sheson Posted May 1, 2019 Author Posted May 1, 2019 (edited) I get errors when building lod with dyndolod64.exe, using latest version 2.60 SSE. Logfiles: http://www.mediafire.com/file/tsunckd5rafeobd/Logs.rar/file edit: It says Error reading meshes\terrain\Tamriel\Tamriel.4.4.-12.btr from BSA/BA2 The lz4 assembly requires the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 runtime installedlz4.AnyCPU.loader Am I missing VS 2015 runtime?? I have them though.. Edit again: Ok, I read the OP again and grabbed the VS17 runtime from the link. Somehow that version wasn't installed, and I try it again now. But before 2.60 it built fine, and I didn't changed anything.. Is that requirement new? Cannot find it in the changelog. Good you solved it , but since you asked :) That requirement exists since Skyrim SE / LZ4 support was added to LODGen.exe 2 and half years ago and then DynDOLOD 2.22. The LODGen.exe/LODGenx64.exe in 2.60 is the same as in 2.59. Edited May 1, 2019 by sheson
DarthVitrial Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Got an exception when running the new beta.I did recently remove Enhanced Vanilla Trees and install Simply Bigger Trees (along with the Skyrim is Windy) patch, is it possible something about that caused the crash? The error does seem to be caused by a missing tree, but I thought I did uninstall EVT properly... Does it work when you generate DLC01SoulCairnby itself? Use the legal version of the game.

Elzee Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 The log is saved to file when closing the program. Otherwise copy and paste the entire message window. This might happen because something is preventing read/write access. From the DynDOLOD Standalone archive copy the content of the 'DynDOLOD' folder, which contains the files DynDOLOD.exe, TexGen.exe, DynDOLOD_QuickStart.html and the sub folders 'Docs' and 'Edit Scripts' with all their content into a new 'DynDOLOD' folder outside of special OS folders like 'Programs Files' or 'Program Files (x86)', the SteamApps or game folders and Mod Organizers virtual file structure. Do not mix with old versions or xEdit installation. It dosn't work... Even with ver 2.60.
sheson Posted May 2, 2019 Author Posted May 2, 2019 It dosn't work... Even with ver 2.60.If OS, antivir etc prevent read/write access the version of DynDOLOD doesn't matter. Though I wonder if the error message is different.

sheson Posted May 2, 2019 Author Posted May 2, 2019 (edited) Here is a video:Can't get the log file because the program can't exit normally.Sometimes the program crashes directly.Troubleshoot and fix the OS, antivir etc preventing read/write access. The native language message after EFCreateError: "Can not create file..." probably has the reason/answer. It is possible to copy and paste all log messages from the message window in case saving to txt does not work. Edited May 2, 2019 by sheson

That includes the User or Desktop folders. There was no DynDOLOD_SSE.txt or log in the logs folder. I guess that was because I couldn't close the application automatically and had to resort to task manager. Anyway, this error was probably due to me as a user running DynDOLOD from the Desktop. I'll try running it again using the latest 2.61 version from a different location this time.
