DoubleYou Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Discussion topic: Fallout 4 High Quality Audio by tronotized Wiki Link I'm tracking this one for now. The author notes that it needs polish, and it sounds like the archives may be compressed (should be uncompressed for sounds).
DoubleYou Posted April 23, 2023 Author Posted April 23, 2023 I did a check over the files, and we should be able to package this to replace the base game voice ba2 files so as to not waste any ba2 slots, and also fix the fact that the sounds are in compressed archives. Well, scratch that. That just causes CTD
DoubleYou Posted May 6, 2023 Author Posted May 6, 2023 Marked for Testing. The update looks like it is fixing the issues it had upon release. The author indicates that there is no improvement using the Base Game files, so we won't use them. I am simply renaming the DLC BA2 archives to their vanilla equivalents and removing the plugins. So far no issues using this method, and no additional ba2 archives. Should keep this active for several hours of gameplay to ensure no crashes and no missing voices before accepting. Initial testing shows everything is working fine.
DoubleYou Posted June 3, 2023 Author Posted June 3, 2023 Completed Nuka World DLC without any dialogue being missing, so this should be fine now. Added detailed installation notes to the wiki page. I will wait until having finished Automatron at least to accept this.
