I'm installing Enhanced Lights and FX. I have already deleted the Thalmor embassy cell. What am I supposed to do next? The instructions are below. When I put "xx16733B" in the Form ID field nothing happens. Once the above is done a Script needs to be run to clean the Formlist IDs: Search for xx16733B (xx is the formid of EnhancedLightsandFX.esp) then Right click on that record and select apply script Select Remove invalid entries from from lists Click OK. You can now exit and save the esp.

I'm on the step to edit Extended UI with the CK to convert it to form 44. I followed these steps from earlier in the guide: Ensure the Overwrite folder is empty. Run the CK from the executable drop-down menu. Select the File menu and choose [Data...]. Find the plugin* to be converted, and select [set as Active File]. *(A quick way to do this is to type the first letter of the ESP's name until it appears in the window.) Note the Parent Masters listed and ensure they are checked (double-click the plugin listing to check it). Click [OK] and allow the CK to load. Once complete, save the plug (icon on toolbar or File > Save). In between 6 and 7 I get numerous error messages. I can still save the file and the timestamp on the ESP file gets updated but trying to launch the game with Extended UI enabled crashes the game. On top of that, now when I try to launch CK from inside MO2 it won't even launch anymore. No idea what would be preventing that from happening.

I shot myself in the foot and accidentally let Steam update the game. I went ahead and installed SKSE 2.0.9 and started the guide. For the mods that required SKSE I downloaded any that had updates. I know eventually I am going to have problems with a SKSE mod that hasn’t been updated yet. I’ve encountered a problem that I’m not sure if the new SKSE version is what is causing the problems. When I run SKSE executable in MO2, the MO2 pop up window says it’s running steamwebhelper.exe, not SkyrimSE.exe. Nothing happens, the game doesn’t try to launch and then crash, or anything. Any ideas what is going on?

Ignore the post above I repeated the steps again and the second time it worked.

I thought I had followed the steps to install Dual Sheath Redux correctly from this page: https://wiki.step-project.com/Dual_Sheath_Redux#Recommendations When I launch the game I get this error message: Dual Sheath redux Patch Data not detected Please run SkyProc patcher and activate the esp file FYI I did the following "After closing the Dual Sheath Redux Patch, there will be files in Overwrite (essentially a fake mod located at the bottom of the left pane if sorted by priority ascending) created by DSR. Right-click Overwrite and select Create Mod, name it DSR Output and click OK. This will create a new mod listing in the left pane for the DSR patch generated files. You will then need to check it to enable it. " There is a checked DSR Output mod in the left pane. DualSheathRedux.esp is checked in the Plugins pane (priority 148 from LOOT) so no idea what is causing the error message. When I open DSR Output folder using Explorer, the file structure looks like this: 1. SkyProc patchers folder 2. Meta .ini file Inside the SkyProc Patchers folder is the following structure: 1. Dual Sheath Redux Patch folder Inside the DSRP folder is the following structure: 1. Files folder 2. SkyProc debug folder

ACCEPTED Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD (by Sheson)

I am on this step of installing DynDOLOD: 1.Run DynDOLOD TexGen through MO from the drop-down menu. I get the following error message: Fatal: Could not open Registry key: \SOFTWARE\Bethesda Softworks\Skyrim\ This can happen after Steam updates, run game's launcher to restore registry setting. I restarted Steam and launched the game from MO and was able to load the game with no problems. Still get the error message when attempting to run TexGen Any troubleshooting tips are appreciated -
I am using the STEP guide for classic Skyrim for the first time. I am near the end of the process and am at the step to create a Bashed patch. Before I create the Bashed patch I installed several mods that were not in the STEP guide. This includes mods from Enai Siaion, Legacy of the Dragonborn, Deadly Dragons etc. I want to try the Morrowloot Ultimate mod for the first time. On the Morrowloot Ultimate Nexus page it recommends using Skyrim Immersive Creatures and Revenge of the Enemies. I've never used those mods before either. Here is the link to SIC. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24913/? I installed all the mods in Section 2H Characters and Creatures. I assume there was a specific reason for why this popular mod was not included in that section of the STEP guide. It looks like it adds a lot of new creatures that are not covered in Section 2H. Is it safe for me to install this mod? Is there any reason why I shouldn't use this mod and just go with the STEP guide? Thanks in advance

ACCEPTED Skyrim Realistic Overhaul (by Starac)
Rescorla replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Ive only used STEP once before for FNV. I used the Fear and Loathing guide and in that guide issues like the one I described are usually accounted for and walk you thru the process. As your link pointed out, usually you can right click and select Set Data Directory and that fixes the problem and you get the green Looks Good message. That did not work for me so either I did something wrong or the STEP instructions for installing SRO are incorrect. I probably did something wrong but at this point don't know how to proceed.- 425 replies

ACCEPTED Skyrim Realistic Overhaul (by Starac)
Rescorla replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'm using the STEP guide on Classic for the first time. I'm also using Skyrim Realistic Overhaul for the first time. Got a question to get clarification on how to install the SRO files. If I try to install them using MO, I get the red warning message that the data directory doesn't exist. When I right click on the data folder and select the option to create a data directory, the warning message does not change to the green Look Good. If I continue on with the install, I get another warning message that says bad things could happen if I continue. I stopped and did not install SRO Part 1 using MO. I then tried just extracting the file into the Skyrim folder. It ended up creating a SRO Part 1 subfolder. Inside that folder is a Data/texture subfolder structure with multiple subfolders inside the textures folder. I assume the correct thing to do is copy the entire texture sub folder into the main Data folder. Rinse and repeat for all the other SRO files. Can someone confirm if that is what I should do? Thanks in advance- 425 replies

4GB patch apparently didn't work
Rescorla replied to Rescorla's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Changed it to 0 last night and stopped getting "Out of Memory" errors even after playing for over an hour. Hopefully that INI setting was the culprit. -

I have it set to 450 like the guide says. -
4GB patch apparently didn't work
Rescorla replied to Rescorla's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
This is what the guide says: bReplaceHeap = 1 <-- Needed for heap replacement, only for advanced users, detailed info in the readme. Modern systems will want to make use of this so it is recommended to enable this. Are you saying I should set this to 0? -
4GB patch apparently didn't work
Rescorla replied to Rescorla's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I'm just using Task Manager. Here is latest example of the problem. I'm on the quest to unearth the Legion spy at Camp McCarron. On fresh computer bootup and launch of the game I exit McCarron airport, go to the control tower, and then go back inside McCarron airport on my way to the monorail. Upon trying to go back inside the airport my game locked up due to being out of memory. I ran out of memory in less than 10 minutes of playing the game. -
4GB patch apparently didn't work
Rescorla replied to Rescorla's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Something screwy is going on then. I reran the 4GB patcher again making sure I ran it as an administrator. Got a message the game had already been patched. Kept on getting "Out of Memory" errors. I downloaded the 4GB .exe and launched the game with it. Still running out of memory around 2GB. -
4GB patch apparently didn't work
Rescorla replied to Rescorla's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I get a value of 5 when I run that command. -
I followed the guide and ran the 4GB patcher. I am on my first playthrough of FNV and typically only play for about 60-90 minutes per session. Started getting Out of Memory messages when I play for over 90 minutes. Checked task manager and the FNV executable is still running using 2GBs of memory. Pretty clear indication that the 4GB patcher didn't work. This far into the game (I'm level 22) can I just download the 4GB executable file and start using that or should I rerun the 4GB patcher and try to fix it? Is there some way for me to verify the 4 GB patcher actually worked?

Extremely bright lighting glitch with some cells

I use the base ENB from Boris Vostonov that the Fear and Loathing guide says to use. -
Extremely bright lighting glitch with some cells
Rescorla posted a question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
When I zoned into Camp McCarran and Crimson Caravan the lighting gets bugged and the screen becomes extremely bright. Gameplay can continue it's just difficult seeing what is going on. When I zone back out to Mojave Wasteland the lighting reverts back to normal. I tried troubleshooting by removing the RWL mod that is at the end of my load order. That just made matters worse by making everything in the game super bright no matter what zone I was in. Any idea what is going on? -
Starting over bashed patch process from scratch

If I had missing masters wouldn't that be identified when I ran LOOT?
