Question

Posted

Figured it might not be a bad idea to just start a general SR support thread for help since the feedback thread is focused on actual SR feedback. I'll start this off.

So was playing earlier today, then went and made today's latest changes:

- Updated Lanterns of Skyrim to use Realistic Lighting Overhaul optional preset.

- Added SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators. Removed More Village Animals and Roosters At Dawn

- Updated Apahii Skyhair Natural Retexture.

I also added Grass on Steroids and it's associated INI changes.

I now CTD every time on the menu load. I reversed the INI changes, unloaded SkyTest and Grass on Steroids and still CTD.

What would be the first steps I should in debugging this?

Thanks!

Best part - it only works as standalone' date=' sum still fails.[/quote']

SUM always fails on me also usually because I use Cannabis Skyrim (come on even the Hobbits smoked) and it complains about missing Masters and tells me to active it even though it is activated. I have found this works all the time. If using MO delete ALL files and folders in your overwrite folder except for "SR Conflict Resolution Patch" (assuming you created one). Then run BOSS, GenerateFNISforUsers, Wrye BASH, and SUM in that order. Fire up Tes5Edit, right click on SUM.esp and select "Sort Masters". Works every time for me at least.

Hi, I've followed the guide from SR:LE and I'm getting a CTD. I'm at the part where I'm doing in-game configuration and during the configuration of Frostfall I can enable the mod itself just fine, but as soon as I enable Hardcore and the mod tries to start up W.E.A.R., I always CTD.

Hello everyone,

First i have to thank Neovalen for his awesome guide. I've learned so much from this one guide. Followed every single step and my game looks and runs great!

I have to admit something still puzzles me and i would like to know if i set it up properly.

In section 3.7.1 unreal Cinema ENB, under [iMAGEBASELIGHTING] you say to double all the values contained within.

Before configuring they look like this:

[iMAGEBASEDLIGHTING]

AdditiveAmountDay=0.0

AdditiveAmountNight=0.0

AdditiveAmountSunrise=0.0

AdditiveAmountSunset=0.0

AdditiveAmountInteriorDay=0.0

AdditiveAmountInteriorNight=0.0

MultiplicativeAmountDay=0.05

MultiplicativeAmountNight=0.05

MultiplicativeAmountSunrise=0.05

MultiplicativeAmountSunset=0.05

MultiplicativeAmountInteriorDay=0.05

MultiplicativeAmountInteriorNight=0.05

ReflectiveAmountDay=0.1

ReflectiveAmountNight=0.1

ReflectiveAmountSunrise=0.1

ReflectiveAmountSunset=0.1

ReflectiveAmountInteriorDay=0.1

ReflectiveAmountInteriorNight=0.1

After I make the changes, they look like this:

[iMAGEBASEDLIGHTING]

AdditiveAmountDay=0.1

AdditiveAmountNight=0.1

AdditiveAmountSunrise=0.1

AdditiveAmountSunset=0.1

AdditiveAmountInteriorDay=0.1

AdditiveAmountInteriorNight=0.1

MultiplicativeAmountDay=0.10

MultiplicativeAmountNight=0.10

MultiplicativeAmountSunrise=0.10

MultiplicativeAmountSunset=0.10

MultiplicativeAmountInteriorDay=0.10

MultiplicativeAmountInteriorNight=0.10

ReflectiveAmountDay=0.2

ReflectiveAmountNight=0.2

ReflectiveAmountSunrise=0.2

ReflectiveAmountSunset=0.2

ReflectiveAmountInteriorDay=0.2

ReflectiveAmountInteriorNight=0.2

Did I set up this part properly?

edit: nm I found the problem, I overinstalled a mod.

quick question, Is it normal for SUM to ask me to locate Boss.exe manually?  This seems odd, i'm running it from the /mod folder directly in MO.

IMHO the best way is to disable BOSSing in SUM, just do it manually, I hate additional waithing when I know I have't touched the load order. Also, it is normal.

Great thanks.

One other quick question as im starting on SR conflict resolution.esp (srcr).

Suppose that at some point a mod is removed from SR:LE.  The srcr patch is going to have a missing master at that point  How does one proceed with editing the patch at that point, since it won't even load up in Tes5edit?

I am aware of some Unofficial Skyrim Patch changes which affect the Book Covers Skyrim mod - I will be releasing an update to reflect the changes shortly.

EDIT : I have just had a look at these changes and they are very minor. Beggar Prince has the word "a" removed and the Thalmor Execution Note has one word capiltalised. Rather than releasing a hotfix at the moment I will make the changes to my master copy and hold them until the next full release of Book Covers Skyrim is ready which should not be too long.

Does doubling those values really make that big a difference, Neo?

Maybe, maybe not but those were Boris instruction when updating enb binary versions past 0.246.

Book Covers Skyrim is now compliant with the latest Unofficial Patch downloads. The main changes were Assassin's Writ (DG) to stop a script triggering and some spelling corrections to Beggar Prince and the Thalmor Execution Order.

Looks like this is a incompatibility between ENB and Crossfire and NOT Skyrim and Crossfire.   When I disable ENB and enable Crossfire everything is just fine.  Just heavy on the GPU load.

I saw this in another thread:

"Should be noted that borderless window does not let you use SLI/Crossfire. I remember it took me a while to figure that out last time, ha. "

Try without borderless window if you have it. Worth a shot. :)

I have a Crossfire setup and do not use a borderless window mod, but when I read this I tried disabling the borderless settings in enblocal.ini and got 5 to 10 FPS back. Only using ENBoost as I'm only at 2.G of the 2.2.8 Guide.

Thank you very much.

Hi so i've installed SR:LE no problem.  Everything works great and is very stable.

I do have an issue with Unreal ENB.  It seems like there is some flickering when I have it installed (very rapid flickering but there all the same, even when motionless and staring at the wall.  I thought it might be vsync related but i've played with all the settings in both Nvidia inspector, in the skyrimpref.ini files as well as in the enblocal file.

Currently i'm following SR:LE guide to the letter as well as the Nvidia guide.  The only thing I can think off is that the newest Nvidia driver (334.89) is causing a problem?

Perhaps its something else related to shadows.  Either way its only there when I enable the ENB.

One other bug (probably a mistake somewhere in SR conflict on my behalf).  I noticed that when I attack a prisoner convoy of imperials, that the prisoner attacks me as well.
