  1. Hi, for the first time in, well, forever I am getting a CTD related to DynDOLOD. I have just completed another overhaul to my load order and run dyndolod again without any changes to settings from those I've always used. However now every time I try to start a game (new games, no saves) as soon as I click New Game > Yes in main menu I crash to desktop. No crash fixes message. If I disable dyndolod.esp I can start a new game without any issue. I have checked everything in dyndolod.esp thoroughly in xEdit, there are no errors and I can't see any issues. There were no messages in the dyndolod log indicating any errors. It doesn't appear to be anything memory related, monitoring with SPM doesn't show any spike in CPU or GPU usage prior to the crash. I have tried rerunning DynDOLOD several times leaving different combinations of final patches/CR disabled each time in case it was something I'd screwed up there but makes no difference. I am running Holds The City Overhaul but as per their OP am leaving the patches disabled while running DynDOLOD (I have tried with and without, makes no difference). I am also running Paper World Map, but again makes no difference if it is enabled or disabled when running DynDOLOD. Holds and PWM are new additions so may be something there but I can't see what. I've spent two days already on this, where should I be looking?
  2. It might be worth you trying SwiftShader - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78909/? - alongside ENBoost. Basically offloads certain 3D tasks to CPU on systems with weaker GPUs. MIght be just what you need, certainly worth a try. Also a couple of other things you could try - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78909/? and https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55240/?
  3. Early game advice - set Skyrim on wus mode, tweak Wildcat settings (damage taken/dealt), turn off/down stagger, get a follower as soon as you can, run away a lot, tgm :P First few level ups and such are needed before you don't keep getting your ass handed to you by every skeever you meet.
  4. I've had simply knock in my gameplay merge forever and it works just fine. I did however make a point of having it load first in the merge so no renumbering took place. Don't know if that helps or not.
  5. Might be a stupid question but how are you actually launching the game? From MO you should be clicking on SKSE to launch the game.
  6. I'm using Dawn of Skyrim All Major Cities (not the Director's Cut, incompatible with ICAIO). I'm also using Solitude Expansion and Solitude Reborn with the compatibility patch, so the DoS version I'm using is the one which is compatible with Solitude Reborn. I'm also using Books of Skyrim, Better City Entrances (modular, all but Solitude, merged) and Better Docks (modular, all but Solitude, merged). And I've just thrown in Better Towns Textures for a bit of differentiation on the larger towns without any compatibility issues. NB - Solitude Expansion is NOT compatible with Solitude Skyway. I'm also using aMidianBorn Whiterun texture pack for Whiterun.
  7. Basically you just want to adjust them up/down until the higher of the two stays between 85-95%. Lower values are not good because as Meh says, empty memory is wasted memory. For me, on my massive load order with mostly 2k and a lot of additional gameplay mods I'm at 150. Don't be worried about high values, just get it right for your system. I actually found that using AlignHeapAllocate=1 caused bottlenecks for me and leaving it as 0 seems to be more stable. Like I said, every setup is different.
  8. No need to apologise Hodegar, we all need help sometimes! It's always good to hear when someone manages to sort out their issues.
  9. Couldn't agree more JD, if benefit !> effort end else do it
  10. Is anyone here running Another Sorting Mod 2016? I'm just wondering if it's worth installing, and whether the 9 patches I'd need are safe to merge?
  11. Why does every patch on the Nexus SRLE LotD patches page say it requires Deadly Dragons and Diverse Dragons...
  12. Thanks. Not using Bathing in Skyrim but had forgotten about the 3DNPC and IC patches. From memory the one (or maybe two?) of the patches aren't mergable - IC one possibly. Was there not a CRF one somewhere too or am I thinking about something else?
  13. What about the issues in Dead Man's Drink concerning the carriage for Moonpath to Elseweyr covered by THIS patch (which obviously we can't use because it's now part of LotD? Or has LotD changed how MtE starts? NVM - Just found the answer in the LotD description: So just RRR Enhanced, plus the ELFX and NSUtR patches if I want to switch to the Enhanced version?
  14. Follow these instructions - https://forum.step-project.com/topic/11123-tracking-down-missing-textures/?p=177237 That will help you find exactly which texture in which pack is causing this.
  15. Masterful understatement JD ;)
  16. So does no reply to this in 24 hours mean no one is using it for some reason?
  17. OK, never used it before but thinking of giving it a try as 43 out of the 47 weapons/armies/equipment mods I have in my weapons and armors merge do not add their items to the leveled lists. I am running a very extended version of SRLE LotD with a custom CR patch. My question is do I need a merge patch as the lootification OP states? Also, what do I leave active in terms of bashes patch, DynDOLOD, AV, ASIS, Grimy, DSR when running it?
  18. You could still get it to work even if folder is renamed by including a placeholder file with a specific name so ReLinker knows whatever the folder name if it contains that file this is the folder to delete...
  19. I agree with all of the above (have them all in my load order already) with the exception of the Inns and Shops Signs. IMO these are far better (mix and match as you like): Beautiful Honey Signs SkyFix Unique Inn Signs SkyFix HD Blacksmith Signs
  20. Don't know what Paul is planning but I am using Dawn of Skyrim All Major Cities (Solitude Reborn version, NOT the Directors Cut), Solitude Reborn, Solitude Expansion, Books of Skyrim, Better City Entrances (modular, all except Solitude, merged) and Better Docks (modular, all except Solitude, merged) and I have to say I'm pretty happy. Solitude is amazing now and no issues with LotD, docks area in particular is superb. No ICAIO/3DNPC issues that I've noticed. I'd love to use Falkreath modular from Holds and Skyrim Radioactive interiors but ICAIO...
  21. Presumably only if you don't rename the original output mod?
  22. OK, redownloaded and reinstalled everything to do with DDL (tool, resources, patches), deleted my ini files and recreated them from vanilla then BethINI. All is good now. However how do I change the distance at which buildings load in because I am still seeing the odd floating roof or window, etc and I also seem to get fairly close before the true textures take over from the LODs, resulting in quite a bit of texture popping?
  23. So I'm having some really weird issues since updating to 2.18. For starters and most significantly my LOD textures aren't unloading. When I load into a game, or fast travel to a new location everything is good, but as soon as I travel far enough to leave the initial cell I am encountering LOD textures, low res LOD trees, floating LOD roads (above the actual roads) and so on. I mean the trees I can walk up to and touch are LOD trees, not what I'm seeing in the distance. I am also now getting bad glow from light sources, and from outside Whiterun when I look up I have the Dragonsreach windows but no Dragonsreach! I have tried re-running DynDOLOD three times and I am getting the same result every time. Any suggestions what I might be doing wrong?
  24. Are you using the latest version of ReLinker. This only works correctly from v22 onwards. I'd suggest downloading it again. And can you confirm that you are following the instructions correctly for the trees merge in the first place - merging esps only, leaving the original mods active with esps removed/moved to optional?
  25. No drawback at all, just time consuming And yes sorry Ganda, auto correction thinks you should be elevated to country status So yeah, use Spluff to extract the virtual meshes folder and run NifHealer on everything in it, then you can either drop any fixed nifs back into the original mods or create a new overwrite mod. Obviously with the latter you'd need to preserve the folder structure for them to be correctly applied.
