GUIDE W3R: The Wild Hunt Revisited (Witcher 3)
mcshame replied to Neovalen's topic in Unsupported Game Guides
I removed some extra mods, no change. I merges all the Geralt textures and it made no difference. Simply removing that armour fixes the issue. Could you try making it and wearing it and see if it causes you dialogue and fast travel load screen lag. Thx -

You can see it at 25:40 and later the lag is recorded. When I remove the armour, lag is gone... https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=ctGQLBKplOg Sent from my STH100-1 using Tapatalk -

Did I catch your curse? I only just started getting these long load screens during dialogues and for a fast travel. Does it make sense that it could start later? I so don't want to start over again, I hope whatever I need to do will be save compatible. EDIT: Ok, I made a new piece of armour. When I wear it, high load times. Put old piece of armour, normal load times. Ideas? -
Just want to thank you for freshening up this guide. It's in my steam list begging to be played. If the guides are made for ME2 and 3, that would be great. Neo, I just don't understand Origin with all the DLCs. So many version of Mass effect 3, I just ended up buying the trilogy pack, likely still missing DLCs, very frustrating...

What if you set the radius to really small. It's so cool watching it Auto pick up everything! -

Thanks Hazado, I did a bit of troubleshooting this morning and found that it was the Main Menu mod that introduced the large video. When I removed that, all was good. I was still able to keep Killing Monsters from the Various Video Replacement mod, just not the Main Menu video. Will keep your steps in mind for future use as I seem to have an itch to try adding more stuff. Eyeballing the Beatable Guards now... -

Final problem of the night. I finish adding some mods and everything seems to work well however when I reload a game, the progress bar to load doesn't progress. Mods I added were: - Various Video replacements (both main mods) - More transparent menus - Grindstone & workbench Changes - Place of Power Buff Charges Do I need to merge something? Or is it because I need a clean save? First load of game works, it's the reload that doesn't. Even went from a game, to the menu and the reload got infinite load. -

Just to follow-up. The Main Menu having a Night to Remember is great. But, if you do this, you need to fix a selection in the main menu, Mods, Friendly Hud - select Blood & Wine, otherwise you will get the video only if you randomly get the Blood & Wine. I also installed More Transparent Menus to get 50% transparency of the menu on the left to better see the video. -

I'm living dangerously and trying some mods I just LOVE the cinematic trailers of the Witcher. My all time favorite is the Witcher 2 cinematic, just epic. However, Killing Monsters and A Night to Remember are really good as well. I always seek them out on youtube and I thought why not put them in the game. I put in Various Video Replacement Killing Monsters for the opening video that I usually skip and removed the no startup movies mod and just trying out the Main Menu - A Night to Remember for the Main Menu (downloading). I figure I can always skip it...or just watch them in their glory! I did check out main Menu Video Replacement that had a nice splicing of content but the Ciri teleport into the scene turned me off. -

I know this is blasphemy but.... I would really like to install an auto loot mod Remember, I come from the PS4, so these kinda things are like WOW! Which is the one you guys use successfully that won't cause conflict? Is it AutoLoot Configurable All-in-One? And, I may just want to pick up everything? I like having all that junk to break down and every herb in existence. I thought I read somewhere that Ghost can remove the weight restriction, but I can't find the setting? Anyone know? -

Neo, what do you think of PK Cheap's mods? Changes power buffs, armour and weapons to charges instead of duration? https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2212/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fwitcher3%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D2212%26preview%3D&pUp=1 -

Yes, just how they work together. Normally, the interact with fire would always be there. -

I would need to try again to make sure, but this is what I believe I did. Go up to an existing campfire, the one at the start of the game near the trader that is attacked by the Griffin, there is a guard standing next to it. If you try to meditate, I had nothing happen because I didn't have timber and got that message. I them changed my sign to snuff out or light the fire and I would then get the interaction message with the existing fire. Now try to meditate, it should work. I was also getting annoyed that I had the selection to meditate indoors but it always said not here. I figured out this message was likely due to the setting to not allow fires to be built indoors (makes sense!). So I did the same, selected the sign and got the interact message and presto, meditation working. I also changes 2 settings, to leave the campfire after I made it and to store the geographical position. This seemed to work and I was able to reuse and existing campfire I built. I think I like this setting but for immersion, it likely makes sense that it should no longer be used and new material required to make a new one. But I think I know have the hang of the fire part of this mod. Haven't played far yet as I'm still playing with settings...and getting killed by wolves. To hell with this Dark March! -

Figured out how to make fires and meditate properly and using existing campires, had to play with the signs for flame interaction. Ohh, and wolves are killing me alot, like every time...I seriously need to figure out how to fight with a keyboard... Get good FPS with my build, always over 30, mostly over 40 FPS, very happy. Hairworks is on low, but still looks really nice. Even noticed the mane of the horse uses it! -

I rechecked the 3 file cut and paste steps, thought one was weird and redid it. I have the menu fine but it will let me meditate anywhere. Specifically turned off meditation indoors and tried it inside and it let me. I'm beginning to think I should restore all those text files but I don't have the originals :( may have to reinstall the game. I'll try a fresh save to see if that makes a difference. But to be certain, when you select n, it will not let you select the time to meditate and select e to apply it? Geralt will not squat in the meditation position graphically? -

Does the Preparations mod allow you to meditate but restricts the benefits if done in the wrong place? I was able to meditate away from a fire, in town, etc. Not sure if I got the mod working, curious what you're seeing. -

yah, found a reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/witcher/comments/36ja0c/micro_stutters_fix_for_nvidia_cards/ Will try it. It's funny, when you want it to happen and run around trying to make it happen, it won't. It just jumps at you when you least expect it. -

I'm getting this occasional stutter. Running well over 30-40+ FPS but every so often, a stutter and drops to like 9FPS then back up. Happens in dialogue or just walking around. I have a i5-4690K and 4G GTX 960. Using MSI tool, I selected OC instead of Gaming, not sure what the difference is. I made the settings just like the guide however dropped hairworks to Low. I will try using the MSI in gaming instead of OC, perhaps it's a CPU thing. Recommendations? -

I have a 960 GTX 4G and with the recommended settings I'm getting just over 30 FPS and at times high 20 FPS inside the bedroom! Will need to look at the hairworks... I OCed my MSI card and MSI board, drop Hairworks to Low from High and now getting 10 FPS higher, just around 30 - 48. I'll see how it holds up outside. Already told my son a nice 1070 gift for dad would be appreciated one day..tell mom...to bad b-day is in November... -

Hmmm, clear merges...not sure I know how to do that. I'll try to figure it out when I get home. All I did was the new ones (I picked 4 of them) and overwrote the file when prompted
