pack Dreadflopps Modular patches
dreadflopp replied to dreadflopp's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
That is very clever. Never thought about that. I'll definetly include this in the guide. Right now I'm rechecking patches and making everything compatible with https://wiki.step-project.com/Pack:Expansion_for_SRLE Next thing on the list is adding this. Thanks for sharing. -
I think so but I can't actually recall if that's the way to turn it off, isn't there a note about it in the MCM? My game is being updated and patched and tested etc so I can't check for myself atm. I'll get back to you if you don't find the answer before.

Lots of the XCWT - Water record from RW2 were suddenly overwritten. I don't remeber by what, possibly Complete Alchemy & Cooking Overhaul (CACO) that were moved after RW2 by LOOT because of my CACO LOOT rules. Moving RW2 to a later position in the load order prevents these records from being overwritten. All conflicts between RW2 and other mods are being sorted out in the patches.

Making a balanced uncapper setting is time consuming and maybe not even possible since everyone has different play styles. I'm going to review my custom uncapper settings again. The uncapper settings that darkside linked to is very similar to the settings of Better Leveling, which is also stated in its description. Better leveling and this mod evens out leveling. You'll spend just as much time at level 1 as at level 20. This is the purpose anyway. They tries to balance skills by changing how fast different skills level and how much experience you gain from them. These mods also changes lots of other values like carry weight at level up and max level. They also change if it's character level or skill level that determines experience gain. I prefer settings closer to vanilla but what settings to use is very subjective imo. MLU settings is much closer to vanilla and just makes you level at half vanilla speed. I'm probably going with the MLU take on this but add some stuff from Better Leveling. Ordinator adds lots of perks but you are not supposed to get a third of them at level 80 like you do with the settings from the mod Darkside linked to. This is stated by Enai on the nexus page of ordinator. Enai doesn't use the uncapper and getting more perk points per level unbalances the game.

STEP Extended Patch (2.2.9.1)
dreadflopp replied to JohnBell5713's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Rename the FS+WT ELE plugin to match the version that STEP expects. Works well in this situation with these plugins. -
It should but I haven't tested in-game. EDM uses vanilla perks to enhance the spells, the same perks that enhance vanilla spells. Ordinator modifies these perks but not the vanilla spells. Thus, if vanilla spells gets enhanced by ordinator EDM spells should get enhanced too.

The conflict between elemental destruction magic and disparity is already fixed in the patches, I just need to figure out why I can't seem to edit the argonian race description. I'll add a note about adding it to ASIS, thanks!

[WIP] Merge Plugins Standalone {PUBLIC BETA}
dreadflopp replied to Mator's question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
I missed part of the file path and edited my post, still not close to 255 characters though. Thanks for looking into it. At least I know how to avoid this error now. Thanks! -
[WIP] Merge Plugins Standalone {PUBLIC BETA}
dreadflopp replied to Mator's question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
Yes, that exception only happens in that specific situation Good catch, I didn't notice that. It's not just the file extension that is missing. Part of the filename is missing too. It should be 740 Revenge of the enemies - Skyrim Immersive creatures - Step Core & Extended patch.esp. The full path is C:\games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Mod Organizer\Mods\modular morrowloot overhaul patches\740 Revenge of the enemies - Skyrim Immersive creatures - Step Core & Extended patch.esp which should be about 190 characters, if Word counts correctly. Edit: fixed the path -
[WIP] Merge Plugins Standalone {PUBLIC BETA}
dreadflopp replied to Mator's question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
It does. But something strange is going on. Going to do some testing... Starting Merge plugins. I get an error: The load order: I start Merge Plugins again, this time without bashed patch and it loads correctly. I select my patches, adds them to a new merge. From the merges tab I right click the merge and choose to check plugins for errors. Gets the error described in the previous post. I open Merge Plugins again and checks all plugins for errors. It finishes and finds no errors in the plugins I'm about to merge. I add the plugins to a new merge. I try to build the merge which fails: This was when I suspected Merge Plugins couldn't handle filenames that are to long. I delete the merge and reopen Merge Plugins. I create a new merge without the plugin that caused the previous merge to fail. I build it and it finishes without errors: This time it actually builds the merged plugin correctly, which it didn't do before (previous version of Merged Plugins). The question remains; why did I need to disable the bashed patch and why couldn't I check the files for errors or build a merged plugin with a certain plugin. the plugin that caused the merge to fail is a simple plugin with 4 NPC records and no errors. I rename the plugin that caused errors to give it a short name. I start Merged Plugins. I get errors: I try again and it starts normally without errors. Making a new merge with the renamed plugin and it works. Conlusion? Everything seems random. But maybe length of file name? The patch is not included in the bashed patch btw. Why does it fail to load with the bashed patch? -
Thanks, added!

[WIP] Merge Plugins Standalone {PUBLIC BETA}
dreadflopp replied to Mator's question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
This was with the last build, 2.0.2.1 but I just updated and the error persists. This might be an error on my part since no one else is reporting this. The error message: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mdh9xm8cvh7e0dm/Skärmklipp%202015-10-13%2010.40.09.png?dl=0 The log: -

[WIP] Merge Plugins Standalone {PUBLIC BETA}
dreadflopp replied to Mator's question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
Some merges are constantly failing for me. Sometimes I get an access violation when checking the plugins included in the merge for errors. Sometimes the merge finishes but when checking the merge some plugins are missing for it. I am trying to merge my own patches which works with the merge script. Some pquestions: 1) does the merge plugin standalone have a problem with long filenames? 2) does it have a problem with merging 20 or more plugins? 3) does it have a problem with long plugin lists, even though being under 255 plugins? -
Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul added to the guide. Ordinator is the main skill replacer.

pack Dreadflopps Modular patches

Could some kind soul check these instructions for merging plugins and see if there are any bad spelling or language. Also check for instructions that are unclear: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Dreadflopp/Merging_Plugins#Merging_Instructions https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Dreadflopp/Merging_Plugins_With_TES5Edit -
pack Dreadflopps Modular patches

Me too, right now I'm making sure everything is up to date and about to fix SRLE explorers edition compatibility with step, my packs and immersive citizens. Please read my edit above. Didn't mean to scream CRACK at you... -
pack Dreadflopps Modular patches

I haven't tried CACO yet but the patches are done. I'm just waiting for frostfall to be updated. I can post them if you like. Give reports on reduced carry weight with CRACK and how it works for you :) I'll check the notice board later today Edit: not CRACK, CACO. It sounded a little aggressive but it was just autocorrect... -
Or they might actually, I'm going through all the patches and updating the guide to be ready for the new frostfall and with CACO added. The MLU patches probably needs stats added. I finally installed the standalone merge script. I cannot reproduce this behaviour. All the patches shows up for me and are mergeable.
-
I'm really liking this and it could be useful for STEP users using immersive citizens too. I'm absolutely going to use this and adapt your patch for relighting Skyrim instead of ELFX.
-
No they don't.
-
Updating the guide will take awhile. There were more patches needed than i thought. CACO - SIC/Toxicity/CoinReplacer/Paralyze (which I'll just override for now)/Radiant and unique potions (I'll recommend to deactivate it)/STEP patches overrides. There were also several LOOT rules that needs to be created and I need to make patches for TTRSO too. I'll be done in probably a week. You need to start a new game if you add CACO so you'll have some time to finish your current games :) While I'm at it I'll add the elemental magic mod that was recommended.

Hm, I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I am using MO but the merge plugins only loads plugins from my Skyrim/data folder: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z6pxxju9nnhi1kw/Sk%C3%A4rmklipp%202015-10-04%2019.05.55.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/lpwec913gq3m4a2/Sk%C3%A4rmklipp%202015-10-04%2019.06.03.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/z3rngqs39mxi77d/Sk%C3%A4rmklipp%202015-10-04%2019.06.08.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/797ftviah2ohf8e/Sk%C3%A4rmklipp%202015-10-04%2019.06.27.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/3qo51bhjpu1282t/Sk%C3%A4rmklipp%202015-10-04%2019.06.50.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/bhdg84v3n5lylxq/Sk%C3%A4rmklipp%202015-10-04%2019.07.01.png?dl=0 -
I will hopefully be able to work a little on the packs tonight and add caco, depends on how much patching is needed. I also need to update the merging instructions to use the stand alone version and the the reported errors when merging MLU patches.
