Yes, 1.6 will have those changes. The TPC was originally intended to just merge the 3 required texture packs, but then grew to an "ESP free" texture compilation, and has now grown even further. I just haven't gotten around to ESPs yet. I only did an exception previously due to the importance of SMIM. 1.6 will be different.

@cestral

Good job on the TPC, it makes me wonder if I should follow my old STEP install or use it instead/supplement... lol. Made a full install version of TPC 1.5... so hard to decide without seeing it all together.

I know TC has been looking at your work, see him posting in your comments section... makes me wonder if it'll be the next base or not. :)

TC does intent TPC to be a major part of the next release, and that's something we're going over at the moment.  As I pointed out above, I wouldn't use the new SMIM (v1.24) in TPC; SMIM's author changed the folder layout so you might not get everything you're supposed to.

Using MO I've inserted TPC into the lineup without any problems.  If you're using it (or Wrye Bash) just make sure all the mods included (and anything they're supposed to overwrite) are placed before TPC, that way TPC's choices take precedence but any mods that overwrite the TPC mods still will.

That's about 90% probability at this point, We'll likely announce it on Monday.

edit: I am just so easy to ninja, I need to stop opening so many tabs :P

Lol, just refresh before you start the post, I open one for every new post as well.

My only concern doing it this way is files that were intentionally omitted will be installed.

For example with TPC 1.51, the following files are not installed from ruins clutter improvement and no other mod in the TPC overrides these (found in the "missing" tab in Wrye Bash):

meshes\clutter\silver\silvercandlestick01.nif

meshes\clutter\silver\silvercandlestick02.nif

meshes\clutter\silver\silvercandlestick03.nif

meshes\clutter\sovngarde\sovcandlestick01.nif

meshes\clutter\sovngarde\sovcandlestick01static.nif

meshes\clutter\sovngarde\sovcandlestick02.nif

meshes\clutter\sovngarde\sovcandlestick02static.nif

meshes\clutter\sovngarde\sovcandlestick03.nif

meshes\clutter\sovngarde\sovcandlestick03static.nif

meshes\dungeons\dwemer\levers\ruinslever01\dwelever01.nif

meshes\dungeons\dwemer\levers\ruinslever02\dwelever02.nif

I'm not sure the reason for the omission of these particular items (cestral would have to say) but installing RuinsClutterImprovement then installing TPC would put these in when cestral obviously didn't think they looked right.

The STEP crew may have a differing viewpoint and that is totally valid too just figured I'd point this out that there will be hangers on like this with that methodology.

Ah, forgot about files hanging around like that, I guess I'll have to disable the as well.

That's a bug. I've messed up the folder structure for those files. I will have it fixed. Until then you can put them in manually before you compress the merged folders.

Thanks for the response Cestral! I'll go ahead and install these then as well. When I get a chance I'll also post any "missing" items from other mods also to see if they are also bugs.

I omitted some that are "configurable" like Visible Windows / SMIM as it would obviously have missing files depending on configuration. Also omitted any txt or documentation stuff.
