how that works?
-
Hmmm... It works fine for me. I can't think of any solution unfortunately, sorry! Maybe something with load order? But if you have only STEP installed... Try clean Skyrim install with LO only maybe and see what happens, then add mods 1 by 1, maybe it's interfering with some other mod?
-
More details please... Any errors, CTD, what how and when? ;)

https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/32106/ Fresh, just uploaded to Nexus couple of minutes ago. Looks promising. I'm at work, so cannot test, but looking at s/shots it looks nice!
