A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim

Well, a navmesh conflict does not necessarily mean that you will run into issues. More than likely you will not, since as you said there hasn't been a mention of in this thread and so presumably no issues. I have yet to play Ogmund's Tomb myself, though it has been in my install since it was added to REGS

Regardless, I am pretty sure CJ would not have overlooked something like that during testing.

For Immersive College of Winterhold should we be installing the Syrim Distance Overhaul Patch if we're using STEP Extended?  It's not clear from the instructions and I just wanted to double check it wasn't already in the patch at the end.  SR:LE has you install the patch.

For those of you who weren't didn't think Dawn of Whiterun was taxing on your system enough here's a new Whiterun overhaul mod that features a DoW compatible option:

JK's Whiterun

I haven't been able to dl it yet to check it out but it looks like it adds A LOT to whiterun.  Could be nice as long as it doesn't feel like overkill.  It looks like there's some stuff outside of Breezehome though so I don't know how well Breezehome Fully Upgradable will work with this.

Thanks Chris. I'll check it out. I don't have any problems with DoW. I am curious if it will work with the other REGS mods I use - Nernies, Better City Entrances and Sewers.

Edit. Now that I've looked at Hodi's video I don't think there will be any conflict with the other REGS mods....and it looks really well done. I'm definitely trying this out. Thanks.

No problem, Teabag.  I was finally able to get it to dl so I'll be checking it out soon.  I don't have much of a problem with dow either but this looks like it adds quite a bit so, between the two, I'm sure I'll feel it a little bit but I don't think it will be enough to cause me problems.  He says it is compatible with Breezehome Fully Upgradable.

The only place I used to get a FPS hit in Whiterun was standing on top of the stairs outside Dragons Reach and panning across the entire town. In the end I dropped amidianborn Whiterun - even though I love the look. I followed Noobzor's idea of dropping a lot of texture packs. Although truth be told over half of them have crept back in. The vanilla roads look terrible!

I just finished installing S.T.E.P. Core / Extended, and was going to move on to this, but I was curious about some of the mods. When installing Core/Extended, there were some compatibility options for thing such as Falskaar/Wyrmstooth that I neglected to install. Will I need to go back and reinstall the S.T.E.P. CORE/Extended and include those compatibility patches before moving on to this, or does this pack take into account that some people may not have installed those options?

Is that LOOT reporting or did you check via tes5edit? Regardless all REGS mods that needed cleaning have instructions for them. Others dont need cleaning or have a replacement esp avaialble via the REGS - Patches FOMOD installer.

I think I saw people in another thread here today saying LOOT suddenly reported (potentially) false ITMs.

Yeah you need to go back to those mods.  Both RWT and Skyfalls/Skymills have Falskaar and WT options in the installer. Not sure about other ones as I use SRLE, but if memory serves me right there is no other.

Edit: Oh yeah you could download the CoT Falskaar optional @ https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38361/?

Thanks, I will just go back through them, it isn't a big deal. I'll also take a look at SRLE as well. I haven't played Skyrim in a while, and figured I'd hit up the mod scene again, and it seems the the S.T.E.P. Core/Extended seems to be the go-to-guide for starting fresh in modding.

All I can say about JK's Whiterun is WOW!!!! There are some really nice touches, especially the Skyforge and Warmaidens. I ran the DOW compatible version and both work together really well. In fact JK's version is so good I am thinking about dropping DOW and using the full version of JK. In fact I will just to try it out. I didn't notice any problems with REGS at all.
