Cannot open .ini editor in latest MO version!
Simondererste replied to moozilbee's question in Mod Organizer Support
Gruml :: It's one of the most common resolutions(or was ). You 16:9 scumbags! It is 16:10! grrrr Good i have both . Another thing: Anyone knows if i should make a bug report or a pn if i find a small "bug"? It's just that the Configurator plugin is missing f3PBoltTiltUpAngle option under the Combat section(at least it did until i edited it with the ini editor)? -
Skyrim Performance Monitor (by mnelson999)
Simondererste replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Other Utilities
I'm trying to fix my macro stutters at the moment. To test my VRAM, as this is the main cause of stutters(is this right?), i used Skyrim Performance Monitor(reinstalled to get the new version 3.66). With both versions no ingame data was shown even though it is enabled by default in the Setup of SPM. I launch MO through SPM and then start a SETP:Core+(most or all of core + some extended + some with higher quality) installation. I work with two monitors. Playing Skyrim on the main and seeing the data of SPM on the other. So SPM records the data but it doesn't show something ingame. Now my main concern is that SPM isn't showing me accurate/correct data about my VRAM usage. Can it be that SPM isn't working with STEP/my graphics card gtx780? My VRAM is constantly under 2gb but i get heavy fps drops when i turn around(showed by FRAPS + stuttering). Hm. newest GPU z is showing nearly the same values, so i guess SPM is doing alright. -
Recently the twitch Streamer DansGaming: His streaming side modded his Skyrim and published this mod list with some commentary by him here: DansGaming's ModList on GoogleDocks Maybe someone will find this inspiring and/or helpful. I think he couldn't fix some stuttering issues while turning, but his Skyrim really was modded heavily. (At the end he used 2 gtx780 so his setup is ridiculous)

Mod Organizer warning for left pane

"If someone suggested you ignore this message, please give them a proper slapping from me. Do not ignore this warning" Good no one said we should ignore it, so i don't have to slap anyone. -

Handless isn't vanilla or? But does the mods look fit better to the skyrim lore? -
ACCEPTED White Phial Replacer (by Saerileth)
Simondererste replied to phryxolydian's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
So STEP is going away from vanilla look as long as the other look is better fitting with the lore? If STEP wants to stay to the vanilla look it shouldn't consider this as core mod but it looks awesome for extended. -
Will have a look on your work later this week.

After mistakenly starting TES5Edit through MO and selecting none and exiting TES5Edit without doing anything it disappeared. But i still would liked it more if i could have a bit more control over it.

I have a "false" warning in MO and i would like to remove it, so i will recognize future warnings more easily(grey -> colored instead of just 1->2 warnings). My warning is: "There was an error recently reported" And it came from starting SPM through MO but then closing it after realizing i had it set up the other way around(SPM->MO->skse_loader.exe). So where/how can i delete this warning?

DROPPED Main Font Replacement (by Valistar)
Simondererste replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Ok i think äöü my cause problems(which does it also in MO, which is unacceptable for me, because there are ways to handle it nowadays*grrr* ;) ). But i hope my picture may be usefull for comparison. -
ACCEPTED Main Menu Spinning Skyrim Emblem (by Brumbek)
Simondererste replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Nice extra mod=> Will be removed from the STEP:core guide in 2.3 i guess(it's already no core mod). I would recommend the very slow version/16sec for one turn. Fits nicely to the music. -
DROPPED Main Font Replacement (by Valistar)
Simondererste replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I prefer Fertigo. Maybe we can fix the small font problem. Here is also a comparision between Vanilla and Fertigo, because i couldn't find any comparison to vanilla: And doesn't it also shows that "Notice:Non-English versions of the game cannot use these font replacements." is wrong?! -
So as i don't really have any mods installed, this can't be my problem. I'm 100% sure it comes from my high fps(so check your fps if you are having those glitches!), because enabling vsync resolves the problem. Now what happened to me. I didn't want to have vsync enabled, so i had to stumble across those physic glitches(physics is related to fps in Skyrim!). After discovering it has to do with my FPS, i tried to enabling vsync: (No settings with nvidia inspector) ENBoost NOT installed and iPresentInterval = 0 in skyrimprefs.ini => max 60FPS => vsync is enabled!(ignores the setting) ENBoost NOT installed and iPresentInterval = 1 in skyrimprefs.ini => max 60FPS => vsync is enabled! => vsync is always enabled even if i set it to false in the skyrimprefs.ini(Anyone else can confirm that?) ENBosst installed(+No settings with nvidia inspector): 1)iPresentInterval = 0 EnableVSync=false => FPS > 80 => vsync disabled. Looks ok. 2)iPresentInterval = 1 EnableVSync=false => FPS > 80 => vsync disabled. ENBoost forces the settings from the ENB over the settings from Skyrim. Sounds logical. 3)iPresentInterval = 0 EnableVSync=true => FPS > 80 => vsync disabled. ??? Enblocal.ini settings aren't adopted? I put them in <Skyrim>/ directory, but is this really the right place? 4)iPresentInterval = 1 EnableVSync=true => FPS > 80 => vsync disabled. Enblocal.ini settings aren't adopted and settings from the ENB are taken over the settings from Skyrim. Logic after 3) 5)Shift+enter and set fps limiter in ENB settings window ingame. => Max FPS = FPS specified with FPS limit. => ENB ingame settings are working. 6)Set vsync in nvidia settings => max FPS=60 Nvidias vsync works => vsync is only disabled if i use ENBoost, but the setting in enblocal.ini aren't used.PS enblocal.ini was saved before starting Skyrim through MO. Skyrimprefs.ini where saved inside of MO without restarting MO before starting Skyrim through MO. I used the skse_loader.exe with MO to start Skyrim. So now i know how i can fix the physic glitches but i still don't know why EnableVSync=true in enblocal.ini isn't working.<- my problem i need to fix; Who can help me with that?

Having the same warning with German language. As i have guessed it's a minor thing, but it's still a warning. -
Rofl Rofl. 80-100fps at the starting scene was ok, but as soon as i look around(especial behind/down me on the cart) i get 120-190 fps while it glitches around at the same time. Very funny ;PI tried setting EnableVSync=true => didn't helped, just get worse.Setting iPresentInterval = 1 => didn't worked too.Must be something with my settings(should be the same for the thread starter). If i delete the enboost files(3+what it adds after started ocne),I'm fine, even with iPresentInterval = 0.Don't know if my nvidia inspector is messing something up, but it's not too critical. If i get enough mods fps will drop or as long as i hold the camera still i can get to helgen without probs.

Following STEP - TES5EDIT cleaning > Overwrite
Simondererste replied to NewYears1978's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I startet with a "clean" Skyrim installation which already had the dlc's installed. So maybe a short remark that you work with DLC's later in the guide [but can be already installed]. Or just a mark that cleaning of other esm's is mentioned later in the guide. This would resolve my first confusion with 2.B section. The second uncertainty for me (and the thread starter), was that you are told to do 2 backups of update.esm and you don't know why. First you do it on your own outside of MO(1.) and then you should save the backup from TES5Edit inside a MO-mod(backup created "inside" of MO). On top of that you may only get an empty TES5Edit Backup folder inside of the overwrite mod. As i have understood the TES5Edit backup is just the original file, so the one you already have from step 1. At the end i have the original file inside of Skyrim(so still vanilla) and i have a backup in the tes5edit backup mod i created. If you want to make sure everyone has the TES5Edit backup add: At the prompt, make sure Update.esm AND backup plugins is checked and click OK. If TES5Edit backup is redundant(you will have the vanilla esm in Skyrim/data after step 5.), just get rid of section 3.( maybe remark, that you can uncheck backup plugins in the step before 3.), and say that you can delete the empty TES5Edit folder in overwrite(to prevent MO warning). Some other additional inputs from me: Imo this is clearer/safer: The Cleaned Update ESM mod should be set to priority 0 in placed at the top of Mod Organizer's left pane. STEP does not recommend downloading the Skyrim Nexus version of ENBoost due to incorrect settings for STEP. Then why not link to Boris' side? How it is at the moment it may get endorsed on nexus but installed wrong. Better put the nexus link (hidden) in the install instruction instead of how it is now(boris side hidden in instructions). STEP guide is a big help for me, but i'm not yet satisfied. I think everyone should be able to follow this one guide(with [as little as possible] links to more detailed guides) and get a well modded Skyrim as fast as possible. After 2-3 attempts of modding Skyrim i will now get a STEP running(with my tweaks to it). While i do this, i try to constantly give feedback to things i may stumble across. 2.Edit: As in Skyrim FPS and physics are linked, you will get wired physics behavior if your FPS gets too high. Solution: V-Sync on or FPS limit. Edit: Found a thread which seems to have the same issue: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/5524-fallingflipping-cart-and-lockups-during-opening-ride-to-helgen-help/ May i open another thread for getting a wired result(bug?!) from enboost? If i look around(with mouse), especially down, the carts start to hop around and the horse freaks out. Started from a clean vanilla with the dlcs and followed the step guide(but only the necessary changes for the ini). If i start after installing the enboost i get this behavior. -

only " i could find in all my profiles where: sD3DDevice = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780"(skyrimprefs.ini) and SGeneralMasterMismatchWarning = ..."Warnings.txt"... (skyrim.ini) and those are also in the vanilla inis i might not fix it because i don't want to care about it at the moment. i can edit inis without problems.
