TechAngel85 Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Discussion topic:Thistle by Mari SE by ArtByMariWiki LinkSTEP SE Notes:Test Files: Use whatever the resolutions of the current STEP SE textures.Test against current STEP SE. Vanilla > SSEUT > Cathedral Landscapes > Hybrid's (current STEP) > Mari's
Eliian Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 (edited) Here are some comparison shots. 1024 for the mentioned mod matching the STEP textures used (Hybrids Plants and Herbs) I agree that current STEP looks dull in comparison.https://imgur.com/a/V6POScf Edited August 12, 2020 by Eliian
TechAngel85 Posted August 15, 2020 Author Posted August 15, 2020 Added compares to OP.Personally, I still prefer STEP here. CL is a bit comical and Mari's is drowned in shadowing.
Greg Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Added compares to OP. Personally, I still prefer STEP here. CL is a bit comical and Mari's is drowned in shadowing.Agreed that STEP is the better choice of the three.
z929669 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I think Hybrids is best. CL looks pale and out of place with surroundings. Mari's is good, but too dark.
TechAngel85 Posted August 16, 2020 Author Posted August 16, 2020 Added vanilla and SSEUT to the OP compares.
Greg Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I think this reinforces Hybrid's (current STEP) as the better choice here.
Mercury71 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Hybrid's loos the best i think (actually really like vanilla to).
z929669 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Hybrid's loos the best i think (actually really like vanilla to).Hybrids is true to vanilla and looks to be using the vanilla texture for the entire plant but for the flowers/receptacle and the buds. I actually like the vanilla flowers/receptacles best, but Hybrids adds a bit of variation to the little buds. If vanilla SE plants all look as good or better than Hybrid's variants, then I question using that mod as well. I vote not to use Mari's thistle.
