SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
dunc001 replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
The issue is when you try to enter any exterior worldspace. I had a similar if not identical issue many moons ago. Installing all of the ENB files, and not just the ENBoost ones resolved the issue for me. So either install a full ENB of your choice, or install all of the original .308 ENB files. You can always Shift+F12 from main menu to turn off ENB before you enter the game if you don't want any of the effects. -

When the game is running, before it crashes, what values are you seeing in the memory blocks when you bring up console (~). With AlignHeapllocate=0 there should be four (or six, can't recall) blocks, with =1 there will be only two. If any of the values are above 95% then you still need to increase your custom block size (mine needed to be as high as 160 at one point). And set ReservedMemorySizeMb=256 as per the guide. The info out of Crash Fixes crashlog is of no use unless you have Meh's level of knowledge, so forget it. You need to narrow this down methodically now. -

You don't mention anything about actually adjusting the custom memory block size - have you actually done this as the default value will cause this for sure on this guide. If not then set it to around 130 and adjust up/down using the values you should see when opening console in game. -

Are you sure you've got the latest ENB files installed? Are you using an ENB or just the base files for ENBoost? Have you added/removed anything from the guide? Can you start an unmodified new game through the Steam launcher and enter the Keep? Can you do the same thing on an unmodified vanilla profile through MO? Both of these with ENBoost/ENB still active? -
Custom AT-Quickchange Script?
dunc001 replied to johnnywatts's question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
So to make use of the example script above c/p into a new script in xEdit, highlight the target records to be restored into (select all NPC records in plugin to be changed for example), Apply Script, select Restore script (or whatever you named it) - will it then give a popup asking which plugin you want to restore values from? I love that you took that much time to explain the script rather than just throwing the unannotated one in, kudos for that #knowledgeispower :D Also, when using the original QuickChange script does putting "" around the element name force deepcopy on that element? I've found that to get all the subs in an element to restore correctly I need to do that, whereas single field elements (eg Male Height, etc) do not require that syntax. Also for those that don't know you can Restore a single sub within an element by simply describing the path <Element>/. -

It'd be like three lines of code if you know what you're doing... -
Why do NPCs not give a sh*t that I'm stealing everything?
dunc001 replied to dunc001's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Thanks Tech, I left that setting out as I figured Stealth Skills Rebalanced would be taking care of it. What is the game setting name changed by the BP setting? I can run w console command to check what it actually is then. I went through all settings in my full load order in xEdit but I couldn't see anything which jumped out as odd. -

How do I check game settings like that in game through console commands? -

dunc001 replied to dunc001's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yeah I've actually just been checking again. The only thing Ordinator is overwriting is two game settings which are nothing to do with detection radius or fov, and the perk trees. I'm using the no perks version of SSR (so slightly puzzled why the trees are there at all) and the no gameplay tweaks version of Ordinator. I'm just about to go through the game settings list from Skyrim.esm with my full load order and see if anything else is editing any relevant settings not touched by SSR. I just tried in Angeline's Aromatics and each time I stole something, as long as I wasn't sneaking, the women commented and bounty added message showed. After stealing about five things the young one actually attacked me, so I ran her through. Then the old one just stood on top of her body at the counter! When I walked outside even having just killed someone and with a 1200 bounty the guards didn't apprehend me. So I walked into the Solitude blacksmiths, no one at the counter, opened a display case, stole an enchanted sword, went into the courtyard and still noone questioned me. So I killed them all. -

Ah OK, well I am running 16Gb of RAM so there is a difference. And uninstall MSI Afterburner. Anything which uses an overlay will be affecting your performance to a greater or lesser degree. -

I've been wondering that for eight months now... -
Why do NPCs not give a sh*t that I'm stealing everything?
dunc001 posted a question in General Skyrim LE Support
So there is something decidedly wrong with stealing in my game. I seem to be able to go into pretty much any interior (home/shop/Blue Palace) and completely clean it out without anyone seeming to give a toss. There's either no-one around (they're all off elsewhere doing something else, sleeping, etc) or the ones that are there don't seem to have any detection. I thought it was just because I was a sneaky ninja f*cker but then I tried stealing from right under their noses and they still didn't grumble. This is on a Level 0 new start, no skill points, no uber enchanted plimsoles of pilfering. I have Stealth Skills Rebalanced (non perk version as I'm using Ordinator no gameplay tweaks version) installed and other than Ordinator overwriting a few values nothing else is affecting the gameplay tweaks. I have Better Stealing installed, and BlockSteal which is working on certain items (have to double or triple click them to steal). I have SkyTweak installed but haven't touched any of the Stealth settings in there. So I'm at a bit of a loss and it's beginning to piss me off. It was fun at first clearing out every single item in the blacksmith and alchemist in Morthal, but after the twentieth heist I'm getting pretty bored and end up hitting NPCs just to get a rise out of them. Any suggestions as to where I should be checking? -

Have you followed the ENB ini settings correctly and set it to autodetect? If so when you launch Skyrim keep an eye on the text which appears in the top left of the screen as ENB initialises and note the 'Available Texture Memory' value at the bottom of the text block. It should be around 11.3Gb as you have an almost identical setup to me. If that's not the case then start looking there. If it does match then next step is checking your Crash Fixes values. I personally set AlignHeapAllocate to 0, and then tweak the custom block size. To check you need to go in game and head to somewhere with plenty going on, then bring up the console with the ~ key. If you have everything set up right you should see a list of block % values on the right side. You are looking for the bigger of these numbers to be averaging around 90% (85-95 is OK, but lower values mean your blocks are too big and memory is being wasted). Start with a block size of around 120 and go from there. I think mine is around 148 from memory. -

You know me G, reckless to the core ;) OK, so forward all conflicted records into a new patch esp first, CTRL+S to save it, then run the quickchange stuff on the new patch (if you want to be 'safe') -

dunc001 replied to Pretendeavor's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Yep well the quickchange script could be used to run all of that in one pass for you. It would basically forward all of those records for all of the NPCs in Winsong so they'd gain all of the USSEP values. You'd then need to just save it, and go back over and reinstate any values you didn't want changed from things like ESF Companions, PHA, IW and so on. Much quicker way of doing it than one record at a time. -

Dude, your rig is stronger than mine (i5-4440 @ 3.3, GTX970 4gb, 16gb RAM, 250SSDx2) and I am running close on 600 plugins, nearly 1000 mods (984 actually) in my left pane, mostly 2k and 2k 1k, Holds Complete, around 60 other locations mods all merged, and it generally runs sweet at 45-55FPS with latency at 0.045-0.08 which is acceptable. I have enb set to autodetectmemory, and crash fixes custom memory blocks set to 160 at present although I could get away with dropping it slightly. So there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't be able to run this guide. It's going to be something simple. Have you tested your RAM for issues btw? Edit - Oops, din't read JDs post, beat me to it! -

What are the conflicts Darth? If they're all in similar records we've been using the AT Quickchange script to automate that sort of thing by just restoring the values for several fields at once from USSEP to all records in for example Winsong. You can add several Restore commands using the + button. Let me know if you need help with it. Saves a huge amount of time. -
Weird that the minty script is causing an issue for red though, it's been in one of my merges an ReLinked ever since the beta tests and I've never had an issue with it.

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD 2.21
dunc001 replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Just wanted to say a huge thanks for whatever you did in 2.21 - TexGen has dropped from around 8 minutes to 2m30s, and DynDOLOD has dropped from 47m53s to just 19m17s on all worlds gen. Fantastic given how many times I find myself regening! -

You can't. The Crash Fixes crashlog output does not provide FormIDs, they are memory addresses. There is no way of knowing what it refers to (unless you are Meh). You can try enabling minidumps in your SKSE ini and uploading the dump file to the convertor site, but in my considerable experience trying to decipher crash info in minidumps you have less than a 1% chance of getting anything useful! You can try googling the address and see if the exact same crash has been posted anywhere else, you may just strike lucky and find a reply from Meh. -
