  1. For the "Advanced Alloys..." mods (correct it's not a bug), I had put that there since it overwrites meaning it should be in section A2.
  2. For Clothing Fixes by Request, I didn't notice it under Optional Files. Might put that in the note.
  3. There is a preview of 3.0 beta of RCRN up on YouTube. Looking pretty good so far.
  4. You are correct that Bethesda fixed the load order issue. The ini edit is still valid, but if you wanted to load the ESP's instead, that is also valid.
  5. I guess it can. Never played it myself, but you can host your own server and make it private.
  6. Checked the mods suggested here. I'm still a fan of Varied Guards and Stormcloaks as some of the outfits in select cities just fits better IMO.
  7. Sounds good. And great way to make use of that internet connection while you're sleeping. :)
  8. I've enjoyed the team aspect of MMO's, but they've mainly gone south making them boring and pointless (for me). Though I did try out the GW2 beta this past weekend and really enjoyed it, at least in the beginning levels. But the one thing that MMO's just can't compete with in a single player RPG is graphics, particularly when the game can be modded. That's a big win. What I would actually like to see is a hybrid between the two. I don't care about connecting to a server where hundreds or thousands of folks are running about. But something that allows for modding the game, but with the ability to connect with a few friends on a private server would be awesome.
  9. I'm all for a good cleaning of the house when the house gets dirty. :)
  10. Here here! Just east of where I live there are a lot of families that home school, and the media downplays it from time to time. It's absolutely absurd. Home schooling is even outlawed in Sweden.
  11. Haha...very well said. Thanks for the good laugh. :D
  12. Do you mean Ambient Occlusion? In all of my settings, ingame AA is always set to 4x. No, I meant AF. :) You had yours at 16x and Quality, with Anisotropic sample optimization on. I always had that off (default) and the quality setting at High Quality. I didn't really notice a difference when changing to your settings, but I gained a lot of FPS.And thanks, had mine set at 4x aswell but just wanted to make sure. Gotcha. That tends to be true for a lot of things where performance loss just isn't worth it as the visual quality is minimal.
  13. Thanks for the heads up Vond. I only have a handful of mods installed at the moment for specific testing, so I probably wouldn't run into that in my current state. I'll test this again once STEP is released.
  14. Just tried this out in a couple locations, and it works very well. In particular outside Whiterun when looking at the castle walls when the shadows move.
  15. Do you mean Ambient Occlusion? In all of my settings, ingame AA is always set to 4x.
  16. As a follow-up, I've been running around the country side with 2x2 SSAA and the IQ is still really good. It appears I can tell when textures are being loaded at certain points as my FPS will drop down to around 48 for a few seconds, but then it will jump back up to mid 50's all the way up to 60. Most noticeable when the terrain changes in a significant way and when getting closer to clumps of trees. Current ugrids set to default of 5 for testing.
  17. Tis a shame that he doesn't release the source if he's not going to continue working on it. Even then, I'm sure there are some talented folks that could tackle a new app.
  18. Thanks for taking the initiative on this torminater, you've been doing some great digging around looking for fixes. I'm a bit busy with other projects, but if I get some more free time I'll let you know and lend a hand.
  19. For future reference, you don't have to manually delete pyc files. They are automatically compiled again if the original python file changes (have confirmed).
  20. Here are three screenshots of settings I've mainly used. In regards to LOD bias, I stopped adjusting it. A lot of documentation out there gives a formula for what to set it to, but I've found a few resources that claim it's primarily needed when you use custom bits (which I'm not using), and as far as I can tell, I believe them to be correct as I notice no difference when adjusting it. One thing to note, is that for the best quality, it is imperative to set the AA and AF setting in the Skyrim Options to match what you set in the control panel or nVidia Inspector, and to set the Antialiasing - Mode to Enhance the application setting. I'm also using a GTX580, so YMWV in terms of performance. Best performance, but very fine transparent details such as wood slats, bars in windows, an particularly grass, still have a wavy feel to them when moving in relation to them (which FXAA does a great job of clearing up, but introduces heavy texture shimmer): Next step up in great IQ without hitting performance too bad. Very noticeable improvement to fine transparent textures and great reduction in waviness: Best IQ with greater hit to performance. Nearly 0 waviness, and unnoticeable unless you are specifically looking for it. There are some cases where it may seem like there is texture shimmering, but it's directly related to shadows (and more importantly how bad they are). Particularly on very light vegetation and without any shadow striping fix. But if you compare it to using FXAA turned on in Skyrim Options, it's obvious it's not the same thing.
  21. I get no texture shimmering. I've been doing current testing with 4x AA set in Skyrim Launcher, and in nVidia Inspector, Enhance the application settings and set 4xMSAA and 4xSGSSAA. I've also tested with combined 2x1 SSAA + 4xMSAA for improved IQ with less of a performance hit than higher strict SSAA. Concerning my ghosting problem, I came across a thread that equates it to a problem with the new grass shadows introduced with 1.5. Upon further testing, that is primarily when I see the image, and it changes to nearly match the most recent view of the landscape.
  22. @Vond I'm getting it out in the open world, and wasn't near any trees at the time. I had come up to an embankment that was rather high that I jumped up onto which may fit in that scenario. I also notice that the image changes as I run around. I checked my configs and I don't have fNearDistance in either of them. Is there a particular value that needs to be set to? I also assume this is related directly to ENB as I've never experienced this before.
