Stable uGridsToLoad (by Altimor)
Octopuss replied to hellanios's question in Other Utilities Support
Do I have to increase uExterior Cell Buffer with ugrids or not? Everywhere I go they say I do. -
ACCEPTED Weapon and Armor Fixes (by kryptopyr)

So basically I will end up with removing all the plugins from ICH and using those provided by WAF patch. Cool! Thanks. -

Yea, could anyone confirm this? -
And now I even have a dog with purple fur. What in the bloody hell is going on? How can there be a conflict with THAT?

When you have the PC up and running, let me know when you start experimenting with ugrids (I know you will :P). I am interested in the FPS you'd get on similar card to mine (R9 290 with 4GB memory as well).

I thought it was so extremely weird it couldn't be a bug :D

Steps to reproduce: 1) click on the dropdown menu on your name in top right corner of the forum and select "my profile". 2) then click on the new content link. This is what opens for me: If I select "my settings" instead of "my profile" and then go to new content, I see threads as usual.

I have two more weird textures. First is a weirdly coloured water surface in Helgen keep. The other is another purple texture on loading screen. What in the hell could cause this? I also spotted some purple quivers a few times. Sigh. Damn modding.

SKYRIMLE Pelts of Skyrim - Hi-Res Pelt Packs (by Gamwich)
Octopuss replied to egocarib's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Not over here. SRO doesn't have any pelts textures in it. And now that I examined the textures closely, I am not sure I want this mod. It's basically the old textures from hires pack with new smaller texture slapped over them and slightly sharpened edges. The result looks weird. Just compare them side by side. -
OH! That explains. Some sort of compatibility patch would be needed. But seriously, where are the villages and towns getting water from? I thought a well would be in every settlement.

It's not a new game. I stopped RND, uninstalled it, reinstalled this, had no MCM menu, read the sticky comment on Nexus, reinstalled the mod and waited for some time before opening it again, and then it worked. As far as I can tell the mod works. I definitely am getting the notifications about being hungry or whatever. Maybe the well in Riverwood is "fake", and the folk in Falkreath is drinking directly from the river there. It's just that there seems to be very few places to refill the waterskins (I hope the bottles will be added in near future).

Not exactly. Improved Closefaced Helmets --FULL SET-- V0_9 contains imp_helm.esp, which also has the imperial and guard helmets included. Improved Closefaced Helmets -- WAF and CCF Compatible Versions contains Improved Closefaced Helmets_Legendary.esp, which contains the main helmets, the Dawnguard and Dragonborn stuff, but does not contain the imperial and guard stuff. The latter are standalone plugins called imp_helm_imp.esp and imp_guard_helm.esp. So there is the legendary file which cannot overwrite anything, and there are two standalone plugins for stuff not present in the legendary file, BUT which again cannot overwrite anything, because the features are already included in the ICH main file. MY BRAIN IS FULL OF F*CK!!! -
Yeah I read the description too. The trouble is I couldn't find any stream or barrel or anything yet (and apparently not everyting that looks like a waterfall actually is one), and since I've only played Skyrim a little thus far, I don't even know where am I supposed to look for them :D There's a well right next to the general store (?), but it seems inactive. I don't know.

Octopuss replied to WilliamImm's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Oh ok. I am curious how is it supposed to work with the way these particular plugins are. -
After playing with the mod for some time I am slightly confused about collecting water. You can't get it from rivers anymore. That wouldn't be that bad, but I couldn't find any streams anywhere, and there don't seem to be any water barrels around. Also, you're supposed to be able to get water from wells, but the one in Riverwood doesn't work. Is that normal? And um, there's no well in Falkreath!

Wow, this mod lets me set timescale! That's awesome! It's a very minor thing, but I still like it.

I don't understand the Improved Closefaced Helmets patch.I have installed the full version of ICH along with Dawnguard and Dragonborn, which means I have imp_helm.esp, imp_helm_dawn.esp, and imp_help_dbrn.esp.I read I am supposed to put the WAF patch after these in the installation order to overwrite them, BUT that's the problem: there's nothing to overwrite.First of all, the legendary version of the patch is obviously differently named file, so it cannot overwrite what I already have installed. What am I supposed to do at this point? Then, the full set of ICH already contains those two optional plugins provided in the patch, so again, there's nothing to overwrite.Could someone explain the whole thing to an idiot please? -
I bet it will soon :D As for Diseased, is it ok as long as you stay in the vanilla lands?
-
Does iNeed already do all the stuff RND does, or is it still lacking in some features?
-
Does it make any difference if I enable vsync ingame or in enblocal.ini? edit: For some super weird reason it doesn't even work when it's enabled in skyrimprefs.ini, but disabled in enblocal.ini. Guess I am stuck with ENB.

Stable uGridsToLoad (by Altimor)
Octopuss replied to hellanios's question in Other Utilities Support
So when I want to mess with ugrids, shall I do it from console or shall I edit the ini file? -
I find myself smelting the stuff I wear/use all the damn time. It's extremely frustrating, but it's really difficult not to do it, because there's no indication that the item I am about to deconstruct is actually equipped, and all you see is the item name. Obviously with rather full inventory it's pretty much impossible to rememeber what is what. Is there anything I can do about this (don't tell me to be more careful, lol)? Like, is there a mod that would lock equipped stuff or something?

ACCEPTED Skyrim Realistic Overhaul (by Starac)
Octopuss replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
No, I only removed the redundant files. Nothing else. I also remember Starac once said there was nothing to optimize about his textures because they were done in some way - I can't remember the details. Of course, this is obviously a matter of personal preferences and there's always something you can do with them.- 425 replies
