Dude, thank you!
-
Hello all and thank you for the help. I am having a problem with main quests in general, specifically, starting The Dragon Rising quest. I hand in the dragon slab but Irileth never runs in. In fact, Irileth is no longer in the game as I have tried to teleport to her to see what is going on. I also have had the initial wagon ride at the start not open the gate and had to restart. I also had a couple other issues with a few triggers not working and having to reload a previous save and then they worked. I am hoping one of you could give me any clues into where to look for this conflict as I have been unable to find it so far. I have installed the latest STEP and added many more mods in. Loot has been run and I have no warnings. Loot has some minor compatibility but I have checked these out already I believe. Load Order https://pastebin.com/9br9sN35 Thank you for any hints!

SKYRIMSE Cathedral - Majestic Mountains - Hidden
Selway posted a question in General Skyrim SE Support
Hello All, Thank you for all your wonderful work on this guide. Ive been using it for many years. Cathedral Majestic Mountains has been hidden by the author because he is mad about some stuff. It appears the Skyrim classic edition version is still up. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/86292?tab=files Is there any way to make this work or are we just out of luck with this mod for now? Thanks! -

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Selway replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Ok awesome. Thanks. Also I'm getting delays when opening containers or even the main menu. It seems to get worse the longer the game goes on. If I reload a save it resets itself and starts getting longer and longer again. Nothing game breaking but is there but is there something I should be doing to fix it? Thanks! -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Selway replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Hello All, First, the work you have done is unbelievable and I am so thankful for it. I have installed this pack with very few issues. The only real problem I am having is with ILO. I have searched this thread and forum and this is the only thing that sounds close to the issue I am having but I dont understand exactly what he is saying. It also may be outdated as the ESM Im having a problem with is slightly different. Finally, I believe that I have installed it per the instructions in the guide but I have this error on my ILO - Merged Patches.esp. Missing Masters: NVInteriors_ComboEdition.esm. I have looked through the optional ESPs but that one is not available. I also noticed that in the FOMOD for ILO there is an option for the Combo Edition but we use the other one. Am I doing it wrong? Thanks! -
Just wanted to pass along how wonderful this mod is. I tried it after reading this forum and I have not had a crash in over 20 hours of game play. Before, I was crashing randomly every 30 min or so with a painstaking install (MO, BOSS, TES5EDIT, OPT, Bash Patch, and many more tweaks and fixes.) I'm running full step plus many more mods which total over 180 plus the latest real vision enb. 3.5ghz processor, 16megs ram, Geforce 780 (3g vram), SSHDs.

OK, this mod looks amazing. It's hard to believe how just one guy did all of that. I have a feeling though, that its going to make the base STEP computer config explode. Despite its lore problems, Ill definitely get it. Also, what do you all think about the wood flooring? While technically very nice, I do not think it fits well into the house. It needs perhaps some changes in coloring.

incremental modding progress - how to best test?
Selway replied to Eskiath's question in General Skyrim LE Support
First there is a new STEP 2.2 out which should be some help in this regard. Second, check out Skyrim Installation guide in the guides section and go from there. Basically make sure your rig, OS, Steam, and Skyrim are in optimal order. I think there is a link in there to the Nvidia skyrim tweaking guide as well. As far as textures go, start with how much ram you have. There is a great guide in the Skyrim Installation guide. I have 1.25g vram and I stick to mostly 1024 unless somebody says otherwise on a particular mod. You better check out The Texture Pack Combiner on the nexus too. Cestral has already done most of the heavy lifting for you as far as textures go. Then you need to start getting real freaky with Wrye Bash, MO and DDSopt for serious optimization. Great guides here too on that. Finally, you most assuredly are going to have to start a new game. I doubt your old ones will run with the new setup. -
SKYRIMLE 83Willows-1 EYE OPEN- creep Nightmother and Coffins
Selway replied to Staind716's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Im sorry I wrote that in a confusing way. What I meant to say was, while we install STEP 2.2 now, at what point in the STEP 2.2 process would you recommend installing it now? I realize this isnt official, but I bet you all have a pretty good idea. I have the old copy and Im going to install it anyway. ATM, I would guess towards the end of the environmental texture process and just make good decisions with overwrites. -

At one point (order) would you reccomend installing this if we did have a copy of it? Great work on STEP 2.2! -
With the release of 300, are there any sections of the Wiki guide that are no longer accurate? IE, should I still be following those instructions to the letter? Thanks too for the great guide!

SKYRIMLE aMidianBorn steel plate armor by CaBaL - frihyland
Selway replied to Farlo's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Holly cow! I just saw this and it is amazing. I really disliked the vanilla elven and most, if not all other replacements. CaBal does it again. I LOVE the darker look! Cabal, any plans for an all in one file? -
I cant say as I have never used the Travellers of Skyrim mod. They probably do not conflict and I do not see anything on either of their pages that indicate they do. However, it might start to be overkill. Ill try em both out and let you all know once I get STEP 2.2 fully installed. Although, Im going to need to do some research on protecting all of these NPCs from the all the dragon and moster mods Ill have installed.

Good luck with the move Cestral. I hope you get some relaxation time too! Your mod is amazing and very much appreciated by thousands. The community needs more mods like this to make things easier for the average Joe.  Im very disappointed in to hear that about SRO. I think he is being selfish and unreasonable. Stay strong. We all should offer our support for this in other forums as well.

Here are a couple quick notes from my play experience with this. First, a caravan add on as been added which I love. Second, be aware when starting a new game there is a pack of 5 roaming bandits on the road just out of Helgan that is likely to wipe one out.  Personally, I had fun with it but its not a balanced encounter to start the game.

Found one more concerning the Lush Trees Vurts Compatibility file. In the notes for SMIM, you state that Patches dont work with the TPC. I get what you were saying here but this might confuse some as the TPC uses a file from the Trees HD page that is labeled "Lush Trees Vurts Compatability PATCH." I think this is poorly labeled as perhaps it should be labeled an update instead. At any rate, this could cause confusion, as it did with me for a short time. You might consider rewording your SMIM notes to further eliminate some more possible install errors. I hope you dont mind this input. I figured that with the growth of the TPC, any elimination of possible install errors would be nice for everyone.

Some small nitpicks from my preparation for TPC 1.7: You might consider changing the wording in the "Additional Notes" section regarding the "Lush Trees Vurts Compatability Patch so that is more clear to beginners that, even though downloaded from the Trees HD page, it is installed into the Lush Trees folder. This could be confusing to some and thus might eliminate possible install errors. Also, you might consider renaming, and ordering alphabetically, the hyper link in your "Additional Notes" section for Skyrim Flora Overhall to Vurts Skyrim Flora Overhall. This would be more consistent with the alphabetical load order by matching the name of the note with the name of the actual file. Nit picky but might be useful to you. Awesome mod and thanks again for your incredible effort!

ACCEPTED Bellyaches HD Dragon Replacer Pack (by Bellyache)
Selway replied to I2edShift's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I very much like this mod so far. I actually thought many of the deadly dragon textures I used in the past were not actually that lore friendly. Some were great but some were just over the top for me. Obviously, the quality of Bellyache's are better as well. /cheers -
I cant comment much on the technical details but I really do not prefer the actual look and feel of them at all. They stand out and break immersion.
-
Cestral, I just wanted to say how appreciated the notes you provide for each mod are. Specifically, information that helps those of us that have less than 1.5Gigs of VRAM make decisions on which resolution to download. Knowing things like performance hit and differences in quality between the different resolutions are a big help. Thanks again for all your effort.

It looks like Im in the minority on this one but Im just not a big fan of it. I wanted to like it and I think its an awesome idea. I just didnt feel like the footprints looks natural enough. They didnt fit in well enough to me and broke immersion for me personally. Specifically I thought they stood out too much. I would have preferred the regular footprints to look more like the sneak footprints. Also, the outline of the footprints were too crisp to me. Maybe some variation might helps some... I dunno. I love the idea so Ill keep an eye on this mod to see if it improves.
