  1. USKP and SMIM work together quite nice, actually if you use USKP then you do not need the main SMIM plugin.
  2. When you say colder areas, you mean Dawnstar, Winterhold, Windhelm? Seems like a no brainer, what's up Bethesda?
  3. Once a Ultimate, GOTY, Legendary edition comes out with all the included content, I think mod authors should slowly move toward supporting the complete game. I know it's hard for people without all the DLC to keep up, but sometimes it's hard to keep a project going forward so long after release of a title.
  4. Moved post to correct thread. I was unaware that the options for this mod had been changed again. Not sure what to do about it. I always thought Dull and Ice was the recommended ENB choice
  5. Mention it to Sparrow or grad an older version that doesn't require all the DLC.
  6. Apparently there was some bad code in cells when loaded that cause them to create stack overflows in windows, and that caused many crashes and is the reason that ugrids settings were stuck in saves. I knew some really smart people would start to figure this stuff out soon enough.
  7. Okay, awesome!!! I knew we had a page somewhere for that. I moved it over so now that part is up to date, just need to rewrite the description so it doesn't mention stuff about old binaries. Quite a few profiles use SweetFX injector, so I'll probably add a section like the SMAA section for it.
  8. Thanks for the input MetalJacx, I've just decided to go ahead and list 4 presets SkyRealism, the Vanilla as modder's resource, Cinematic and Vibrant for vanilla Skyrim or with CoT/RLO, and Realistic for one-size-fits-all. Here's a what the three presets that already exist in the ENB Choices section look like updated. I'll move them over to the ENB guide and then I've got a couple more almost done. I just gotta get rid of my gf, so I can get back to work.;)
  9. I'll check out Pineapple Vision, and yeah I know about Aiyen, but I'm not going write anything about it until it's done. I'm starting with the three that are already in listed in the ENB Choices section and then I'll move on to a couple others that really good. SkyRealism is definitely not a beginners preset/s, lots of stuff going on with it and MTich did his own HLSL stuff too, plus there is three DOFs included, and about ten presets total, guy's a beast. I just need to know if people are actually using it and what preset and opinion they have.
  10. Is there anyone currently using SkyRealism? I'm not about to go through all the presets, but I need an opinion on what's good for Vanilla Skyrim and if there is a preset good for ELFX. I like the way Cinematic looks for vanilla lighting and CoT, Vibrant is just to bright, the Vanilla preset is just no good unless you want to tweak it yourself, 70's/Scary/Gothic yeah right, Cold and Bleak actually looks good in screen shots, Warm is decent to, and Realistic is not my flavor unless someone can convince me otherwise.
  11. Deadly Spell Impacts (DSI), Burn Freeze Shock Effects (BFS), and Enhanced Blood Textures (EBT) Skyrim Total Enhancement Project (STEP) you know, just in case.:P
  12. Are you using DSI, BFS, and EBT? Those are the combat culprits in STEP that can cause freezes, otherwise it's a combination of the combat mods you installed mixed with those three that cause you to get freezes. Try different combos of those until your freezes reduce themselves. My last playthrough I did a mage and had Phenderix Magic Transcended with Gifts of the Outsider and it was a total nightmare until I went down to 1k and 512 res textures. That was before ENBoost came out though, I think around v13.7.13.
  13. I don't think that you can go above the page file, but ENBoost allows memory to be cleared when certain parameters are met. Skyrim did a bad job of that and Boris added in some new ones that allow things to be cleared from the cell buffer or VRAM more efficiently. I haven't gotten rid of every ILS in my current playthrough, but I did get rid of all the open world crashes that were happening. I think with this level 30 character I've also only had two combat freezes, and both were with many actors on screen.
  14. My problem is that I just took over my brother account since he was already tracking hundreds of mods, and because I'm lazy like that. I think some of the mods actually get booted off since there are just so many being tracked. I never really have problems with the notifications either unless a mod is untracked all of sudden. I think it is hard to watch a video about something you already know so much about. Maybe ask some people that know nothing or very little about optimization to see if they actually get it.
  15. I could have sworn it was in my tracked files. Sometimes I think things get dropped from my list. Anyways, now I know it's still being worked on along with bronze's other profiles and I'll check it out.
  16. Do you save right after setting everything up? I know that sounds dumb, but it is easy to forget to do if you don't use autosave. Also, I'm sure there is a thread somewhere about this very thing if you search the forum.
  17. I can't see Project ENB being kept since it's so out of date with the current ENB binary, almost no one would use that information, sorry TC. Of course the ones you mentioned are on a short list, plus I would also list whatever Neo is recommending for SR, and maybe throw in a couple that are popular with STEP members or are just important to know about because they are kept up to date or the author contributes to ENB.
  18. Yeah I might pick some of the more important ENB profiles that are from authors who really do something special, then maybe take a poll from the users and add a few more to list that are popular with STEP members. If we don't cater to this community what's the point? Yeah, I like PNENB too, and Phinix has kinda been my translator to the stuff Boris posts on his forums because I just don't get most. He also made a nice utility for people to get the correct settings for the [MEMORY] section based on hardware specs. I probably wouldn't have started working on this guide without him answering my questions.
  19. SubPixelAA in the enbseries.ini is for specular reflections. It makes standing stones look really nice. I did some touch up type stuff to the ENB guide, specifically the Installation, the ENB series INI, and ENB local INI sections. There's some good info in there. I'll start working on the sections with profiles latter today, after I go throw some knowledge into people brains.
  20. So I have Mod A and Mod B, and I have Mod A ahead of Mod B when looking at them using the priority column. This means that any files that Mod A and B share, MO will use the ones from Mod B, because it is last. If I want some of the files from Mod A that Mod B overwrites then I can hide those files from Mod B so that MO sees only the files from Mod A. Also, you can hide erroneous files that get installed or are not needed.
  21. ENBoost is now built into ENB and is controlled through the enbloacal.ini. The [MEMORY] section is the basis of ENBoost and under [GLOBAL] the line UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics will turn on/off the graphics modifications while keeping the memory reducing features on.
  22. I pretty sure there is out-of-date stuff on the ENB Series INI tab because it's from old binary version like 139. If you could just read through and see which ones are no good, I'd remove it. Also, from the enblocal.ini do you know what [ADAPTIVEQUALITY] section is for? What is the SpeedHack line for? The FixPhysics line is for when vsync is disabled and FPS is >60 correct? I read the ENB forums, but I just don't understand Boris most of the time. If the language barrier was from Spanish I'd be fine, but not Russian. So, just get rid of the ENB Choices tab and move away from recommended profiles? I was kind of thinking about just redoing it with a few profiles, including the recommended SR profile and a couple other I am familiar enough with.
  23. Okay I've started working on the ENB Guide. I split the INI config into two separate tabs for enbseries and enblocal INIs. Enbseries.ini section still needs a ton of work due to the amount that has been added or moved to enblocal.ini. Also, added some stuff to the Installation tab now that the [MEMORY] section in enblocal.ini is dependent on hardware specs, added a link to a utility that will help people figure that section out for easy copy/paste. The ENB Choices section needs mucho mas attention and it would be good to start taking a poll of what ENB profiles are being used the most by STEP users to redo that section. I think most of those are using v119 and v139 binaries and maybe should be scrapped. Does anyone know if the AdditionalConfigFile line in enbseries.ini is still active? Has it been removed or is it hidden?
  24. If you use T&B then you can forgo changing anything in SkyTweak's commerce options. Use SkyTweak for the stuff that T&B doesn't affect because it also comes with some nice fixes.
  25. Ahh... Thank you sir, this is exactly what I was talking about.
