I am thinking that the boxes can hold instructions for STEP Guide users and the Guide text can then go into as much detail as necessary. This way the boxes can be numbered and easily reference from elsewhere and be place within the respective guide to complement.

It is all a moot point. I lie in wait for the beginning of the end --declining fossil fuels and the decline of multinational corporations. It is only a matter of time, so I truly yearn for global anarchy and the reinvention of Rome from scratch. The military-industrial complex will continue to get bigger and people will become more and more complacent. The end result is collapse, and it is as inevitable as gravity. In the meantime, my goal in life is to have as much fun as possible and keep myself and my own alive and kicking and as happy as possible for as long as possible. CISPA is a mere pittance of a threat, there are much, much more serious things coming over the next 10-20 years.... ... now, back to having fun... it is Saturday after all!

I implemented a list-type sidebar called "Listbox", and it works great for what I have been thinking (look at the second tab), but I have not yet determined how to make links work inside. This somehow breaks the template because of the wiki markup. Any ideas? EDIT: by Farlo on the wiki! EDIT2: Still a problem with the links though .... >:[

One important aspect of your hardware is SLI. I use CrossfireX, so there could be some diffs that I am not aware of, but DoF via ENB does not work for me, so I am wondering if it is plausible that many cannot extrapolate from your setup due to SLI.

I am for adding whatever makes sense as long as we have the necessary quick refs for SG users. I also updated the first tab of the SIG, mostly wording and format changes.

There's no reason to even indirectly ask for it. That has already been covered in the mod description of Beards and Brows that I intend to also do hair textures at one point. I'd like some opinions on whether or not Brows would be a note worthy entry for next version of STEP, and if too late, the one after it. There would be a strong urge to use a solution that combines several related enhancements to a similar standard. If your hair mods are better than the existing (which are really not that good IMO), then I would advocate using all in STEP. Our release schedule is about to ramp up significantly, so new recommendations will hit the guide relatively quickly. EDIT: ENB should not be used for any kind of screenshot compare, but AA and AF are IMPERATIVE and no screenshot should ever be without some form of AA/AF IMO

I suppose that I will have to review the beards/brows mods again myself and post a couple of relevant screens, but I can say that HQ beards/brows are not necessarily better than Beards now, and we will recommend whichever is best in terms of quality and complementarity.

Thanks WI, for updating the guide. I lack the time for this one ATM.

DROPPED Terrain Bump - Texture Pack (by SparrowPrince)
z929669 replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I emphatically agree. Well enough should be left alone, although I can see updates if new outcomes become possible where they weren't previously. Send Farlo or me a PM on the nexus to get you MA nameplate here on these forums. Welcome, SP ;) -
The best ref we have for establishing a vanilla base is the Troubleshooting Guide (which also needs updated but for the first tab). The SIG is looking more manageable. Has anyone checked on how it looks now in the context of the STEP Guide? Meaning that when linked to from the SG, do the links take to to parts of the SIG that align well with the SG section that linked?
-
I always call it HRDLC, but others want to undermine me >:

Discussion thread: Terrain Bump by SparrowPrince Wiki Link Why is this not in STEP?! Vanilla >> Terrain Bump In this set, you get the added bonus of a few (a least 3 affected textures in one shot). Ignore the top half of the screen here. Those objects are random on load. Dropped in 2.2.9.1 due to landscape changes.

As I said in the DDSopt Guide forum, I vote that we simply compartmentalize the big Guides by Tabs rather than separate pages. That way, the most important topics will be among the first tabs, and we can link to these tabs from the SG and elsewhere.
-
A Quick-Start tab for the DDSopt page could work nicely. Compartmentalizing by tabs is the best way to go IMO.

We decided to move this under "Skyrim Related" as a sub forum to keep the top level fit and trim. Still has all the same features as its own complete forum ;) -

Moved this beast to its own forum category. Let's break out the conversations relevant to this topic! -
Yep pretty sure it's the guide. 2.G. Landscape & Environment Trees HD under Notes points to > Detailed instructions available. The files listed are in Trees HD. With only 2 additional. If followed then the following 2 textures will be deleted. textures\landscape\trees\Vurt_Pine01.dds textures\landscape\trees\Vurt_Pine02.dds That appears to cause the missing textures. Ture, but as others indicate, those two textures are supplied by SFO, so this is not an issue with the instructions. You must have not installed SFO correctly is my guess. Remember: the new SFO does not use Vurt's custom tree meshes anymore (AFAIK), so I am guessing that those textures may no longer even be needed. Can anyone confirm?

Updated the template a bit.Good edit. I didn't like the right-floating heading on same sidebar, so I created a proper heading.
