SKYRIMLE Collect water from wells - RND Compatible by Thicketford
Noobsayer replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I kept meaning to load this thing up in TES5Edit and see if it conflicted with anything of mine. Thanks for the reminder :) -

I prefer 3, with 7 as a runner up, because I think they actually look like moonstone (which is white). Thanks for the comparison!

Alchemy Mods to use with SRLE
Noobsayer replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Keep in mind, with Dynamic Potions you can still use another overhaul. I like Miko's for the rarity adjustments without as many sweeping changes as Phitts, but Dynamic Potions works alongside it :) I don't use the food portion of Miko's because of RND. -
New version gives me the heebie jeebies every time I go somewhere there are spiders. I think I've actually said "eew, gross" when my character walks through some of them, LOL. Love it, even if this is me in real life: :)

I am using only DCO, and have had no problems with it. I always felt like something that big flying by or landing should have physics attached to it, and these do. Pro tip: Don't stand near the edge on the Throat of the World :P Downside, if you want to call it that, is it may get wounded and just fly off if you're too slow about killing it. Personally I like that aspect. I can see how reinforcements and limit breaks could be pretty unbalanced with something like Deadly Dragons alongside it (or if you played on a super tough difficulty, which ... I don't, lol), but it's doable with my setup. I monitor my savegames pretty frequently and I've noticed no signs of bloat. Might give this a try alongside it because at this point I've played Skyrim enough to get better at it and I'd like my dragons a little tougher -- but not looking to pile on MOAR scripts.

It's a bit bright I agree, but better than the blue from vanilla imo. Realizing now that they don't conflict, I will probably combine New Jewels and True Gems. Unscientific screenies showing New Jewels  vs. Vanilla moonstones. Forgot to turn off ENB, I realize that can affect colour :B   EDIT: Added one more pic because the blue is really bad for me in certain lighting. So pics are New Jewels > Vanilla > Vanilla.

SKYRIMLE New Forest Atronach - by Ren by Rengel
Noobsayer replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I notice the stuff that glows in particular, even without pausing :) -
As I said above, I have the problem mentioned in the comments about opaque gems. Here's what they look like for me. Imo it's a common enough problem judging by the comments that might not be a good fit for STEP, at least until a cause can be found.

SKYRIMLE New Forest Atronach - by Ren by Rengel

I love Ren's version personally, though I don't know if it's "vanilla-ish" enough for STEP. It's what I'm using though. :) I like the extra pattern details. -
Wait, are you sure about Moonstone? I swear I tested one that altered moonstone. NJfC has a moonstone pic for sure, I thought that was the one that altered it for obvious reasons, but maybe I'm thinking of a different one.
-
This is what I had been using before. It touches moonstones, which True Circlet Gems does not; however I think True Circlet Gems is sparklier and therefore the one I am now using.
-
For me personally, this effect is more impactful than making the moons bigger. Different strokes for different folks and all that though.
-
I use it simply so my feet don't clip through capes. As a Frostfall/Cloaks/Winter is Coming user, it's pretty huge imo.
-
With Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade you can always just use the circlet versions of helmets to get the protection/set bonus but still see your head and hair. :) Just offering another option.

SKYRIMLE Equipping Overhaul by Dragondude 1029
Noobsayer replied to mightyusaid's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
That either has been fixed or is supposed to be fixed in the next update I think. I like the idea of it but it still seemed to have some wrinkles to iron out last time I checked in on it. Still keeping it in mind, curious about this next big update. -
Nexus Link I honestly didn't think the screenshots were that impressive, but it's Isoku, so I tried it out in-game. I dunno if it's because I use a darker ENB (Winterheart II) or if it's just one of those things you need to see in action to really appreciate, but the difference was pretty noticeable to me when I tried it. It's simple, and subtle, but it makes it really obvious that the moons WEREN'T glowing before installing this mod. Imo fits the "vanilla but better" STEP theme very well, but I'd like to see others' thoughts when using different ENBs or vanilla lighting. Quick screenie of mine that still doesn't really do it justice is below.
-
Also isoku, on the script load for those curious:
-
I'd been using a different circlet gems mod but having switched to this one I think I'll be keeping it. Looks loads better than vanilla. The circlet retextures out there look too fancy for my taste so being able to alter just the gems was awesome for me.
-
I was one of those who got the flat, opaque gems with this installed. I'm not sure why, if I recall I even toggled off my ENB to see if maybe that was the problem and it wasn't. I can try it again. Would love for it to work because they look much better than vanilla in the screenies.
-
Too bad Real Shelter seems to be permanently unfinished. Probably super script heavy too, too much of a noob myself to know lol.
-
Gah. Why does isoku keep adding awesome scripted things I want to use??! Stop it isoku.
-
I've been using this awhile too and it gets two thumbs up from me. EDIT: I also let RWT handle boats.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Noobsayer replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I've had no problems with it myself without the fix. -
Thanks for the heads up about the CCF patch. Had a lot going on in RL lately and I'm a bit out of the loop again. EDIT: Glad to see these officially made it into Skyrim Revisited too. :) They're really very nice imo. I used to download armor mods to play a mage because the original robes were bleh, but I actually enjoy using the original ones now.
