  1. Oh ho ho, been waiting to try the updated version. -trots off to check it out-
  2. I have played and thoroughly enjoyed SkyRe, but I prefer modular perk overhauls personally. Stealth Skills Rebalanced and Enchanting Awakened (though the second has SkyRe compatibility) are great perk overhauls imo. SSR keeps me from getting bored out of my skull with a stealther (otherwise too easy and no real need for pickpocketing or lockpicking) and I always actively HATED the enchanting feature until EA.
  3. I like the transparent weapons >.>; lol And have installed the deposits texture to try it out. :) Looks good in screenies!
  4. Will do about the PM! I hadn't thought of sound overhaul. I loaded up AoS and that looks fairly straightforward to fix. For regions where Winterheart has (vanilla) sounds that AoS doesn't, I guess I'll just remove those and carry over only AoS ones. I patched in Dawnguard for weathers, just adding Dawnguard standard weather to the existing Winterheart weather table for the conflicting regions. I left it at the high (90 percent, if I'm reading it right) chance to fire so it will take precedent most of the time. If it's distracting then I figure I can change it once I get there. :) Huzzah! I I hadn't seen where Neovalen's Legendary version had added all the Touring Carriage compatibility stuff, that's awesome and patched in for me, so I think these Winterheart conflicts are the last hurdles to me starting this game, as I based mine heavily on that.
  5. Sorry, hadn't had time to check for ya. Glad it worked out :)
  6. OK, doublepost may not be necessary but ... just in case. ;) Not directly ENB related, but Winterheart II related. I notice in TES5Edit that Dawnguard stuff isn't carried over -- makes sense, it's outdated. I'm curious ... if I made a patch to carry Dawnguard changes over, would that be a good thing or a bad thing? lol Would it allow Winterheart weathers in Dawnguard? Do I even want that to happen or will that bork stuff? I successfully made a patch to combine a food overhaul with RND compatibility as a test run for this kinda thing, so I think I CAN do this successfully. I'm just not sure I SHOULD.
  7. CCO MCM options now allow for this I think. Yup, it does. While we're on suggested additions and kryptopyr's work, I'm surprised to see Stealth Skills Rebalanced isn't in either guide. I usually lose interest in stealth characters because it's overpowered and cheesy and immersion-breaking, but successful thief-ing feels rewarding with that mod.
  8. I'm sure that makes sense to you, and I GENUINELY appreciate the input (you've been so helpful on so many things) ... but that might as well have been in Chinese xD; I've got it lessened somewhat, still needs some tweaking though.
  9. Mild Solitude spoilers below! So I think I have my Winterheart II playthrough about constructed. Doing some final testing before starting for real, using Alternate Start. The first time I went into the city on the initial "full" test, everything worked fine. However since then, I noticed the execution scene didn't want to fire correctly because the little girl (Roggvir's niece) was missing. The dad would talk to her like she was there, but then he never took his place for the execution so it never fired. Since it was raining, Wet and Cold was the first culprit I thought of. While sometimes it would fire correctly with the "NPC go home" disabled, it still didn't work all the time. (Just did a bunch of loads from a save right outside the gate). Did a lot of testing with "vanilla" (actually Unofficial Patches + Alternate Start installed) and its hit or miss. It seems the error is specific to the character -- IE, if it worked OK the first time off the boat, it works largely every time. Some saves with Alternate Start, Winterheart II and Wet and Cold and forced rainy weather worked. Some didn't. If my pseudo-vanilla save worked, then adding Winteheart II + Wet and Cold worked. If not, it didn't. I can't seem to find a pattern. Any suggestions/similar experiences? EDIT: Nothing modifies vanilla Solitude except Textures and SMIM, but even those weren't installed for "vanilla" testing runs. I use largely the old Skyrim Revisited for compatibility guides. If it's just general weirdness I can live with it, I just want to make sure it's not a deeper incompatibility that's gonna bite me later. Worth noting is I rarely crash in hours of playing, and I suspect heat is the issue there. EDIT: On many subsequent tries it's worked fine, both vanilla and fully modded. Conclusion: Solitude is weird.
  10. Recently tried True Daughters of Skyrim for females. Really like it. linkie Versions for Vanilla, UNP and CBBE. Apparently a male version is WIP.
  11. Do you have the helmet version in your inventory?
  12. I saw where someone had asked but the author just said "it's fine" if I recall, which just came across as dismissive I thought. Having cleaned it, functions perfectly fine as long as load order is correct. I'll post if that changes, heh.
  13. BOSS registered dirty edits so I cleaned it.
  14. I've been using the "beta" (IE, fully functional but lacking some of the bells and whistles such as incorporating Bandolier etc.) for months and can't imagine playing without it. Assuming no bugs have crept into this edition, two solid thumbs up from me. The fact that it's so highly customizable makes it hard to argue with imo.
  15. I don't add major things, but normally adding a single ring wouldn't be a big deal partway through a playthrough. Anyway, I usually set up a mod list, do a lot of testing with everything running, then start a new game and gradually add them in as I play as an extra stability safety net. I admit though, this was a "if I have to cast Ironflesh one more time I'm going to scream" thing. I don't usually play armorless mages so I had no idea how effing annoying it would get.
  16. OK, that makes me feel better. I am already a big advocate of iHUD. <3
  17. OK. So it's not some wtfGAMEBREAKING bug then. I've gotten too far in this playthrough to wanna bork it. :)
  18. So alteration armor spells drive me bonkers. The magic overhaul I use makes it better, but it's incompatible with stuff I've found that makes the mage armor spells toggles. I'd rather not add another scripted thing like Smart Cast to autocast it for me, so I turned to ... DUN DUN DUNNNNN .. a cheat ring. Specifically, the Mage Armor only one. Unfortunately when I went to build a bashed patch after adding it, Wrye Bash gave me a scary error. D: Is this gonna bork my game? I don't understand at all what it means.
  19. Yeah, as long as they don't pop out like that I can live with a little. -trots off to try those settings- Thanks :D
  20. >_< All he said was to untick the SkyUI map box, which is in the readme for the mod page. I'd already used the mod successfully, I just wasn't sure if there was some hidden thing going on on the backend that could screw anything up. The fact that if ANYthing ends up after it in the load order it freaks out makes me apprehensive, which is why I removed it for my "real" playthrough.
  21. Yep, that seemed to be the problem. Which leaves me with one I'm unable to solve. At night there are sort of circular lines in the sky, with almost a subtle rainbow or prism effect. The image is pretty big, should show exactly what I'm talking about. Tried google and can't find anybody talking about this, probably because I'm not searching for the right thing, lol. So I have no idea what controls that.
  22. Is it ticked in the RIGHT pane as well as the LEFT? It's possible it defaults to not activated. I hope you're using the CoT weather patch as well, fixes a lot of bugs in my limited experience with CoT.
  23. I use SkyUI with no problems, and while my current game does not use SkyRe/Reproccer, it worked fine. You just have to add the reproccer for SkyRe ... or use SUM if you're using more than one mod that relies on SkyProc (Dual Sheath redux is another biggie, as is Automatic Variants for instance). So what you "heard" is not my experience concerning those mods. :) I do not use Asis or Character Creation Overhaul, but I do use Racemenu/Chargen Morph and those work fine.
  24. I too much preferred it visually over vanilla. I'll give the unpacking thing ago, I was still using NMM last time I tried it. :) Appreciate the response! The conflict with SkyUI isn't likely to spam an error log or anything is it? Papyrus is still a bit beyond my scope of knowledge for now. ;)
  25. Can I ask a dumb question? Will an audio overhaul add to script load? Sound is lower on my priority list, but it IS still on my list. Or is it like texture packs where if ya've got the VRAM, you're good?
