  1. I find the section HRDLC a bit unclear and vague. I'm not sure if i can just go over it and "ignore" it or if i should use it and how. Alternative performance/quality texture optionsConversion of the DLC BSAs to loose files (improving access times)Automated elimination of redundancies (using batch files)Unofficial High Resolution Patch (UHRP) (see Box 1)Is the order here important and where can i find alternative performance/quality texture options? How do i convert bsa to loose files/eliminate redundancies? It's clear that i can use those things in the box but don't have to and that they should be done before UHRP but do i need UHRP and where can i find it(links)? The box 1 could maybe have a name Box 1 somewhere to it, beside it is somewhat clear which box is meant. For my vram: VRAM 1.5GB and over: skip HRDLC Optimized and load the full official HRDLC, according to the Baseline (if VRAM<2Gb) or Extreme STEP instructions. is fitting but i don't know where what those Baseline (if VRAM<2Gb) or Extreme STEP instructions really are because i technically just started reading with this chapter. Also i get a guide to INI tweaks once here: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_Installation which leads me to here: https://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-tweak-guide#15 and later in the "Main" STEP guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.8 I may be able to figure most things out myself but i just try to clarify which things can confuse users of the guide. Hope you can take my "input" and improve the guides. Keep the good work up!
  2. I probably have no clue about the lightning but what i could see in the pictures i liked the ELFX more because for me it seemed that the light is "more correct". So the light is going in the same direction and not as you would have 2 suns, from each side one shining inside the building. For me, the lightning should feel realistic and so i also like to have dark areas where no lightning source is. I would love to use torches and don't just throw them away(and i have nightvision; Khajiit FTW ;) ). I especially like the stealthy/assassination playstyle and so i would love to have a pack that goes in that direction with the right lightning for it. Looked up Relighting Skyrim and the pictures are really nice. Performance wise i should be ok with my new pc.
  3. Hi everyone, I'm Simon and currently i study in Munich. I tested Skyrim only some minutes before i dropped it when it came out for PC because i hated the feeling of a console game. As it was on sale in Steam i thought i give it a second try and i wasn't that disappointed anymore. Started playing games, especially A/RPGs, MMOs really early on my dad's laptop. I think i started to get into the "modding scene" with Torchlight and Warcraft 3 where i did some smaller/unfinished things(uh i did some "mod" like thing before but it was more to see good items on the ground and it needed to change some gamefiles which wasn't quite what the company wanted i guess ). Morrowind was the first TES game i played and what really got me into the TES universe. I also was very very impressed as i saw and tried the external program that makes it look (at least for me) even better than Oblivion. After some time with Skyrim i wanted to look for mods, because i knew there are "some" :hurr: but i was pretty overwhelmed by the huge amount of mods. I always want my games to stay as vanilla and close to the game as possible(especially for the look of it). So after some searching i came over GEMS and a bit later found out it was "only" about gameplay but it directed me to the source i was really searching: STEP. So here i am and want to say Hello to everyone and a big thanks to all of you that are working on such an awesome Project.
