SRLE Extended

Recommended Posts

I'm merging No Snow Under The Roof and noticed this:

Whistling Mine - No Snow Under the Roof.esp (requires NSUTR_merged.esp) as its master.

Whereas the SRLE base is named NSUTR - Merged.esp.

What's the best way to get around this? Thx

that's not right if you are just doing the merge it should require Prometheus_No_snow_Under_the_roof.esp (should be install anyway)

If you have done the merge you named the esp wrong in merge plugins.

Yup, sorry about that (see my previous post).

Not really sure what happened. MO showed the red yield icon next to the plugin with NSUTR_merged.esp as missing master, but when I reinstalled the Whistling Mine no snow patch, it went back to Prometheus_No_snow_Under_the_roof.esp as master. Anyway, all is good now!

Did the 32-bit Champollion fix the Dreadflopp CACO merge issue? Just curious, because I know a couple people mentioned it.

Unfortunately no. xEdit also shows error messages with this plugin as well, so that must mean something else right? I'm PMing "reddvilzz" since he had same problem as me; hopefully he can shed some light on this.

Good call. I was using the 64-bit version. Will try the 32-bit and see if it helps out...

I've tried it, looks great in some areas, and out of place in others. That's the tough thing about textures, looking at individual ones might look great, but when combined with all the other textures that blend in a particular area, now that's the trick.

I use SMC (mod combiner) which provides the nicest balance, but can be a little tricky incorporating with other builds. But TBH, I'd never play Skyrim without it (guess I'm all about the visuals). I wonder if Darth would consider this for the upcoming LOTD build.

Another vote for SMC.  I run the full SMC pack (minus one mod simply unavailable.. anywhere) with SRLEX right now and man is it gorgeous.  Have to pull out a few esps for merging into existing merges but overall once SMC was installed it only took an hour or so to get all integrated with SRLEX.. not counting patchers/dyndolod running.

Their mod page is very explanatory;  everything needed to know about is there.  I can answer any questions you may have.

I assume since this is a STEP guide you won't be advocating the act of locating the handful of mods that were removed/taken down but they aren't required to make use of SMC... If, however, you are interested in locating those mods I can assist with that as well.  My SMC install has everything except one mod that appears to literally be no longer on the internet.

One thing you probably will need to do... open up the smc ini file and set the flag for force dlc.  For whatever reason it couldn't tell that I had the DLC available so it didn't offer up the full mod list to me until then.

Mise because we clean the ESMs and it looks by CRC?

well I have just copied my whole mods folder to SMC "Texture Pack" for testing after loading it did find some of the mods I currently have installed it didn't find all of them which is annoying this could because the mod names might ever so slightly different the the one SMC are trying to find.

Yeah it looks for exact file names, so that's a a bit annoying - I like to merge old mods which aren't actively developed into one 7z BAIN package and having to have a second version on disk for SMC used to annoy me.

Its a good "mod" though, even with those minor annoyances.

There's a few things in there I'm not a huge fan of, but overall its a very well done selection of texture & models.

Well, saying that I'm the kind of guy that finds "Purist" Immersive Creatures grating and immersion-breaking, so my standards might be different from others.
