2) Oh that! I didn't think it was compatible with MO. I never used NMM and only heard bad rumours about it.A mess, because I like to organize the mod sources into folders to keep track. This is obviously impossible with current MO downloads implementation. I do not like tons of files in one place.GSDFan Wrote'GSDFan''64810''1390631711' If a mod has multiple ESPs, like winter is coming cloaks, you can highlight the ones you don't need and move them to the optional section. That way only one ESP will be loaded.3) I get it now. I got confused by the wording, and maybe the two sections of the tab placement. Available should really be called "active". Thank you both. So much stuff to learn all the time.

Great, thank you. However, the second link opens the "Introduction" tab of the guide, which, looking at the address (https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:DDSopt_%26_Texture_Overhauls#tab.3DUsing_DDSopt ), seems wrong. The first link is probably old, and redirects to the guide anyway, so it's probably ok.

So 1) is normal and I don't need to worry about it at all? (would be nice to have this in the MO wiki guide) Weird thing is that some (very few) mods eventually started to display a version. I have no idea how did it happen though. How do I download a mod through MO? All I can see is a big icon in the main menu which is completely useless and simply opens Nexus in the browser. I've just figured out the downloads folder. However, it's kind of useless, because I like to sort the mods into folder structure based on the STEP list. Apparently, MO requires the files to be all in one big pile. Ouch. Guess I will try to file another feature request. I found one more thing I don't quite understand. 3) When I open mod's properties, there is a tab "optional ESPs". What does that do?

1) Why are some of the plugins listed in bold+italics? I couldn't find this anywhere in the wiki. 2) 90%+ of all the mods I have installed do not show correct version. Instead I see a date in red colour there. What's going on? I do have Nexus account credentials set so I thought MO would download relevant info... Checking for updates doesn't help.

ACCEPTED Enhanced Blood Textures (by dDefinder)
Octopuss replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It would be nice to test it as it is without that patch and update the wiki accordingly I guess. -

Is the information in the wiki about the crashes and stuff still true? According to the author, it doesn't seem so clear. - quoted from Nexus. No idea when was this written though. -
It's not about the time at all, just that I don't like registering if I don't have much of use for such account. Google is perfectly fine by me though (finally one instance where it's useful, heh), and I already filed the request in.
-
Call me lazy, but I am not very excited about registering on another site just to post something once... :P
-
like so?
-
Tannin, where do we put feature requests/ideas? Can they be posted here, or do you want them elsewhere?
-
Not sure about BUM, because the compressed optimized textures don't contain any .es? files. But I added all of the stuff at the very top of my MO mods list, so I assume I am fine.
-
I wish there were! :( Apparently mod authors expect people to know exactly what to do, which is not necessarily always true.
-
That's done simply by putting the patch after the main mod, right? Just making sure. Also since I obviously thought everything works differently, let's have an example: I install Dual Sheath Redux mod, which has optional compatibility patch "aMidianborn Book of SIlence pack". How do I install that? After Dual Sheath Redux, or after the main aMidianborn Book of Silence mod? Man this is more complicated than I thought.
-
Oh wait, so it doesn't sort the mods in left panel at all? Balls, that's not good. I thought it would do just that.
-
Well, it seems like having some control over it is a good idea, because new versions of patches are sometimes released, and having vanilla versions of mods could be helpful when troubleshooting something. I am not sure where does BOSS come in, because most stuff are loose files, and I believe BOSS only works with those main types of files?
-
Lots of mods have patches released for them, and tons of optional files. How do I install those? Is there any specific procedure, or do I just install them like a new mod and give them appropriate name, and manually set load order?

Immersive Animations left hand draw/sheath not working
Octopuss replied to MasterBomarc's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I was just about to grab this mod, but then found this thread. What the heck is up with only being able to install one animation? That totally kills the purpose. -
Well I am glad I ended up here! And allright, sorry, I am used to relatively language-free forums.

I wish normal users uploaded more screenshots then. Just look at this: HD Ore And Ingots: Super Realistic Ore: What in the holy f is the fuzzy thing in the 2nd picture?! That's like a screenshot taken in motion with 1% jpg quality or something. How am I supposed to choose based on that?
-
I guess the screenshots on Nexus are not the best quality then, because the ore in the other mod looks quite poor compared to this.
-
Aha. I thought STEP was made so that mods generally don't conflict, with the exception of the graphics section. But after staring at screenshots again I decided to go with this one. Seems like the superior one after all :D
-
Does this conflict with Super realistic ore? I assume it does, but both mods are listed in STEP, so I am a bit unsure.

DROPPED Animated Weapon Enchants (by Vysh)

Well, I am mostly picking mods up from STEP list, with a few additions from Neovalen's list, so I guess I am fairly safe? But looking at the instructions for the patches, I still don't quite understand. Example: It says to disable DiversePriests_BringOutYourDeadPatch.esp, but neither of those mods have any such patch listed. Can you explain that? Maybe I will finally understand how it works then.
-
Ahh. Don't those patches eventually need updating if the appropriate mod is updated as well though? I am building my selection of mods these days, and lots of them have all kinds of patches available for them, and I have to say it's extremely confusing.
