  1. I thought the same, apart from the 3rd one (the one hanging on the wall) - the new texture looks more realistic I think. I'm not sure I will bother with in game testing though :P
  2. Some ENB's also provide some meshes/textures for the set ups. Did you download and installed any of those with your ENB?
  3. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/38017 A possible alternative to Even Better Quest Objectives, although it's still work in progress. What it does? Reading the description, it removes the quest markers from the map (well, it asks the user to do it manually via ini tweak) and provides VERY detailed quest descriptions. I like the general idea, but I'm not sure how well is this executed. Has anyone used it before? I like the way EBQO handles things, but I wouldn't mind even more detailed objectives and guidance, along with removal of quest markers. I never liked to use the map (especially in Skyrim, where it's just not realistic at all - it's not a map, it's a 3D GPS really)... Â
  4. An optional file was added today to this mod: Here are the screenshots from mod's page. I think he wanted to make them more furry, but they don't look very appealing to me - although they may actually look good in-game... Any thoughts?
  5. Same here. It depends on ENB config and purely personal preference really. I don't think there is any 'right' decision.
  6. Good point. Anyone cares to elaborate? I was thinking of using this mod, but now I'm not so sure...
  7. He used to update more often than he does now. What he used to do, is throw a small chunks of new textures in optional files, and once they built up for a bigger update, he would update the main file. They weren't fixed, just new new textures. Currently all the books (vanilla + all DLC) are complete, but notes and journals are not fully covered yet. It's perfectly safe to ignore the small updates and just wait for the main file updates. Good thing is, this mod carries forward changes from all unofficial patches too. It won't be for core, obviously, as it drastically deviates from vanilla, however I would say it's a MUST for Extended. It really adds to the game. The only feature I don't use are watermarks on the notes - they don't fit well into the game I think and sometimes feel out of place. Also, for the people that say it's not possible for the books in that 'time period' to have such covers, the author offers the following explanation, which I find perfectly viable: Apologies, I was cleaning my Imageshack recently and I forgot I used those shots for compares here! I may do some new ones, but that won't happen anytime soon - I'm moving house this week, so it's all a bit hectic, and then I'm off for 2 week holiday :)
  8. I remember this mod had quite a few conflicts that required a custom patch - it may be due to those.
  9. Clearly, Skyrim AI needs a massive overhaul. Maybe someone will address these issues in a mod some day? But Bethesda should definitely look at AI for next TES game.
  10. Same here
  11. Hahahaha, brilliant! I wish there was some AI scripts that would handle stuff like that, so that NPC are more intelligent...
  12. Update 2.5: Complete changelog Sounds exciting!
  13. Cool. If my new set up won't play along nicely, I will perhaps try your build!
  14. ILS then. What texture packs are you using and what size?
  15. I'll respond to you in PM re photography. For Skyrim set up that you linked on pastebin - did you actually play it for a longer period of time? How stable is it? I am currently finishing off my new set up and I'll be testing it soon, but if there is a already tested one, I don't mind copying it and just start playing. Been fed up with trying to get my Skyrim to work, it's the 3rd attempt at heavily modded game now, and I promised myself it will be the last one. If I fail now, I will reduce my mod load drastically.
  16. Farlo, if you ever plan to do a New Vegas playthrough, I've found a perfect mod for you! I won't spoil it, I'll let you to follow the link :D
  17. :D If you follow a link to my STEP page from my signature here, you will find a list of my characters I intend to play through. There are only 2 at the moment, as, in fact, I totally forgot to add more. I have about 10 character backstories for RP prepared at the moment, but I want to ensure I have a stable game. Fjoldvik is a test subject here, I plan to do a main quest + Companions + Helgen Reborn playthrough, and once that's done and I feel comfortable with the set up I have I want to do all the other characters I sketched. I think I will be adding your bard to the list too ;)
  18. Sounds promising. Is there anywhere to track the progress?
  19. Thanks for this. I won't be doing that playthrough anytime soon though. If I will I will probably customise it too, but I do like the general idea of a character. Also, good points on sneaking, I never knew it was so OP'd (never played sneak character on high levels and for the one playthrough I completed the main quest, I played a warrior type char).
  20. One for Will to look at probably. If he won't see it here, I'll mention this to him tonight.
  21. I never used Local Save Games feature of MO. I use external save game manager for that.
  22. Good thread. I never made a full playthrough with SkyRe, so cannot contribute much unfortunately. I will watch this thread though! Garfink's character idea is a really good one, just would need to come up with some interesting story for my bard. I want to cover all the major questlines with SkyRe installed first though, as I've onlt fully done the main quest in vanilla Skyrim. So Companions, Mages Guild, Thieves Guils, Dark Brotherhood come first.
  23. Nice one, thanks for confirming. I may add it to my list :)
