DynDOLOD.DLL NG EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in CrashLoggerSSE

Question

Posted

Hello,

I was playing for a while and fast traveled out of Whiterun to Tundra Homestead where the game loaded but crashed a second later.

CrashLoggerSSE pointed to DynDOLOD.DLL NG. Logs are through the link: https://mega.nz/folder/1eUBBZbB#vbDIa5Muiyp5TOrZFigjhg

DynDOLOD Resources SE 3 Alpha-57 is installed. DLL NG Alpha-39.

Rare crash that only happened once after I guess fifty hours of play time with no other LOD problems.

I am assuming this might be hard to replicate. It appears it ran out of resources because of starting too many threads trying to update too many things at the same time. If you can repeat it with some regularity, use the test versions instead https://mega.nz/file/oZpSjYCD#G0x8e2t1QRKkYftfT5Ut6arTLv1MiHMMTfRguX3P074 to see and report if it makes a difference.

Sorry to butt in, but I've been having the same issue. Mine doesn't usually happen on fast travel but will randomly happen after playing for usually ~15-20 minutes or so. I'll have some time to try the test versions later next week to see if it makes a difference. Any need to regen anything, or just swap the DLL?

Always provide logs. "Me too" posts without required logs and information might be ignored or removed.

Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which DynDOLOD log and debug log to upload in addition to the crash log so we can make sure the crash is the same.

https://dyndolod.info/Help/DynDOLOD-DLL#Updating
Note the minimum supported version of the DynDOLOD Standalone mentioned on the Nexus download page or the Large Reference Bugs Workarounds for DynDOLOD DLL NG. Existing output generated with a supported version can be used as is.

See https://dyndolod.info/Help/Large-Reference-Bugs-Workarounds#Requirements
If the output was generated with DynDOLOD Alpha-193 or newer, just replace the existing DLL.
