Sqepticism Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 (edited) There aren't any errors in the log other than the no options files found ones which from what I understand aren't an issue. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HsRAQCkApnSCHeZ439LQ3r5ei0OfSBJ3/view?usp=sharing If someone is interested in trying to generate LOD with the textures (just removes branches from the d/n/s of the tree textures), this a packed version. Shows up no issue in game, but the LODGEN doesn't seem to care, my game install is clean Edited September 7, 2020 by Sqepticism

The tree LOD models use LOD textures that need to be updated separately.

I am not sure how to even locate the files EDIT: The LOD d/n/s/ files in Textures6.ba2? Edited September 7, 2020 by Sqepticism

For example 00038599 uses Meshes\LOD\Landscape\Trees\Maple\TreeBlasted01_LOD_0.nif Enter the filename TreeBlasted01_LOD_0.nif into the filter field of the xEdit Asset Browser (started with CTRL+F3) and highlight the result. The bottom window will show the used textures etc.
Mitradis Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 (edited) I just noticed today: generated without alpha blocks.https://i5.imageban.ru/out/2020/09/08/f594b98959649ad625504d451875c631.jpg Edited September 8, 2020 by Mitradis

Mitradis Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 sarcasm? I ask you not to joke. And how this fix?
sheson Posted September 8, 2020 Author Posted September 8, 2020 sarcasm? I ask you not to joke. And how this fix?I am just stating the fact that when I looked at Skyrim vanilla *.BTO many years ago, I too noticed that they do not contain or support NiAlphaProperties. Since NiAlphaProperties do not exist in object LOD generated by Skyrim CK and also do not affect alpha of object LOD in the Skyrim game, they are not added by LODGen either.
Mitradis Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 wow. it really is and it is very strange. sory.
raid87 Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 So I've used dyndolod before and I've been using that to create LODs and **** for trees and buildings and **** but I've had issues with the landscape LOD not matching so I've now started using xLodgen along dyndolod to help me with that. However, with xlodgen, the landscape LODs end up actually worse than without it. Certain distances are too dark while some are too bright, and the terrain and color sometimes don't even match. I've used Perfect Terrain LOD which matched the LODs of the Tamriel worldspace pretty well and was generated using xLodGen, but I have mods like Wyrmstooth and falskaar that add other worldspaces that I would like to have matching as well. So I'm not sure what materials are needed to properly generate landscape LODs or if there is some sort of texture conflict. I don't have any BSAs or anything so there aren't any landscape mods overwriting my main one.

There can be no texture conflict, unless the full landscape textures changed after generating LOD. As the first post explains, in Skyrim the vanilla noise.dds texture compensates for vanilla terrain LOD textures with wrong intensities. Create or find a better noise.dds texture, disable the "improved" snow shader.

Zadien Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 (edited) As of the time of this post, I'm unable to access the download for SSE-Terrain-Tamriel.esm. I'll be checking again in the morning. I'm not sure if it's just mega.nz being down or not, but I thought I'd comment in case it's a different issue. edit: Still can't access it. Anyone have a different source? Works fine for me. Maybe disable VPN if you are using one.

I guess my ISP has mega blocked. Very weird. Thanks for letting me know the issue was on my end. I would not have thought so.
