  1. I do that tweak anyway as it also stops issues like Uthgerd not rendering when she's talking to the stable hand outside Whiterun etc. Only slight drawback I've seen with it is longer load screens, but I can live with that.
  2. Oh dear. He was a naughty boy, wasn't he?
  3. Ahhhh the dreaded Steam overlay strikes again.
  4. Yes. There's a fix for it on the PCaPP page. Can you actually lockpick at all, though? IE does the actual mini game load for you?
  5. G:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE\skse.ini doesn't exist shows up a few times. Have you made that ini file?
  6. Are you using the -forcesteamloader argument on SKSE?
  7. Yeah it's often the devil hiding in the small details that does you over in the end. Good to see you're OK and going.
  8. More likely that they just wont load and you'll get lovely pink purple areas where they should be.
  9. The only one I don't merge all into one is aMidianBorn. I leave them all separate.
  10. With the first one, yes that's what it's saying; find the optional files that are named and install them. With the second one READ the instruction. It says: Right Click ELE_Legendary_Fs_Wt_Lite.esp>"Light" and select "Remove". Doesn't say anything about Light Emitters. You select the plugin in TES5Edit, when it's done you expand it. Right Click on 'Light', a menu will pop up. Select Remove.
  11. The only real guide I know about it is on the web page for it at Nexus. As for SR:LE and Perma, if you follow the suggested load order with it that raulfin suggests in the PCaPP forums you shouldn't have an issue.
  12. The mods you re-enabled. Have you get completely new downloads of all the mods?
  13. 1) Yes, they do the same thing. 2) Not sure I never do it cause I have no wish or need to script. 3) If you merged them then yes. 4) Should be fine 5) No, it's telling you to install the two files from the Mod's Optional Files section. The files called Dawnguard Patch and Dragonborn Patch. 6) No. Expand the mod using the + and then follow the directions. 7) Possibly. If you do, check for errors etc after merge and test to make sure all's OK in game. 8) * is a wildcard. It's a well known computing shortcut to save typing and has been around since Adam was a boy. Like format *.* for example. In your first example it's saying install the files that START with volcanic_ash_darkcliff_01 and have the .dds extension. The second one is exactly what you say. Any file that starts like that and ends with a .dds should be installed.
  14. I'd be considering iNeed over Realistic Needs these days. But your most likely issue is a patch you don't have. Have you looked at Nexus for a Requiem Patch for Realistic Needs and Diseases?
  15. Make sure that you have MO set to manage archives. Check that option is checked and also ensure all BSAS are also checked in the list.
  16. Have you tried a new download of Live another life? The way you describe the issue suggests not.
  17. Try running without it if there's no other option. Not sure what that patch actually covers.
  18. It's likely to be a bad Requiem patch causing your issue. Start deactivating a few at a time till you start ok. Then add them back 1 ar a time till you find the bad one.
  19. If you're not sure if the Load Order will work, run FNVEdit. Load all esm/esp's and let it do its thing. It'll let you know if it thinks something's out of order etc. I cant see much outrageously wrong though.
  20. Requiem will work without the patch. If your set-up is stable and all seems ok, then you are in business.
  21. That patch is apparently out of date. Check the actual pack's forum topic for more info on that. I know Smile44 has said something about it in there.
  22. Yes. If you want to use the newer Requiem, you can, but bear in mind not every patch has been remade for the new version yet. The old version as per the pack works fine, and as I understand it there's someone working on an upgrade/new version pack too.
  23. Probably need more info. 1) What's not clear? 2) Which mods have you confused? 3) Most of the 'missing' mods are now covered in a single Mod package called the Ruffled Feather. Search the forums for some info on that. The Mod Author himself is in here quite often. Can you skip Core Mods? Yes you c an skip anything you don't want to use, but keep in mind that if you do that, you may not be able to use the STEP patches. Oh and what is 'rly'? I don't understand what it means.
  24. I quite like Vivid Landscapes and Serious HD.
  25. However, you can certainly trust that torrent. It's OK. However I hate torrents with a passion too, so all I did was grab that one, then delete all the torrent client stuff and give my whole computer a clean down with hospital grade disinfectant on general principles after having to deal with a torrent. (I jest a little, but I did give it a through going over with Microsoft Security Essentials and a few adware and crapware crawlers and nothing showed up. Still... Torrents, brrrr) Once you do get it downloaded, zip it up and save a copy somewhere. I have a little folder on my desktop of handy Skyrim mods I don't want to have to torrent or rely on dodgy sites for again. Things like SRO, KS hairs and SG hairs.
