  1. Correct - no manual tags are needed. WB does the correct thing and will pick up the new mod automatically. If you read the WB report that is shown when you refresh the patch, you will see it listed in the Levelled List section.
  2. RELEASED : Book Covers Skyrim - Lost Library
  3. I have just posted in the Mod Author's Consortium forum asking for an eyeball on a late beta of the Lost Library prior to public release. If one of our modders would have a look at it I would be most grateful. The current status is that I have hand-placed all the skill books and finished all the script and quality check work. I still have to create the SkyRe patch (all two records of it!) and do some artwork for the Nexus mod page. I hope that, barring something stupid being highlighted, I am approaching public release on the Nexus within a few days.
  4. I use 7z set on the very highest compression level for BCS and have had two users out of quarter of a million complain about it not working. It turns out they had an old version of 7z that didn't support the newer compression level. I try my very hardest to make the mod file as small as possible, even if it takes an age to uncompress in MO.
  5. Desaturated textures are downloaded 2:1 over the regular. If you prefer a "hot" ENB I definitely recommend desaturated. The great thing is that (apart from the download) it is easy to swap.
  6. I have seen Whiterun Guards entering Silent Moons Camp too. A feature of OBIS perhaps?
  7. I am having difficulty finding Requiem's current Skills list... is there a short list available somewhere? As far as I can see, the only naming change for Requiem Skills is Light Armor to Evasion, yes? If that is the case, there will be no Compatibility Patch needed between Requiem and the Lost Library. It will work right out of the box.
  8. The way things are at the moment, the Lost Library will require Dawnguard and Dragonborn (but not Hearthfire). The reason for this is that there are vendors in Castle Dawnguard, Castle Volkihar and Solstheim that are eligible to draw form the new Merchant Lists. Initially the mod will not actually require Book Covers Skyrim but that will change quickly as I start adding the mini-quests and treasure hunts that will pick up the existing Book Covers Skyrim Note and Journal textures. There will be both Desaturated and Original textures, just as you would expect and I will split the mod into two parts... the BSA archive with the textures, meshes and Merchant script... and the ESP itself. This will allow me to have a more rapid update schedule as the hand-placed books roll out with their mini-quests. SkyRe will be supported right out the door with (initially) a Compatibility Patch which will switch on the Wayfarer skill book and switch off the redundant Lockpicking book. It would be simple to merge those into the main ESP yourself if ESP slots were tight. So what is left to do before an initial release, then? I still want to make a quality check on the Merchant Script although I have already pulled the skill books from it and tweaked the new Merchant List percentages down a bit. I then have to hand-place a single copy of each skill book in the world. After that, I will package it up, review it and write an introduction. The initial release will just be the new covers appearing at a low chance on Merchants (apart from the skill books). I will then start working on the hunts and caches that I have in mind.
  9. Out of interest, is SkyRe still one of the more popular mods for which I should construct a Compatibility version of the Lost Library? It has been so long since I last played Skyrim (been working on BCS and the Lost Library for a year and a half) that I am a little out of touch. It isn't quite as simple as just a Compatibility Patch because the vendor script places books in the Merchants and I don't want the skill books turning up there. One solution would be to pre-remove the SkyRe Wayfarer skillbook from the Merchant list and hand-place a single copy. Then all I would have to do is switch on or off the Skill gain depending on which version of the ESP the player was using.
  10. Milestone reached : TEXTURES COMPLETE Two-hundred and nineteen book textures complete and we have reached the end of the list of regular TES 2/3/4 books with Zealotry, a tome by the minions of our favourite Mad God! Along the way I was able to take advantage of some of the existing Book Jackets Oblivion covers by Phoenix Amon and Grimbot, including this one (well done guys - your textures were exquisite)... My next step is to format the contents of the last thirty-odd books, decide on the large/small book balance, check the values and then pick out the skill books.
  11. When installing No NPC Greetings (Reduced Distance) there is a Readme (Cipscis - No NPC Greetings Readme.txt) that can be excluded.
  12. Neo - you have changed your guide to say it is largely complete now and effectively being maintained as mods update. Do you intend to add any other categories of mods such as Vampire and Werewolf overhauls? EDIT : Ugh, font size has gone weird on the forum - this appeared as tiny text.
  13. I have put the Blue Book in exactly as the Imperial Library has got it but there is scope to add other books later. At the moment I am up to 190 books done with around 30 left. I then have to decide which are the taller, fatter books and then check the values. Once I have picked the skill books I will withdraw them from the merchant and levelled lists since they will be hand-placed. That will be the point where I will consider an initial release... a version that, apart from the skill books, is merchant or loot only. I will then branch the ESP and start finding places for book caches and the first mini-quests as well as examining the Developer Texts for candidates for hand-placing.
  14. If you ever played Morrowind with Book Jackets Morrowind, you should remember this... Of course, you will have to find where I have placed the book (no peeking in TES5EDIT) when it is out...
  15. I am convinced... the Blue Book of Riddles and the Fishy Stick Guide are back in. I was lucky that the Fishy Stick Guide actually had a good cover in Book Jackets Morrowind. I did have to upsample and sharpen it but it looks fine when aged properly. I have decided that it is to be rare and, like the skill books, there will only be one hand-placed copy in the game (as an easter egg of sorts). Not even Brand Shei (who has a chance to roll on the All Morrowind books list) will be able to get his hands on other copies of it.
  16. A question for those of you who are sticklers for the Lore and content of earlier TES games... There are several books which have what I would consider "placeholder" text and no real content, such as the Blue Book of Riddles which I outline below... Since the Red and Yellow Books of Riddles have actual riddles in them, should I... A) Locate some appropriate riddles and add them onto the end of the Blue Book... or B) Leave the Blue Book exactly as it is - don't mess with the Lore... or C) create a new book such as the Green Book or Riddles and use that instead? There are a few other books that I have stepped past that are similar to this. There are Joke collections that have a note saying something along the lines of "This book is filled with jokes. They are without exception awful". There is also Cap'n's Guide to the Fishy Stick which has no content either. I guess it all boils down to what folks want from the mod. Is it "Moar Books!!!", "The Lore is Sacred. Praise the Lore!" or "Just give us the good ones"? What are your thoughts on the matter?
  17. When you had the single statues, you picked 4K for the SkyForge. Now you suggest 2K in the pack. Was that a conscious decision?
  18. Approaching 180 books complete once I have formatted the contents of the latest batch. Here's a selection of the current covers (thanks to my wife for her help with designs such as "Of Jephre")...
  19. Book Covers Skyrim has been updated to 2.9.3 and includes the changes to Tolfdir's Notes and Faralda's Notes that Cutting Room Floor suggested (Faralda's Notes were changed to a Journal by doccdr but I have reflected the other changes from Cutting Room Floor). You can always use the 2.9.3 Language Pack (English) to save yourself a large download if you wish.
  20. MO changed how it handled BSA extraction a few releases back and now takes the toggle from the menu.
  21. Aha - that was it. Thanks. Now all I have to think about are the USKP/BOYD edits that were not being picked up by ASIS. I may have a secondary Conflict Resolution with my own edits because the Breezehome mod doesn't reflect them either. EDIT : ASIS was not picking up those values because the Breezehome mod was not reflecting them. BOSS puts the ESPs in the order USKP - BOYD - BreezehomeFullyUpgradeable - ASIS so I need to make a BOYD - Breezehome compatibility patch.
