Time of day does something awful between 7 p.m.-7 a.m.

You guys are the BEST. Vignetting was exaggerating a Mist problem. I don't even remember touching mist, lol. Thanks so very much. I was ready to pull my hair out. -

Alright. I ended up running out of time to play with this more last night, but gonna give it a go again based on all the feedback. At least I have some good ideas where to start. I remembered why I love this community <3 lol -

OK, I'll start digging around there. Thank you :) -

Talking volumetric or under environmental? I'll try to play with both later this evening. -

Thanks Aiyen! To follow up. I've been chatting with prod anyways and I'm linking him here, but so I don't repeat both places: 1) Not a specific weather. Has happened like clockwork over several of them in several locations, both foggy and snowy etc. I scribbled a few down: 0x00C821E 0x000C8211 0x00000000 2) I tried toggling what I remembered touching, but if the problem persists I'll go through it again. EDIT: I had NOT been using Lens, Adaptation or Sunglare but turning them on didn't fix it, either. 3) I thought of bloom too. Turning it off completely helps slightly but does not fix it. 4) Did not touch Time of Day. I doublechecked with an unaltered Serenity and it matches, so I didn't do it accidentally, either. :) -

So I've been tweaking an ENB for personal use, using Serenity 11.2 as a base. While I have a long way to go, early results had me pretty pleased. Now admittedly me tweaking an ENB involves a lot of "what does THIS value do?? :D " but everything goes horribly horrible at 7 p.m.-7 a.m. in game all of a sudden, and I do NOT know what I've done. Here's a sampling of what I mean. Worth noting, if I turn off time of day during the um ... time of day it looks normal, then I get the ugly blurriness THEN too. Everything gets blown out and ugly and there's a white oblong ... thing in the middle of my screen -- you can even see it faintly on the loading screen. Halp? :( I looked through all the values I'd tinkered with and nothing seemed too out of whack at night. -
When launching SKSE thru MO, get default steam Skyrim loader
Noobsayer replied to Noobsayer's question in Mod Organizer Support
OK, so apparently letting it correctly control steam (by logging out of steam before running MO) it also correctly loads all my mods. Feel a little stupid for not trying that earlier. :) Thanks so much! -
When launching SKSE thru MO, get default steam Skyrim loader
Noobsayer posted a question in Mod Organizer Support
So this isn't about not getting the memory patch to work or whatever. I have two problems as far as I can tell. 1) MO can't tell when steam is running (it asks me to start it up even when it's already running) 2) When the game launches, it launches the default steam launcher. From the looks of things, none of my mods are working (not just the SKSE ones) so it appears MO is not taking effect. I tried letting MO "open" steam (even though it's already running) and I tried telling it no, either way the result is the same. I haven't changed anything about my mod setup since I played a few months ago, except to add a new White Phial replacer. I haven't even updated USKP etc. because I don't feel like doing compatibility stuff again right now. I did have MO 1.25, had DL troubles, upgraded to 1.26 ... but it was doing this on 1.25 as well. Suggestions? =/ I'm out of practice here. -
Updated with new Aemer's Refuge displays. Plan for a couple of new house additions soonish too.

SKYRIMLE Real Shelter - Full Release (by Robinsage)
Noobsayer replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Well, it got an update yesterday. Peeked at the Non-CoT, Full DLC version. Still a handful of places where Dawnguard location info isn't forwarded (and a couple where Solstheim info is referenced?) and at least in my version, a lot of "could not be resolved" errors regarding the just-added Solstheim shelters. I still think the mod has a lot of potential, but I don't think it's "there" yet. I did send a detailed list to the author, though. -
:D Those look fabulous, can't wait!

How does this play with Convenient Horses and My Home is Your Home/Give a Dog a Home? Anyone have experience? :) -

It also is causing problems with Dawnguard for a lot of people, though the upcoming update is supposed to fix that. -
SKYRIMLE Camping Kit of the Northern Ranger by The Northern Ranger
Noobsayer replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I have used and thoroughly enjoyed this mod, though mostly for followers (since I typically use Frostfall tents for myself). Lately though I've been using Camping Lite for that, since setting up camp via a power is less fussy imo. Still, I am tempted to set up a permanent camp with CCotNR somewhere. :) -
SKYRIMLE Immersive Stables -- Vanilla Edition (by FatalxSyn)
Noobsayer posted a topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Nexus Link Spruces up the Vanilla stables. Windhelm Stable now looks like the horses might not freeze to death, etc. Didn't visit every one yet but the ones I have, look good. Does not forward a couple of USKP changes and has one conflict with ELFX Exteriors, but the second looks fine to let ELFX changes overwrite. None with Touring Carriages (if loaded before), RWT, Point the Way, Improved Puddles. -
I see them, but they're tiny even when clicked on :) So I ran around quite a bit more this morning. I still don't see seams -- I think maybe some people are confusing the distant rain effect (where lines blow across) for seams. I saw no white lines on trees. I saw a few very small ground clouds disappear as I passed through them, but I can attribute that to them simply disappating. I do find that the lightning when it makes zero sense is a bit distracting, however. That's the only thing that made me hesitate.

It seems, at minimum, kinda sloppy to get CoT errors in the non-CoT version though? Like I said it didn't crash me at all or anything. It's also not working for a lot of people though, which further makes me cautious. Thanks for weighing in :) -
Some are reporting seams n such still. I didn't notice them in the time I had it running, but something to look out for for sure. It's scripted so be sure to give it a thorough testing before playing "for real." :) Will do some more tests myself tonight.

I tried this out today using Serenity sepia preset. Very limited testing (was on a short time schedule) but it looked great. Didn't notice any of the previous problems. EDIT: This image is a bit small, will try to link the full image tonight or tomorrow.

ACCEPTED Stealth Skills Rebalanced (by kryptopyr)
Noobsayer replied to kryptopyr's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah, I think races is a bad idea. My dunmer's skin is artificially pale thanks to Racemenu, wouldn't be fair or immersive imo. I do think dark heavy armor should get the camouflage perk, because it IS harder to see in the dark ... and then just let the heavy armor drawbacks to stealth be calculated as well against it. I'd love to see wielding spells lower your sneak ability, particularly bright ones like fire. -
I can't imagine using 2K textures for that. Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD. How much more detail could you possibly get with 2K textures on something that small?
-
Elianora is a very talented house-builder, for sure. :) I think my favorite (from a non-collector stance) is the little Vetrheim apartment in Windhelm.
-
Yeah, I don't have much experience with the multiple adoptions thing. I'm testing it in a current game but I haven't actually done anything with kids yet so I can't really offer an opinion. :) Course you could always use one of the standard "vanilla" (or modded version of vanilla) for your kids and use the mod houses when the Dragonborn needs a little "me" time :P lol
