  1. Okay you should not rename the original file until after the conversion. Leave it whatever name it had when you downloaded it. Some of the BCFs will create the new file with proper names anyways.
  2. Yes, they are 1k and I would probably guess that they are uncompressed do to the way that water textures work, but SP would know more about how they were saved.
  3. Marked as solved.
  4. Actually, I would mark as solved, but this forum does not have that prefix. Admins, do you know why not?
  5. Okay. Marked as solved.
  6. Good point. I wish I knew how to mess around with TES5Edit outside of cleaning. "One of these days" I keep telling myself. ha hahahahaha ha ha ha :( Try this guide it works for all games.
  7. I think there are only the order that you can get by clicking the three tabs on the top of the download box. With MO it is just easier to use the search field at the bottom, so much easier than scrolling through hundreds of downloads.
  8. The overwrites that will take place with that section are with textures and meshes, not with the esp/esm. Boss takes care of the order of those esp/esm for you, so they are in the correct order when Skyrim is started. The install of the mods is different from that order and if you are newer to modding this game, then we recommend installing each mod in the order listed with either Wrye Bash or Mod Organizer. We call 2f conflicting graphics because the textures/meshes will be overwritten by mods lower on the list, and that is by design, but using a mod manager like Wrye bash makes it very easy to install everything and view what overwrites what. Hope that helps.
  9. @wolverine: Do you know of place where there specific directions for using FNIS, Dual Sheath Redux, and any other SkyProc mod that people seem to have trouble with when using MO? I've been wanting to do something for the wiki that seems to work for everyone, maybe with pictures or a video.
  10. A value to low can also cause crashes if there are to many objects and the number is say >1000.
  11. This setting is the stack allocation and large values are not recommended: iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=2147483647 Where ever you got that setting is wrong, as most of the INI settings tend to be. default is 76800, and that is what we recommend.
  12. Oh you need to use the MO ini editor to get it to work, so make sure those lines are '1' in skyrim.ini. Those will overwrite the default ones. And, yes, keep using SKSE through MO.
  13. Go to your documents folder, find My Games->Skyrim->logs. The most recent is 0, and it keeps the last four.
  14. I've been holding off on this mod since I saw it released. Almost to scared to start trying to make it fit with a new playthrough. It has SkyRe support already so there's that. It does look amazing though. Very excited to see how it develops, not we need a proper alchemy redux.
  15. You shouldn't be optimizing anything in the Fixes or Interface section.
  16. Make wiki page and link to it when people need it, easy-peasy.
  17. Well, we owe the UK around 1 trillion dollars so I'd say yeah you need us to pay our bills. What kind of interest do you get on a trillion dollars? One thing that has gotten lost in the last 4-5 years that the Tea party has been around is how their supposed grassroots movement was actually a highly organized multi-million dollar operations from day one. When it grew much faster than was expected, the ultra rich who behind funding it thought it was a positive to have so many people jump on the bandwagon and get a bunch of people elected. What couldn't see happening is that a lot fringe groups who had kept their views out of the mainstream for decades latched on to the movement and by time anyone realized what was going on, it was too late. The rich created the Tea Party to try and buy their own puppet gov't, but instead they created a monster that they no longer have control over. It has become a movement dictated by radio shock-jocks, religious fundamentalists, and borderline anarchists. And if are a part of the movement and even think about stepping out of line, they will devour you like cannibals. That is the only end game for the Tea Party, to eventually destroy itself through self-destruction, and it has already started. They've only had one real candidate get elected to the Senate, Rand Paul, all the other Tea Party Senators were already in the Republican party before the Tea Party showed up, just jumped on the bandwagon. Their lasting legacy will end up being that they wanted to get nothing done and succeeded, but for that the people will forget they ever existed. And I'm not really sure how long you've had health insurance costs staying stagnant because they are up over 100% in the last 10 years. They may have leveled off for a year or two while companies got ready for the new laws, but overall people are paying way more than tens years ago, and inflation has only been about 3-4% a year over that time.
  18. It is not just the stupidity, but that they really, truly believe themselves to be infallible, like the are on a mission from God. No matter how many times you tell them two plus two four, they don't care because fat radio Jesus told them it was three. They think the gov't can't do anything right, then they get elected and prove themselves right. Wow, I think they just proved perpetual motion can exist. Anyways, Teabaggers or not, I just hope my poorer students now have an option to get help if they ever need it.
  19. Yeah the shutdown does not affect the ability to pay our bills because we are still collecting taxes even with the IRS being mostly furloughed. That fight will be in the next week or so when the debt ceiling is up for a vote again, but that would have a much bigger effect on the American and world economy that this shutdown. We owe England, Japan, and China trillions of dollars, so in about 10 days we will not be able to afford to run our country with everyone else's money. Good thing the American people are totally driven and focused about fixing this problem and not at all fat, lazy, and apathetic to our own problems.... Oh wait:facepalm:
  20. Hell yes!!! That and Witcher 3.
  21. Nothing is going to happen from the gov't being shutdown, unless it stays that way for a couple months. Between '76 and '90 we shutdown 15 times in that 14 year span and no one even noticed. The difference now is that we have 10 cable networks and 50 blogs screaming at us 24/7 that the sky is falling because the louder you yell the higher your ratings. I actually still read newspapers just so I can figure out what the f**k is happening in world. The problem we have now is that opening the gov't back up is going to be hard because the Teabaggers already lost on postponing the ACA since it started on the 1st. The most shocking thing about this mess, is that the people of country refuse do anything meaningful to effect change. We only care until the next football game starts, bring on the Bud, Papa Johns, and NFL!!!
  22. What is the name of the texture?
  23. You are probably just pushing your system a bit to hard. I'd say that you might reduce a few mods to the lowest possible texture resolutions to reduce VRAM as much as possible.
  24. The difference between most countries and the US is that we have states with their own gov't and then cities with their gov't and even counties with their own gov't. Each state has a different way to generate revenue through taxes, Texas does a sales tax, 8.25%, and property tax, which is tied into city/county taxes for schools, roads... Every state is different, some do state income tax, and even some cities/counties do taxes on their own, like NYC. The top earners in NYC pay about 55% tax rate, but they are mostly bankers, so I say raise it even higher! The way I see it is that a county ER is going to charge triple what a doctor's office will and that people that can go to a doctor will mostly get preventive care or catch things soon enough to treat. If you are uninsured then you basically wait until you have to go to the ER, and you probably cannot afford that so the tax payer gets stuck with the cost. If I'm going to pay for it anyways, I want people to get the cheaper healthcare and the ER is not where that happens. I used to have the same plan that our lovely federal gov't has and it is the best health plan you can get, cheap and covers everything. It is almost like they don't want people to have that amazing plan so they can horde all the good coverage to themselves. IDK maybe I underestimate how immoral the morality police in this country can be.
  25. I'm just bumping this mod. Been using it in my new playthrough and it really looks great, brings out the colors and makes the Civil War battles look better.
