Kuldebar Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53692/? This replacer helps FPS smoothness noticeably in areas like Whiterun Interior Entrance where the smoke from braziers can degrade performance on some systems.. (Low Res Smoke - v1) Similar to the highly recommended Skyrim Performance PLUS by VirusType2 aka Vergis, this mod works the same magic. Often times people invest so much of their system resources in larger textures for things that don't merit the overhead or burden.
Garfink Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Good idea, I have a titan and it still can slow in cities with lots of NPCs walking around. Worth a try, doesn't seem to degrade the image too much.

oqhansoloqo Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Is this going to end up in STEP alongside Skyrim Performance PLUS?
DoubleYou Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 The only thing I've noticed about this mod, is the smoke seems a little too smokey. It's a little too thick. Because water often uses the same smoke effect for mist, it doesn't look quite as good as vanilla. My 2 cents.

My 2 cents.Yeah, perhaps, definitely a matter of taste; I like smokie smoke as long as there's no banding or the cotton ball effect of the Extreme Version.
