Kind of like FIZZLE, but with speechcraft. This mod spices up the persuasion mechanic a little and makes it less predictable by fuzzing the skill requirement check. Instead of the game checking the player's skill against a fixed value, it checks against a randomly generated value within a certain range corresponding to the speechcraft check's difficulty.

It can work both ways: it can make a persuasion check easier or harder (within limits) than it would have been in vanilla.

Having the Persuasion perk lowers the [min,max] of the range, to make the check easier to pass, but not always easier than vanilla.

This mod randomizes the required speechcraft level checks in dialogues. In Vanilla, this was a fixed value, but using these tweaks the levels are as following:

Very Easy: Vanilla 10 -> Random number between 0-25
Easy: Vanilla: 25 -> Random number between 20-45
Average: Vanilla 50 -> Random number between 40-70
Hard: Vanilla 75 -> Random number between 65-95
Very Hard: Vanilla 100 -> Random number between 90-145

When you have the "Persuasion" perk the result of any of these values will be multiplied by 0.7.

Notes:

  • Replaces some vanilla persuasion-check scripts and incorporates USSEP fixes for those scripts.
  • Does not affect the Amulet of Articulation.
