Added a note about the file extensions and how to avoid it in the OP.

Need screenshots, and ofc. try out the latest version 250 instead of 246... so far AMD users have responded positive on enbdev.

Dynavision uses the ingame version of depth blur, and hence is only controllable from the CK and the scripts it rely on. Darker nights are not required at all... they are just a waste of mod list space imo, since ENB is entirely capable of making nights as dark or bright as you want. The DB weather patch is my take on how Solstheim should be. You can use the CoT module instead if you want, however the ash storms in that I have not touched at all, and wont, since they are imo so hasty made that they would require some love in the CK. Also I in general do not agree with the way the regions are made... essentially just disable vanilla weathers, and throw all CoT weathers on top. The one you talk about was the old version before I updated yesterday! Where I just made all the vanilla weathers compatible with Skylight. In this week I will go over the dawnguard content as well... Just need to sort out the details, and spoil the game entirely for myself! :)
-
Just to be rude I just uploaded the latest version of Skylight!.... now at v.20a Now also with my own dragonborn weather patch.... for those that want Solstheim to be the sun abandoned bleak land that I think it should be. I must warn you... due to many recent changes and effects added to ENB the screenshots are no longer accurate! However in terms of color it is somewhere between realvision and unreal I would say... depending on weather. I will be making new screenshots, and a new fancy help guide in the coming week.

Would depend on the motherboard as well as the sticks.

Why Elder Scrolls Online fails to Deliver (for me)
Aiyen replied to Uhuru's topic in General Game Discussion
I found this informative, and a bit funny! There are also others burried away in other forums I have stumbled upon but I do not really recall them in detail. Just the people who want to make an MMO, and people who criticize MMO´s in general have no idea on how vast a project it really is. https://forums.epicgames.com/threads/709760-How-to-make-an-MMO-in-UDK! -
Why Elder Scrolls Online fails to Deliver (for me)
Aiyen replied to Uhuru's topic in General Game Discussion
It is an MMO... it has to pay the bills, and the main market is the casual players.. hence there will always be pay to win in MMO´s. About wow... the fact that it is still running is not surprising... the fact that it still has a subscription fee is! It is really quite amazing that people want to pay monthly for it... The reason other games like LOL, DOTA, PoE (Path of Exile) can offer their games for free is mainly because the actual cost of running shop and development of the product is quite a bit lower then for an MMO. If ya want a good laugh at times you should try to find some game development forums, and see how many people want to create an MMO that "has crysis graphics, good meaningful RPG gameplay, etc". The responses from developers who have tried the same, or been part of MMO projects... etc. their responses are sometimes quite amusing. -
With the latest version of ENBoost then Boris has decided to implement support for up to 192Gb of memory use with compression..... Talk about securing for the future!
-
As long as you document what you are using and provide all the info required for people to try to help you out you will be fine. Using the STEP guide is "easy" to provide support for, since most issues that arise will be due to a bad install, and have been experienced by other users before. However once setup correctly it has been verified by many people to be completely stable and working nicely.

Manually ofc. using both CK and t5e. Fairly simple to see if a weather has a path to vanilla textures or not. But CoT itself does not include any vanilla texture replacements.

Random as hell....Can't play until this is fixed!
Aiyen replied to 7hr08ik's question in Post-Processing Support
Edited: Forgot to check the enbeffectprepass! it does has noise... but most likely something is wrong with the files. Double edit: And enb manager strikes again as a piece of ... meh! Amazing how many times one must say it. -

Letterbox grain etc... can only be enabled via the .fx files (and effect.txt). So you clearly must have one where it is activated. Remove all the ENB related files and manually copy in the files back in again.... none of that enb manager .. meh stuff. It cannot be anything other then that... Assuming you do not have a weird hidden SweetFX profile laying around as well. -
Yeah.. no point in updating drivers unless you absolutely have to these days... they normally cause more issues then they fix.

SKYRIMLE Project Parallax Remastered (by Osmodius)
Aiyen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Vanilla meshes do support parallax as it is ... there are just some errors in the code which can make it look sort of buggy. Easiest way to see it is to take enb then try to switch enable effects on and off while looking at a model with parallax enabled.. you can clearly see the shifting. -
In general even if you got parallax in vanilla then it is badly implemented, and requires ENB to fix various bugs with it... sort of like shadow stripping. Vanilla has the feature, but fails completely in terms of quality. In general this mod would never work without proper parallax, quite as simple as that. This is also that answer to the question the "Why do I need to use ENB" questions... it fixes bugs.

The general difference on landscape is that higher res textures normally have more clear details, hence more "black outlines" around small rocks etc. and these are in general more defined. At lower resolutions then these details get washed away since the outlines of the details is not very pronounced. Also worth mentioning then if you use any sharpening in your post processing (Most ENB´s and or SweetFX stuff do that) the details of higher res will also become much more apparent, and the visual difference between 1k and 2k is even larger... which is mainly why screen archer shots look really really good and why going at least 2k is a must really. But overall you only ever notice the difference is you have been playing around with 2k for a while and then go down to 1k.. it will stand out like night and day... so just make sure you make up your mind on what resolution you want to use before playing. The whole VRAM argument is to be taken with a grain of salt.. you are only forced to 1k if you have less then 2Gb really. Once you have that much and a semi decent rig then current memory management and properly setup mod lists will allow you to run stable with 2k without much fuss. Granted you wont be able to run at really high ugrids values if that is a must for you, for that you still do require 3Gb or more... or go down to 1k. Since even more textures are loaded into memory at once.
-
Depends largely on the model size as well. Essentially it is model size and hence distance from object that matters. You can clearly see a difference in terrain textures between 1k and 2k, and on large walls etc. For weapons and armor there is a huge noticeable difference since they are always up and in your face. Also for certain textures pixelation become an issue with lower resolutions. Really noticeable for clouds, but also skin textures.
-
It is not broken... I just find it way more distracting then any difference between 16:10 and 16:9 would ever bring. It is possible to use 90 in Skyrim just fine... I just find it looks really really weird ;)
-
The left pane is set to priority sorting, hence mods lower down will overwrite content with the same file path as stuff above it. It is correct that you should have the unofficial patches at the top and let other mods overwrite it... since they most often has the content you want to use. The unofficial patches is just corrected vanilla content, which might not work or look as intended with the other mods.
-
Also it would be better to have screenshots that aint in the inventory.. since it does not have a proper representation of game world lighting actually. And that does upset how they ACTUALLY look quite a bit I would say. Sorry Root! ;)

You should create a folder that has the scripts, and SKSE.ini file in MO so they are used. File structure should be .../scripts/ .../SKSE/ This you can copy into a folder manually... compress it and then install it via MO as normal. Then it should work nicely. The actuall .dll from SKSE you need to manually place in the Skyrim Dir.
-
It is a matter of getting used to it.... I used to know a guy who still up till like a year ago or so SWORE that he could not play on anything not 4:3... But was just really stubborn about change. Imo then 16:10 is just a bit... meh... when you get up to the good monitors you pay quite a bit extra for the extra pixels, and they are nice for working on.. but for gaming I do not really see the difference. Also increasing Skyrims FOV have so many annoying issues with it that it just looks stupid no matter if it is a 16:10 or 16:9 you view it on. Having way way way too elongated objects near the edges is personally much more distracting for me then the extra 120 pixels up or down. As for windows use... if one starts to argue over the quality of the icons then.... I am at a loss for words lol :)
-
You need to install SKSE manually! Once you do that and have the SKSE launch set in MO you just install SkyUI and ignore the warning... It is just a silly installer leftover from the NMM days. Also you do not have to run utilities like Optimizer textures though MO... just install it and then just go find the mod with the textures you want to alter in the "mods" folder of MO. Hope that helps a bit.. otherwise I am sure someone else will give you a more detailed overview.

Depending on rig, and a properly setup system, and ENBoost you can run with almost all 2k these days with no stutter even on a 2Gb card... I can attest to that! The main reason why some people with a good graphics card still get some is most likely because other parts of their machine... most likely their motherboard cannot deal with the bandwidth required hence they get stuttering no matter what. There are quite a few decent guides around this month that helps you setup skyrim properly, however there is no clear "You must do this if you have that hardware"... only rough guidelines, since again it all depends on the system as a whole.. not just how big a GPU you have. Experiment away... it is fairly quick to go over all the options, and it is very clear what the limit of your machine is... also using MO it is really quick to swap between 1k and 2k textures on a whim.

Yeah what is up with the saturation levels between them lol I actually think the vanilla ones have the best there (in saturation terms).... better circ are in general too dark, and the other one too bright.. mainly because the saturation is so different between them. Also what is up with the apparently missing gems in many of the shots ? Seems like there might be bugs in the machine!
