I named it Amidianborn Caves and it appears on the second column a few rows down in G. I agree with your baseline and recommendations except for your spelling of the mod name. I thought I would have a look at seeing how I could help, but did not realise the mod was already up. Would this kind of help be useful, i.e. just adding mod pages for any accepted mods that don't yet have them? :) P.S. Just remove mine or add your recommendations and baseline to mine and remove yours whichever you prefer, I'm cool. Just dipping my toe in the water as it were. -

Smile44 replied to kryptopyr's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Hi, thought I would try and contribute and have created the mod page for this mod. I was unable to add the baseline for this as the form just wouldn't let me and I'm not sure what would be baseline though 2K would be my recommendation as there is no discernible performance hit though that said 1K is the obvious baseline. I shall look into what else I can add but any feedback as to whether I have missed anything obvious or should leave well enough alone then please let me know. :) Edit 1: Ok I thought from the instructions that if a page existed then it would show up when I tried to create it but it didn't so I figured it was still needing to be done - should have checked the existing list of mods. Oh well I gues I should just leave well enough alone. Edit 2: This is because the first entry is misspelled Amidianborm which is why there are now two entries for this. Why am I not able to edit either Baseline or Recommendations? -
Same place WATER does - "Water and Lava" section in BOSS. AS for SR / STEP install order again the same place as WATER unless there is anything other than water added. Check it and if you find it is overwritten by anything then make a decision or ask. Currently in my SR / SRLE combo it is overwritten by Rocking Stones and Mountains Parallax (rock meshes) and Skyfalls (2 normal files). But still looks great so no problems. That said has anyone noticed that where water moves from a lake to a river say the lake near Riverwood, there is no flow towards the first waterfall but plenty after it? All lake water would not show too much obvious flow towards the river that flows from it but there would be some, which would increase the closer it gets to the river, it would seem that some sort of transition is needed between the relatively calm water in the lakes and the faster flowing rivers. After installing this mod I noticed this for the first time so not sure if there is a problem with the mod or that this has always been a problem. :)

Installing Automatic Variants Packs via MO
Smile44 replied to thunderclam's question in General Skyrim LE Support
You are probably better off just extracting all of the AV files into a separate folder e.g. AV Packages/textures/bellyaches... Then DDSOpting each pack as needed. Copy the optimized textures to this folder and then place each one into ModOrganizer/mods each as their own mod or together into the Automatic Variants folder skyproc patchers/AV packages/textures. That way you make life a lot simpler for yourself. Updating is not any more complicated this way than in normal MO installation and or updating, not that these packs are likely to be updated any time soon. :) -
Your Opinion / Knowledge of the following Mod Compatibilities
Smile44 replied to Nearox's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yes very functional but remember SR does not have ASIS, interesting NPCs, Immersive Patrols or SkyRe etc.. :) -
You could be right, I don't know but I have asked if it is possible (easy) to do a version where the holders are less intense. Hopefully as that is my only (small) gripe with it, :)
-
True. They do look good in game though, but the holders are a bit much I think. I'm not sure that I care too much about different colours after all they would in theory be made of the same material and hold the same types of soul magic, the bigger they are the more they hold or bigger soul, the exception being a black soul gem which is made differently and should therefore look slightly different. Makes more sense. I may suggest to the author if it is possible to either tone down the holders a little or do one that just changes the gems. :) EDIT: Have done so, hopefully it will lead to an ENB friendly version.

Magic Soulgems HD by HXP This has just come out. It looks pretty good and is just textures and meshes - better than SGD from first look and of course one less .esp doesn't hurt and improves compatibility.

I believe it is slated for STEP extended as a pack once 2.3 comes out though it is possible it might be in the 2.27 update, either way I doubt its in the guide now. :) EDIT: It is likely to be in the same place as "Beauty of Skyrim" currently is, it would need to be the last Cave texture mod. -
SKYRIMLE SUM - SkyProc Unified Manager (by Leviathan1753)
Smile44 replied to darthbdaman's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I've stopped using AV for now I just use Bellyache's creature pack and am happy with that. I think essentially you have to balance what you want in your game with how many scripts your setup can handle at any one time, AV I can live without DSR I can't yet, ASIS the decision is still pending. If everything is installed correctly though SUM runs fine without any tweaks. It is important to make sure all the AV packs are installed correctly and that you have run AV on it's own at least once to make sure it is working before using SUM - just to make sure. Once you have run AV all the relevant textures will be stored in overwrite. So make sure each patcher works on its own first then remove all the patcher .esp files from overwrite (optional) finally run SUM all should work fine. SUM will also use all the current settings in each of your skyproc mods. :) -

1. Yes 2. Followed guide 3. Latest 4. 3 :) -
Yes indeed he was - Sparrowprince picked up the batton and built W.A.T.E.R. from the ashes of RW1. The Prince has been credited in that some of his improvements to the original RW are used in this new version. :)

Whoops! I feel so ashamed. I'll never be able to show my URL around here again. LOL OP corrected. :)

Discussion thread: Realistic Water Two by isoku Wiki Link Hi this has just appeared on the Nexus and looks like a real rival to any and all water mods. Compatibility: Overview: 🙂 Warning! Dropbox video looks like crap in the player! Download it for best quality. YouTube is better but dropbox download is still best. I'd like to note that I used the same normal for the waters as I did in the previous video (high res calm) for WATER. https://www.dropbox.com/s/d5pou2r3gqbs84e/Water%20Mod%20Comp%20Update.mp4 Difference between regular and calm version of water normals: [video=youtube]http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvyMCtr-oNw WIKI Link

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Wow internet security is getting tighter over here, I can not access that site nor many of the other torrent sites due to restrictions. Need to look into this, thankfully I have the files (well the 2K version), Blimey. -
Mod Organizer wont execute any executables?
Smile44 replied to Smile44's question in Mod Organizer Support
Thanks for idea, still don't know what caused it but System Restore seems to have fixed it - Operating system malarky. Oh well SOLVED (without knowing much). :) -
I had a quick look and did not find this particular problem, though I have come across something similar before and I solved it be reinstalling MO, BOSS, BUM, TES5Edit and WB. Not working this time though and is completely inexplicable to me. I was working on a new install (as you do) and from one successful use to the next BOSS wouldn't execute - it would start then crash. I tried other executables and MO locks (as it should) and then unlocks (which it shouldn't) without any of the programs running. I reinstalled everything and tried the new MO before going back to the old one and despite fresh clean links in the executables drop down menu no programs will run through MO. They will run outside of MO no problem so I am stumped. Any ideas gratefully received. :o_O:

OK have added these to the blocklist for now so should be fine with DSR - Azirok isn't sure what is causing the problem either.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Smile44 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
So do you mean something like this? [From the current instructions] "Right-click the Mod Organizer mod list and select "Refresh". Drag the newly created mod Optimized directly below the original mod and activate it." [Then add on to these] (In MO now the original mod should be activated and the new optimized mod should now be directly below it and also activated, e.g. In this way the new optimized textures will overwrite the original mod textures whilst keeping all other parts of the original mod active - meshes / scripts / plugins etc.) Is this the kind of simplification that you had in mind? :) -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Smile44 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I'm sure all input towards helping clarify any instructions is going to be helpful, my point is that it is all relative in that one person's easy path is another person's maze. There has to be a cut off point. Of course if the *_*n.dds is selecting files that do not need to be reduced then that may need to be clarified, such files are rare though and unlikely to make a huge amount of difference, but as I stated earlier it is perhaps something that can be looked at once the new guide is established in terms of base mods, and integration begins. :) -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Smile44 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
The guide currently says that the DDSOpt optimized folder should be placed just under the original mod, meaning that the optimized textures would then overwrite the un-optimised texture files in the original mod. Following the guide as stated gets you where you need to be. Any guide can always be improved upon but you can never plan for individual interpretations - sometimes you need to read ALL the instructions and then ask questions if those instructions fail to direct you to the correct process. A set of instructions can be worked to death - they are fine as is, I think it says just about everywhere that SR is for experienced modders - that said a simple set of instructions can be achieved but it is impossible to please everyone hence the forums. :) EDIT: "*_*n.dds" captures all types of normal file. "*_n.dds" does not - possibly refinements can be made eventually on a mod buy mod basis, some time, you know, in the future - if actually needed. -

I have to agree HRDLC for core AMB for extended. Vanilla caves don't need to be improved from a basic standpoint but can definitely be improved from an aesthetic one. :) -
I am also getting this error to do with RequiemDB - SIC Patch.esp has a missing master Requiem - Dragonborn.esp except that this esp is present and ticked and the load order is correct. Requiem - Dragonborn.esp Active Requiem - SIC Patch.esp Active RequiemDB - SIC Patch.esp Active As they appear in BOSS. I have reinstalled everything involved e.g. DSR and Requiem patches no luck. Any ideas?
