SKYRIMLE Can't Install STEP Patch

Hello, i'm brazilian so i'm sorry if my english isn't that good.

 

I followed all the steps to install Skyrim that are in this link: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9.2

But, when I tried to install the STEP Compilation Patch via Mod Organizer, there were no options available for STEP Core or STEP Extended in the installer, so it seems that there is some missing mod or plugin.

I made sure that all the mods required are installed: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP_Patches_Requirements
So what should I do? Can someone help me?

Hi Gagacycy, welcome to the STEP forums. Your English is fine, by the way, much better than my Portuguese!

 

It looks like the information in that link needs to be updated. The current list of requirements can be found on the first post of of the STEP Compilation thread.

I am having the same issue.  I have checked to ensure that I have the required .esp's to download and install the core patch but no matter what I do the core patch option is always grayed out.

I can't look at the current installer since I don't have access to the file ATM. You could just install the texture compilation part for now and then get the STEP Patches Resource from the Optional Files on the STEP Nexus page and select the patch you want.

This is a problem in the installer. I'll have to change the design a little bit. Nothing like testing an installer by tossing it out to the users! ::

When I try to install STEP Compilation Installer - Normal Res - 2292i I get the following error: "The element 'plugin' has invalid child element 'typeDescriptor'. List of possible elements expected: 'files,conditionalFlags'." Then MO pops up "installation failed (errorcode 5)" 

 

I actually found the fix just before posting this, but figured this would be a good place to post it anyway for others with the same issue as the fix was buried in another post regarding required mods. ( see this post: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/9370-step-compilation/page-2?do=findComment&comment=147127 )

 

The fix is simple, set the internal fomod installer in MO to prefered.
