Yeah, I meant that one. I'm typing from memory, at work now :) What is WAF-R?

wanted Installing ASIS and SkyRe with some additional stuff

I'm guessing for new game only steps 2-6 are necessary and no other actions required? -
Mind you, I rushed and posted this without testing, I'm at work now :P I found this when reading through Real Shelter mod page though, so I assume it's a trusted source.

Don't get me wrong, WB is a great mod manager and it's way more advanced than MO, but it comes with a cost - you need to spend significant amount of time leaning it :) I use MO for mod management and WB for conflict detection and Bashed Patch creation. -
I wasn't aware of the below trick until today, so I though I will share it! When you are testing new mods and want to create a new character for this purpose, you would probably install Alternate Start and create one from there, as it's a quick start. Instead, you can just open console in Skyrim Main Menu and use coc command straight away (i.e. coc riverwood). This will create a default character, that will have no saved data or scripts that could affect it. So simple!

I would recommend switching to Mod Organizer. It's similar to NMM and easier to use than WB. It has integration with NMM download button on Nexus, profile managament, so you can use different mod set up without messing with installing and uninstalling mods. MO uses virtual Data folder, and keeps your Skyrim Data folder clean (the mods are installed in external location, each mod in separate folder). -
I would also recommend MO over WB if you plan to create separate profiles, i.e. vanilla, testing profile, gaming profile etc. I have a separate profile for each of my characters, as I use different set of mods for them (I don't use extra spells or magic overhauls on my warrior profile, I have Moonpath to Elsweyr installed formy Khajiit character only etc.). But that's offtopic now, so back to 2.2.6 bug reports - there are separate threads to discuss mod managers, so please post there regarding the topic.

Yup, that should work perfectly fine. In fact, I may just merge that and Improved Weapon Swing Sounds, by the same author.

DROPPED HQ Milky way galaxy (by Manesse)
rootsrat replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Ok, so if TES universe is entirely new universe, then surely all our assertions and discussions regarding other mods are wrong. For example, replacing moss on trees, someone said that where they lived the moss on trees if more yellow and we included the mod based on that suggestion. If this is another universe, we can't compare to Earth, no? I just have a feeling that we're exaggerating when it comes to justifying mod inclusions/exclusions :) Nevertheless, I will be keeping this mod, as it makes my Skyrim sky pretty and I can't really tell if this is Milky Way or not by looking at it. To me it's just a nice looking night sky :) -
If this is going to make it's way into STEP, there merging is out of question - but of course feel free to experiment :)

I was just looking for some weather enhancers and he made a few mods for this :) Not sure about performance hit, I have not tested it yet properly. The guy in the above video mentions it's minimal though.

https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27022/ Yet another weather enhancement from Manny. Looks awesome on videos and it's compatible with CoT. Instead of describing it, I will just post this: [video=youtube]

https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24810//? Another candidate for packs. It's supposed to work great with Manny's other mod, Supereme and Volumetric Fog.
-
https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24460//? Great fog mod, compatible with CoT. Good candidate for packs. I'm including this in my playthrough to test it.
-
Definite candidate for packs, compatible with CoT. Just bumping, really.

https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22648 From the author of Improved Horse Step Sounds and Better Weapon Swing Sounds, both already in STEP. This mod changes the dagger swing sounds so that they are different to 1H swords - definitelly more "daggery". It sounds greatm however it has an ESP though, so not sure whether it's worth a slot. I don't think I will be using this, as I'm nearing 255 ESPs in both of my current profiles, but maybe some of you will find this handy. I wonder if the author would be willing to combine BWSS and this mod...? ::EDIT:: I messaged the author with the above question.
-
I just came across this. What do you think guys? I can't really make up my mind whether is more or less realistic with this mod... There is no ESP, just a sound file inside - no brainer at all.
-
Thanks for the heads up! I was considering trying this new version out, but didn't read the full change log yet. Guess I'll hold my horses for now.

DROPPED HQ Milky way galaxy (by Manesse)
rootsrat replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Really, I don't get why do you guys consider it lore breaking. In theory, yes, I agree, but seriously, how many of you could actually tell it is Milky Way, if you weren't told??? Would you really recognised it if this mod was titled "Just another galaxy mod"? Is there even one person that ever went "Oh great Talos, do I really see Little Bear and Polaris star there?!" while looking at Skyrim sky with this mod installed? -
I am not using any multiple follower mods and the issue persist, therefore I think it's safe to say the problem lies in this mod, not follower mods.
-
I have another bug to report. As per the mod description page: This happened to me twice now: after I went to bed, my follower (Faendal) started to walk away from me. Presumably heading home (1st time I could not find him anywhere, 2nd time I cancelled sleep and followed him, he was just walking and walking...). The sandbox is broken, as followers should come back to follow you again when you awake. This does not happen apparently. ::EDIT:: I reported the above bug and I've also suggested to the auther that he makes a new version that disables auto-reequipment of items.

@Vond - I'm not really into metal (used to be, ages ago), although I am a fan of Neurosis: [video=youtube]
-
Fair enough, still though - it does break the immersion to me, and I prefer to use ENB and not have the sleep animation than vice versa :) Personal preference.

I was a fan of nVidia for GPU's and AMD for CPU's. Few years ago I switched from nVidia to AMD card and I was very disappointed I must say. Perfromance and comatibility... painful. I can't remember when was it, a few years ago now, so it may not be relevant now. When that AMD card became a bit old I switched back to nVidia and I was a happy bunny again. There is this stereotype that nVidia is for gaming and AMD is for processing - and I can see where this came from.
-
Well, that doesn't change the fact that my character stands up before the wait menu appears, no? This is still a bug. ENB brighteness is just a factor that exposed that bug. Closed eyes is resolved by quick save and load - takes only few seconds, but still - it's not ideal. I excluded this mod from my playthrough anyway.
