  1. Keep a copy of the Mod Organizer 'Mods' folder somewhere. Possibly also the 'downloads' folder as well. Then just copy them over to the new install.
  2. Take your time and keep an eye on the prize: playing the game. :) Give you a goal. Otherwise you'll get lost in analyzing everything down to the nth degree and continue to never get any further than Whiterun. :) And no harm asking questions. Adds to the knowledge base on here, and that is NEVER a bad thing. And my other Credo: Not everything in xEdit NEEDS to be green.
  3. I did it before STEP actually replaced it and it seems to work fine. I didn't know about the one linked above though. I may look at that one too.
  4. Cheers Darth. I'm in the middle of doing a full reinstall going back to utterly clean Skyrim. I'll do two profiles, one for the more vanilla NPC upgrade path and one for the full on path so I'll have both available. It'll be the first time I've done this sort of thing so expect a few Wiki editing and other SNAFUS while I iron out my own personal bugs. :)
  5. I'm by no means an expert on CR. An enthusiastic amateur I think is the best description. But I do it based on common sense. If you have a sound record, say, and that's edited by (for example) a meshes/texture mod, CACO and AOS, as well as USLEEP, then I forward it based on what makes most sense. In that case I'd probably use the AOS record, and transfer the USLEEP changes into the CR record. Seems to make sense and work OK in my case. I probably should look more into what stuff is and isn't really a conflict per-se, though.
  6. I'll get around to it shortly. I want to do a full re-install with all the new versions to see if anything goes 'phut'. From there I'll break out my Wiki-Fu and get stuff done. Give me a week or so.
  7. TechAngel85, actually. Akatosh is a forum title handed out based on post count. Yours for example is Citizen.
  8. There's one in the Gaming section down below. Done by Gernash I believe.
  9. Ah Ok, One of Arthmoors. Did you happen to extract the BSA? (If you have no idea what I mean, look in the files for the mod. Do you see one with a .bsa extension?)
  10. It's Sheson's DynDOLOD Support. :) Go back to the forums front page and scroll down. Towards the bottom of the 'Support and Troubleshooting' section.
  11. There's a whole subforum below where Sheson himself pops in to give support with DynDOLOD. You'll likely get a quicker response, from the source if you post that post down there.
  12. Say Darth, if you want someone to help keep the pack up to date, let me know. I think with rayhne calling out updates and me having the pack currently loaded and built we should be able to work it out.
  13. Yeah you can do that. I usually leave the main file alone and just merge any other patch esps there are. Just watch for dependencies else you may tie yourself in knots.
  14. That's not unusual. It's something that happens to some people but not others. If it happens just do what you did, which is fine, or alternatively, put all the cleaned esm's in a mod called 'Cleaned Vanilla ESM's' and place it just before SKSE. Then put the backups back in the data folder and rename as necessary.
  15. You could always try going to Steam and verifying the game cache. That should bring them back, in the original, uncleaned form. Whether you did something untoward or something when awry in the cleaning process I cant say....
  16. When I'm using those sort of mods I usually do a separate section labelled just 'NPCs' or 'Followers' or similar and slide it in between Skin and Body and Animation and Skeleton sections.
  17. Did you clean the esm files and not copy the backups back into the Data directory and rename?
  18. Easy way to get his load order is to flat out drag and drop stuff so it mirrors his. I doubt it's 200 plugins you'd need to move. Another way would be to get the loadorder.txt file from your MO profile, open it in a text editor and modify it so it's mirroring Darths load order. Then when you're done, CLOSE MO, copy your modified Loadorder.txt file into the same place you found it in your profile and then reopen MO. The plugins should be mirroring Darths.
  19. No, it's not required any more.
  20. Just chopping the zeros off ie 960000 to 96 should get you fairly close.
  21. That works too. Probably a more elegant way of going about it. :)
  22. Either way works. But note: You'll likely find the original output will be completely overwritten by the new output with Sexy Move added, so you can probably just delete the original and make a whole new mod.
  23. Realistically, the chances of breaking anything really badly by updating is pretty small. Most updates are just that, updates, as opposed to massive overhauls. Additionally, patch-makers are usually extremely quick at jumping on, and patching out/up anything really glaringly bad. If something strange does occur, note it, take screen shots etc, come in here and give us the info and we'll be sure to work it out pretty quick.
  24. You can try the older precursor of LOOT, ie BOSS, if you can find it. It's not as quick and simple to use though. Still I know some people who still use it even now. When you say it needs too many updates, what do you mean exactly? If it's basic stuff like Windows updates and such, you probably really need to be doing those in general anyway.
