Interesting NPCs

It adds a bunch of new characters with full voice dialogue to the game and a couple of quests.

I like the look of this one and its getting a lot of compliments on the writing and voice acting. Anyone tried it yet?

I've tried it, but only very briefly. It is definitely well written, the characters they added have real depth to the dialogue. Only about half the NPCs they added have voice acting so far though, but the voice acting they have is high quality. I haven't tried (or found) the quests however so can't comment on that part at all.

I use this mod + Skyrim Immersion Mod + Occupy Skyrim + Populated cities.

Too bad I have problems with WARZONES Civil Unrest crashing in some places in the world map.

Great mod, I have been using it since version 1.3, and have interacted with some of the NPCs that have been fully voiced, and other that only have subtitles atm. So far some of the conversations have been pretty funny, and fit perfectly with the lore and setting. Even though these NPCs are not quest essential, and neither give quests, the voiced conversations are well done and quite long in some cases. A good example is a new NPC in Riverwood. I cant remember his name, and am unable to check at the moment, but i do remember going through all the dialogue options which took about 5 minutes. Very long for a non essential NPC! It was also fun to speak with him, so its not time wasted. This mod is perhaps not base STEP worthy because it is content based by adding NPCs, but i would fully recommend that it be included in any addon packs that may be released in the future.

The next update should be clean of any UDRs. Didn't take long to convince kristakahashi to do something about bad edits. :)

With 98 NPCs, 72 of which are fully voiced with some others in the works, I think this could be one of the core additions to the future lore-friendly RP pack.

I would really like to use this mod with STEP' date=' but from this thread: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=950, it looks like Interesting NPCs is a 'do-not-use' mod. Has anyone tested this?[/quote']

Taken from frihyland from another thread:

Interesting NPCs (3DNPC)

UDR's are all fixed' date=' still a number of dialogue errors and a few other random errors, still in the do not use category based on number of errors. I doubt it will cause any ctd's at this point, likely just some of the mod won't work as intended.[/quote']

Yeah, the author even got around the vanilla bug that messes up NPC dialogue in the latest update.

The NPCs added are so subtle and lore-friendly, the only way I know they're not vanilla is because it's not one of the 5 re-used voice actors.

Haha, good point. Too many of the VA's are meh. Though I kinda iron it out by saying, "Well, at least there's difference. And it's not like everyone in real life has a great voice."

There's one character I wanted to rip to pieces, though. Good bits of lore in the dialogue, but holy crap they tried too hard and succeeded in making the voice actor sound like a petulant man child thing.

I mostly use Interesting NPCs as a way to sort of pad out the world a little bit, as other multiple-NPC-adding mods kinda go way overboard.

I plan to test this mod in near future, I will report when I'm done. Might be up to a week time though, depending on how busy I will be with other stuff and new mods prioritisation.
