Barachiel Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) How'd you do that, if you don't mind my asking? My desktop is at 4K, with 200% scaling increase via Windows 10, with certain apps set to let the Application Control Scaling in the Compatibility tab. I run *most* games at 4K, and a fully modded Skyrim SE (TUCOGUIDE modlist + Enaison's Amazing Mods + Morrowloot Ultimate + Legacy of the Dragonborn SE) actually runs fairly smoothly, but I'm not using an ENB. GTA V, Witcher 3, and Fallout 4 are the big ones that take a performance hit at 4K. I'm only running a 1070 GTX with 8GB of VRAM. It didn't occur to me to check to be sure that was a powerful enough card for 4K gaming. It is, but barely. Edited October 23, 2017 by Barachiel
Gernash Posted October 23, 2017 Author Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) 2k with Upscaling is where it's at for a 1070 if you don't have a 2048x"something" resolution in your display setting you can create a resolution in the Nvidia control panel under change resolution.Unfortunately you will have to disable DSR the TV has a mode in it for gaming somewhere, look up the manual, also make sure it's firmware is up to date. Once you drop down the res the TV will SCALE everything and increase your FPS dramatically. Edited October 23, 2017 by Gernash
Barachiel Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 I don't have a TV (well, I *do*, but its a standard 1080p TV), I just use the LG 27" UHQ 4K monitor for my PC. I don't actually *have* the Nvidia Control Panel anymore. Somewhere along the way, a driver update removed it, and no matter how I reset or reinstall said drivers, it never comes back. It's all Geforce Experience, now.
Gernash Posted October 23, 2017 Author Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) Right click desktop Nvidia control panelor IF Windows 10type nvidia Control Panel into Cortana Or say "Cortana" "nvidia Control Panel" "Please"if mic activeNo I don't use Cortana I use https://www.classicshell.net/ Edited October 23, 2017 by Gernash
Barachiel Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) ... ...... ......... *TWOFISTEDFACEPALM* How in the name of Zeus' *BUTTHOLE*, did I not see that? (right-click desktop) Using Cortana never brings it up. Don't know why. BTW, I dont' normally bring up Beth.net mods, but one of my favorite Youtubers (CordlessVII) keeps using it in his builds. Figured I'd toss it up for consideration. It even works on PS4, so it can't be *too* invasive. https://bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/4022635 Edited October 23, 2017 by Barachiel
Gernash Posted October 23, 2017 Author Posted October 23, 2017 If you MUST use Beth mods install them copy out of the folder make a zip then copy into MO2 Downloads folder and install from there. You WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!100% have issues if you mix and mash mods from beth and MO2 also https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18176/?
Barachiel Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) Oh, I know. I remember having to do that with Steam Workshop for classic Skyrim. That's a different mod. USO actually adds in objects that can't normally be built. The one you linked just removes requirements. Edited October 23, 2017 by Barachiel
Barachiel Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 The author provides an indepth FAQ on all his mods, and his section on USO was very enlightening. I won't be using it, but only because it's designed primarily for PS4 and thus lacks certain things like snap points (thats considered "external resources" by Sony) and the way his menu system has to get around Sony's limitations. Shame. I liked some of the sets it added. Oh well.

(There are some naming conventions) DEF_INV_TABS.xml makes no sense to me, it's as if something has changed internally to DEFUI and it has not been altered to reflect it or I miss the point of what it's for.

rayhne Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 @rayhne That's you doing the Radrose continuance? You can chat/brainstorm here https://discord.gg/C8UdSHYYep, that’s me (I really have to stop volunteering for things). Thanks for the link. I was just wondering why the mask doesn’t match the flag.
rayhne Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Right now I’m wondering how hard it would be to add more icons ...........
