SKYRIMLE SUM - SkyProc Unified Manager (by Leviathan1753)
rootsrat replied to darthbdaman's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I would use High Resolution Texture Pack from Bethesda and the Unofficial Patches for the relevant DLCs you have: https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19/? https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23491/? https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25127/? https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31083/? https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31255/? This will get rid of annoying bugs and still let you fully experience the pure look and feel of the vanilla game. After that I would encourage you to start with pure STEP installation (https://wiki.step-project.com/Main_Page) to get the grip of what's modding about. Skyrim Revisited is an excellent guide, but it's rather for more experienced modders, as it involves modifying actual mod plugins, some custom installation instructions and dealing with things like Sky Proc Patchers, ENB etc. If you feel comfortable you can jump straight onto it, but just browse our forums support section to see how many issues can crop up with pure STEP, which is very straightforward process. It's only my recommendation, so feel free to do as you please of course, but I think it's better to actually PLAY the game first, then dip into modding and PLAY the game more, and then you can start doing more advanced stuff so you can spend 90% of your time modding and only 10% actually playing, like the most of us do now :D -
Ouch! The fame hunger... Unbelievable!

SKYRIMLE SUM - SkyProc Unified Manager (by Leviathan1753)
rootsrat replied to darthbdaman's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Skyrrim Revisited guide uses the following SkyProc Patchers: Dual Sheath Redux and Automatic Variants. Without SUM you have to run each patcher separately. SUM is in fact also a SkyProc Patcher, but it's designed to combine other patchers into one file, rather than 2 separate ones. However, if it's your first Skyrim playthrough I would strongly encourage you to play vanilla (unmodded) game first! Not only it's definitely worth it, as unmodded Skyrim is great game on its own, but it will also allow you to appreciate modded game more when you finish it unmodded first. You don't have to do every single quest, but go through the main questline at least. I'm sure many members of our community will tell you the same. -
1st STEP install - Succsess - but a few remaining questions!
rootsrat replied to frozenreads's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Or just start using Mod Organizer and create STEP backup profile, and save yourself A LOT of space on your hard drive... ;) -
I just wonder why would check out her feet?Â

Nice one! Speedy Gonzales, if you don't mind me saying ;) Any chance for a merged ESP version? All-in one (apart from custom mods): Waterfalls+Windmills for vanilla+all DLCs? I know it's easy to do in TES5EDIT, but I thought it could be an idea for you. Haha, I guess I was too fast again. All in one is up. Haven't properly tested it yet though. Hence the BETA. I asked without looking at the mod page, apologies :) And thanks! It's a life saviour when you're close to 255 ESPs limit... ::EDIT:: Sorry to be a PITA, but would you consider making a Total Edition without Falskaar by any chance? I know it's a hot mod at the moment, but there are people without it (like me... I plan to include it in one of my future playthroughs though). If you don't want to, as it's a pain to maintain all these version I totally understand :) Just asking, nicely.

Creation Kit - Leveled items question
rootsrat replied to rootsrat's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Thanks for a prompt reply, Kryptopyr, this is most helpful! -
Hello. I tried to find an answer online to this, but I couldn't... When I add item to a generic leveled list I understand that the minimum level is input in the Level column. However, I would like the loot to be available at higher levels as well. So, if there is an item set to spawn at Level 1, and then a few rows below there is a better item set to spawn at higher level, does that mean that once the higher level is reached, then the former item won't be spawned anymore? An example: Does it mean that if the player reaches level 7, the irow arrow would not spawn anymore, or does it meant that from level 7 there is a chance to spawn both iron and steel arrow? And then at level 49 it's possible to spawn ANY type of arrow (since there are all the other types listed between). Thanks in advance!

Wrye Bash through Mod Organizer error
rootsrat replied to thisisbleep's question in Mod Organizer Support
Solved then :) -
Exactly the reason I said: "If it's good" :) However: I would say it's not only the matter of content and gameplay, but also the community. I'd actually say it's 60% content, 40% community. WoW was a good game IMHO. I really did enjoy playing it. I was in 2 awesome guilds, where apart from serious raids and questing we were doing all sorts of crazy and creative stuff, like mount racing with checkpoints, guild festival with activities, guild lottery, guild member weddings, PvP sabotage (i.e. capture the flag, where instead of running for the flag we would all stay in our base and have a picnic with baskets, big umbrellas etc... Sometimes the opposite side would dig it and join us :D) and many other similar insane stuff. The fun stopped when a lot of stupid "lol-kids" started to appear on the servers. In time it just got boring and lots of good people quit, which in effect killed the game for me.

Full article: https://www.gamespot.com/gamescom/elder-scrolls-online-will-have-subscription-fee-6413369/ What are your thoughts guys? I think it's not a bad decision. I would really hate F2P model, where real money could unbalance the game. The only F2P I really appreciate is the one, where you can spend money on non vital items, such as some pets, clothing that is not affecting any stats or other similar visual things - perhaps cool looking mounts or mount armour that won't affect their speed or defence rating, stuff like that. I will definitely be trying TES:O once it's released, if only to see what it's gonna be like. If it's good, I won't mind paying that kind of money for playing it. I am not planning to become hardcore player (I used to when playing WoW. It did not ended well for my social life and my relationship at the time). Stay casual and enjoy the game for 8 quid a month! :)

ACCEPTED Enhanced Blood Textures (by dDefinder)
rootsrat replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
There are uninstallation instructions on mod's page. However, I am always hesitant when it comes to uninstalling mods from the existing set up, especially if they're scripted. -
ACCEPTED Enhanced Blood Textures (by dDefinder)
rootsrat replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
BSF Effects was the main problem for me. I also used EBT, Duel, TK Recoil and TK Dodge, SkyRe (including EnemyAI module). All those mods, plus the ones that run scripts outside of combat (SkyTEST, Wet & Cold, Realistic Needs etc.) was were a killer for my game. After some testing I removed BSF, EBT, TK mods and SkyTEST - and since then I encounter no problems whatsoever. I had to start a new game, but the previous set up became unplayable at level 10. I am level 12 at the moment (I don't know how many in game hours I played, hance the level indication) and I didn't have a single combat freeze since. -
SKYRIMLE Warburgs Detailed Paper World Map (by Warburg)
rootsrat replied to Besidilo's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
That's great, I'll track your file. I use Texture 2 with no player marker for now. The fact that the map zooms in on your location is actually a nice feature, as if you use a map, you should really know where you are - briefly. Player marker was somewhat an equivalent of modern GPS locator, which didn't feel right for Skyrim. Map zoomed in to your location, but without you actually being able to see the exact position is realistic I think. Therefore I wouldn't fix it, but accept it as a "feature". As for ILS - I use nearly 400 mods in my current set up. ILS' started only recently, but they are inconsistent and not very frequent. Installing your mod had no impact on frequency or consistency of them. -
Loading Screen object rotation
rootsrat replied to rootsrat's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
I never knew that the mouse controls were turned on when in loading screens :) -
I never knew this, so if this is a common knowledge, please excuse my ignorance :) I discovered this tonight! Just a cool little feature. Hold the left mouse button on any loading screen and you can rotate the displayed object by moving your mouse left and right, and zoom in and out by moving up and down! Pretty cool!

Texture 1. Texture 2 coming soon. ::EDIT:: In fact I will do some proper testing and will also attach with and without NACMM for both textures, then move the images to the OP. ::EDIT2:: OP updated. -

Yes, I would presume so. One of the previous versions had the folder, but the files were either missing or not correct, I can't remember now. -
